Wagon Wheel Restaurant

Can't say enough about the ol Wagon Wheel restaurant in Alturas. We pass through here every year or so and always stop for breakfast. Same employees greet us with smiles, and the locals are always curious. I believe the same group of old men are always at their same table.
The food is good for the price as I'd never be able to get that good of biscuits and grave for that price. Large helpings and hot coffee. Kid loves their hot chocolate.

Great Breakfast food! Best in town. The only thing is they no avocados, I like sliced avocados with mt scrambled eggs. Guess I have to bring my own. 😁

Everything was cooked exactly as ordered. Was served in a timely manner. Fresh and hot. Service was friendly and prompt.

Can't say enough about how pleased we were eating at the Wagon Wheel. Best food I've ever had at an out of the way restaurant.

Very Nice establishment, like a small town Denny's but with a Country twist. Very pleasant atmosphere, Breakfast a must here!

Best breakfast we have had in a restaurant in quite a while, and we frequently eat breakfast out wherever we go! Quaint small place, friendly servers and the food was on point! Even the toasted bread was perfect! If we head back this way we will come back for sure.

First time in the area and stopped in for breakfast. What a great find! Food was great! The pancakes are huge and so good! Super friendly people, very clean and welcoming! We'll definitely stop again!

We had a group of 8 and they had us served quickly and the food and prices are excellent!

A small town cafe that offers yummy country breakfast options and delicious, simple lunch. It's definitely American standard fare. The food is made to deliver comfort and sustain you through your travels.

Best breakfast I've had in a long time ! Eggs cooked to perfection, tasty bacon and pancakes almost as big as their plates. The staff was professional and kind thanks 😊.

My wife and I come here weekly for a breakfast date. Friendly staff, very reasonably priced. Food is great with that made it at home feel.

Ate here 2 years ago when I was duck hunting in Modoc. Had the senior meatloaf and it was the right amount for me and the guy hunting with me. We are both nowhere near senior age. The meatloaf and potatoes were great tasting.
