The staff was really great with my 1-year-old I bought her two pairs of earrings for her birthday they put them in for her that way I wouldn't have to struggle at home trying to do myself

My son and I drove from Prince Edward County to visit this Jewelry Store and we are so glad we did. The customer service was astounding. We received complete one on one time when ordering my sons class ring. They were very accommodating to us as home schoolers. We were given all the time we needed to decide on color,ect... We could not have chosen a better place. While my son was picking out his ring, I saw something that caught my eye and ended up buying a pendant because the price was unbeatable. This place is awesome. The owner is so knowledgeable and accommodating one must absolutely appreciate his expertise. This is NOT a chain or bargain shop. It's a real jewelry store. I always feel like I've stepped back in time when I visit. People actually talk and are helpful. I always leave with a smile and good feeling. I feel good about spending my money here. I drive an hour to get here and it's well worth the trip.

I WATCHED WAYNE AND CHRIS AND PEGGY WORK WITH 3 SMALL GIRLS GETTING THERE EARS PICRSED. WELL THE OLDER ONE DID OKAY BUT THE 2 SMALLER ONES FIRST OF ALL THEY WERE SCARED AND WHEN WAYNE AND CHRIS TRIED TO DO YOU COULD HEAR ALMOST ALL THE WAY TO DOWNTOWN. BUT PEGGY GOT INVOLVED AND THE 3 OF THEM GOT IT DONE. WHAT I'M SAYING IS NOT ONLY ARE THEY GREAT TO GROWN UPS BUT ALSO TO KIDS. THEY ARE THE ONLY JEWELERS I BUY FROM, I WAS DEALING WITH A JEWELER IN BLACKSTONE, VA AND I FOUND OUT ABOUT WILKES AND THAT IS WHERE I DEAL ONLY NOW.

What a great experience! The customer service was excellent and everyone was so engaging and friendly! I was beyond pleased with the high quality of the pieces I purchased and will certainly be returning. They were knowledgeable and helpful about a family piece I brought in for examining. I drove from Lynchburg and it was absolutely worth the trip!

Had a wonderful experience getting my daughter’s ears pierced here! The gentleman did a great job of talking her through the procedure so she felt comfortable, and celebrated her bravery with an adorable “super brave kid” certificate. It was inexpensive and felt very safe. What great memories!

Your always made to feel like an old friend when you go in Wilkes. Family owned business that has been around a long time, a easy to see why. Good variety of price point on pieces, many repairs ( not sure if all are) are done on site, at a work area right behind counter. If you've been in more than once, somebody probably knows you and greets you by name when you walk in. If your looking for something in particular they will find it, work within your budget, and make valid suggestions on options. You WON'T find pretense, pushy salespeople, anyone without a smile behind the counter, or to busy ( and they get REALLY busy sometimes!) to say" hey nice to see you, somebody will help you in just a minute"! When it is your turn to be helped, it could be just you, or 100 people waiting behind you, you can be purchasing a diamond solitaire or a watch battery - your treated with the same time, attention and service. Just genuinely nice, family owned & staffed store who are kind and always put their customers first and provide quality jewelry at a reasonable,fair price. That "thank you, please come back" is something they MEAN, not just a rehearsed catch phrase you MIGHT hear if you shop chain stores! Customer service is a dying art. Giving your $ to the lowest bidder is commonplace, and done from the sofa. Leaving your customer feeling valued, respected,appreciated and special is FAR from commonplace, and what is always felt when I leave Wilkes...(even when I've just been window shopping and eyeing a "new pretty "!

I love the wonderful family that owns Wilkes Jewelers in Appomattox. They bend over backwards to serve your every need. For years I have bought jewelry and also had my jewelry repaired by Chris and his parents. They have always pleased me and made me happy! My fiancee and I recently purchased beautiful wedding rings from Wilkes! Wilkes always goes over the top in service and great prices too!

I can't say enough about Wilke's. Wayne was a pleasure to talk to, he is very knowledgeable and thorough. Customer satisfaction is top priority here, they go out of their way to help you. I will be a repeat customer for a long time to come!

Always courteous and willing the help you. I was told by 7 hills coin and jewelery that my watch could not be fixed. I went to Wilkes and it was fixed pretty quick. The other place had messed it up when they took the back off. Will never go to them again. Wilkes is a great lil shop.
