Les Schwab Tire Center

This is a fantastic location for when you break yourself on your way to, or coming back from, places where reasonable people shouldn't be traveling.

Jeremy, and the entire staff and location, are excellent and I have nothing but praise for them keeping us on the road.

Strong recommend.

Pretty sure the molasses lapped Schwab a few times in this race to change a tire... The employees were more focused on talking about yesterday's happenings then they were changing a tire...
Les himself didn't even like California.... There was a reason for that...

When I got a speeding ticket then a flat tire, my day wasn’t great. Tyler at Les Schwab actually turned my day around! He was so helpful and friendly I couldn’t help but smile! Also he helped repair my tire so I didn’t have to have an unexpected tire purchase! I really appreciated him listening and being so kind and helpful. I didn’t have any cash on me for a tip but he definitely deserved one! Excellent service provided!

We needed a replacement tire for our trailer and the guys at Alturas Les Schwab had it in stock and we were on our way in minutes. Friendly, fast service. Thank you.

Excellent Service and friendly staff. Went in with a flat tire (rear left). The technician removed a bolt from the tire, patched the whole, and I (a stranger) continued my journey without further tire issues.

This is a great store with even better people working there. Never a wait to talk to someone and there quike and to the point.
Iv had them come out to the ranch to change a backhoe tire and I just put new tires on my van, and car last year. I do all of my business with them, because I'm confident in their work and the professionalism. I do a lot of traveling and its reassuring to know that they have locations all over the West. I recommend them to everyone.

We had a blowout but were able to limp into Alturas where Merlin and the guys did everything they could to find a 19 inch tire. Unfortunately, there wasn't one within 100 miles. He was able to locate a used one on hand and it was in great shape! These guys replaced the blowout and moved my rear tire to the front and the used one on the rear.Checked the air in all the tires and then REFUSED ANY CHARGE!!!!

Can't thank these guys enough for their kindness, professionalism, and exceptional service. I was fortunate to have had them nearby and responsive in a flat tire situation as I was passing through the area. Forever grateful and will be taking my business to Les Schwab from now on.

Willy (sp) was super great!! We drove in with a TSP light on and found out 3/4 were bad. This is crucial as we haul a 5th wheel. Everyone was super nice and professional. Would HIGHLY recommend this place! They replaced all the TSPs quickly!

I blew a truck driver tire as I pulled into Alturas. It was 6 15 pm , they were closed. I parked my truck in their lot and called one of their guys. I let him know I needed a drive tire, that I was leaving the truck. He said they would take care of it. I just picked up my truck, everything was done. Great job .

A persistent slow leak resulted in a detour to the nearest tire service center. After some troubleshooting, the super helpful, diligent & skilled staff at Les Schwab Tires in Alturas, California identified the issue. They found that our rim had a hairline fracture which prevented the tire from maintaining proper air pressure. The technicians then installed our all terrain tire on the spare full size rim, checked all the tires again and got us back on the road. We cannot stress how awesome the team at this tire center was. We half expected to roll up to this seemingly middle of nowhere garage and get treated unfairly. They were fantastic. Now it’s time to schedule an appointment with Mercedes Benz to get a replacement rim which should be covered under warranty.

I had a 'Check Tire Pressure' light go off on my van. I drove into Les Schwab, was greeted immediately by Michelle, she diagnosed the problem, even brought my the culprit (a small screw), fixed the puncture, and sent me on my way in less the 20 minutes. Amazing customer service. Keep in mind that I had not bought my tire at Les Schwab, it is just one of the multitude of services they provide. Brings back memories to gas stations when attendants would come out and check your oil, fill your gas and clean your windows! I am certain Mr. Schwab would be proud.

I had to replace two RV tires while traveling through eastern oregon. Les Schwab Lapine OR was amazing. Their receptionist rep was very pleasant and helpful over the phone and in person.
After changing the tires and continuing on, one of the newly replaced tire blow outside of Alturas. Jason the manager from Les Schwab Alturas came out and replaced the blown out tire on site. He also assessed the RV and found that a panel under the wheel well was torn. Jason got the panel issue taken care of and we were on our way. Les Schwab Lapne and Altura is awesome. Thank you Jason. 5 stars for sure.
