Roaming In My RV

Beautiful BLM land so free camping. About 6 miles on a decent hard pack road from the highway. You pass thru some private property/ranches so be respectful of their land.
No amenities so pack it in and pack it OUT. Cell service comes and goes.
Stop to read the historical signs just as you pull off the highway. There's so much history there, if only the trees could talk.

One of my FAVORITE places I've been so far. FREE rv / motorhome / tent camping on what seems to have at one time been a very popular camping area. Full of history with many walking trails, beautiful views and plenty of space for my 32ft Motorhome. Such a natural and peaceful area to enjoy !

Great camp ground plenty of trails super clean bathrooms open year round there is coyotes out there so be careful for your pets and there is cows that roam around you can have a fire out there and plenty of places to set camp it does snow there during the winter time and also not to far from lincoln where billy the kid and the regulators hanged out there is a long dirt road to get to the camp ground but it is safe for rvs and trailers

Great camping spot! Down a forest Service Rd so if you don't mind going off the pavement you are going to be rewarded with an awesome experience

Nice place, plenty of room, new vault toilets, quiet, not close together. One problem that I could see is people do not take care of the land. There are lots of broken bottles all around the campground. I wish we were all better stewards of these lands that are given to us to use.

I love this place, but one major downside (which is not the campsites fault) is that it is 1000% surrounded by private property. There are loads of dirt roads and trails all over the captain mountains, but there is ZERO access from this camp. You have to drive all the way to the other side of the mountain range.

Great place to stay. Wake up and see the mountains.

The bathrooms were clean too.

We were the only people for 2 nights. Happy there were toilets and paper. Enjoyed campfire. Wish the trails were easy to locate.

Beautiful. Woke up to the sounds of elk in the distance, and the star gazing was top notch

Stayed 2 weeks and saw more wildlife than people (just the way I like it). Well maintained and has 2 pit toilets. I wouldn't go back if it had been raining due to dirt roads.

Very fond memories of Boy Scout campouts here in the late 60s, early 70s! Lots of wildlife and nothin else around.
