Emergency Room at Plains Regional Medical Center

Best crew ever, only waited in main ER for a little less than an hour; Crystal the RN was absolutely phenomenal and extremely comforting, overall everyone was so friendly and listened 🩵

Positive experience. Intake and triage nurses were nice and the doc from Lubbock was helpful. Didn’t have much of a wait either.

Warm blankets and friendly staff. Wait times are understandable.

The Er Dr and nurse that are taking care of me tonight are simply amazing!! So nice and caring.

They were kinda and found my kidney failure pretty quickly. I left a star out because they didn't take me seriously when I said the back pain was different then from previous injuries. also the nurses and doctors didn't communicate before the doctor came in so when I told the nurse I had a MRI three days prior the doctor thought I didn't communicate it to them when he realized I already had one before giving me another.

I DID NOT want come to this hospital. If you have a chance go somewhere different!!! Even if they stabilize you..TRANSFER to a different
hospital.They left my husband in the waiting room for over a hour. After he had a stroke. I had a snake bite and I sat in Er waiting for over 3 hours before being seen. They handed me a napkin to put over my hand.
They service of care is almost as bad as the hospital itself. Please find a different hospital. Okay I would like to update this..the nursing staff and doctors depending what time you go are good to amazing.

Went in a few weeks ago with a swollen leg that was hot and though It may be a clot. The nurse was awesome the the doctor sucked. She came in I explained everything and was told we don't do other research to find a problem we are here for sick people you need to go-to your doctor for anything else. I just explained what had been going on so she knew. They did an ultrasound(the tech was awesome) and he asked about any test that were run. I advised him it was just him and he advised they do labs to. I went back to the room and the doctor came in and said there was no clot which is good and we're getting you out nothing else ran. I really should have complained right there but I didn't.

Went in because i knew i had a kidney infection was in horrible pain. They told me there was absolutely nothing wrong with me and it was just muscle pain.. to go home and take ibuprofen.. went to Santa Rosa ER for a second option and I do in fact have a Kidney infection. Finally got the right medication. Not sure how that was missed in Clovis but the staff was nice.

I’ve had multiple bad experiences. Out of the times I’ve been there, I’ve had 2 great experiences. I got diagnosed with pneumonia today and I only received one day off from work. I also didn’t get the care I’d expect to get from someone who got diagnosed with this too. This really was my last straw.

I've been here a lot and the staff acts like they dont care or have something better to do. Horrible service. Not working with a since of urgency when the situation dictates that it's in fact an emergency. My friend was having an allergic reaction in the waiting room and not a single nurse helped even after we asked for it. They said have a seat and we will be with you. While she couldn't breathe right and was having severe pains. Overall a horrible time. It takes 4 hours for a simple procedure which takes 1 hour at most on their least busiest days.

I explained my medical issues very thoroughly to the nurse which involved pain throughout my body and they decided to boil it down to a single joint. I guess they just decided the first joint they heard was the only one that mattered and then refused to do tests on anything else. Great service. Hope I don't die

UPDATE: Terribly long wait times. Have been waiting over four hours to be seen. I understand that they are understaffed and may have a lot of emergencies to attend, but over 4 hours? This is absurd.

Over six hours to see my back pain… to much , I’ll try to avoid came again, if you coming bring you lunch and be prepared for long long wait

I’m leaving one star for right now but once I’ve calmed down I will be updating this review. The care received in this place shouldn’t even be classified as that:

They give anyone a PHD now days. I wouldn’t recommend it. Rather do the drive to Lubbock.

Slowest ER I have ever seen. It would be faster to get your medical degree and treat your self then go there.
