Pino's Pizza & Italian Restaurant

This place is an unexpected gem! The cheese steak sub was terrific! The onion rings were delightful!

Several members in my family are longtime pizza cooks, ranging from 5 years to 12 years in the business. We simply ordered a large pepperoni pizza, and all agreed this was some of the best pizza we've ever had. It's on the greasy side, but in the best way. The sauce and cheese were absolutely phenomenal. We came back again the next night, and it was just as good.

Unfortunately, we were only in the area for a family trip, so now I'm 6 hours away. But you better believe I'm thinking about this pizza nonstop. My mouth is watering as I'm writing this review. Anytime I'm in the area in the future, I will have to stop in.

Great experience, always wanted to commune with nature in a more meaningful way. When me and my wife got our pizza we thanked the waitress but did not tip. As it turns out she was a big green witch who said that "if i wanted to be more in touch with nature than shed help out as best she could." When I next turned around she had done the impossible and my wife was transformed into a Squirrel! What an incredible experience, I did have to say goodbye to my marsupial wife after we got home but she looks so much happier now.

Okay so let me tell you this. I’ve worked in pizza for almost 10 years, and obviously I have been eating it even longer than that. Ever since I was a kid, I always said the best pizza I’ve ever had was at a place called Gino’s in Woodlake off Hull Street road. And I’ve never been able to find somewhere to match it. Not even straight from New York. Then a few months ago, my family had a get together for a week near Appomattox, and we decided on pizza. We picked up Pino’s, and it became the new “best pizza I’ve ever had.” The only “complaint” I have is that it was lightly on the greasy side, but my brother, sister, aunt, and my mom (probably the hardest person I know to impress) all said it was the best pizza they’ve ever had. It was so good that the next night, there was absolutely no hesitation as to where we’re going to eat. We had to go back to Pino’s. It was kind of bitter sweet because it was like hitting the jackpot the first time you ever gamble, because we had a couple other pizza places while we were there, and they couldn’t even compare. It was honestly amazing, from the dough, to the sauce, to the cheese, everything was as perfect as it could be. In fact, the ONLY reason I gave this 5 stars, was because 6 stars wasn’t an option. It’s not hard to make a decent pizza. But it’s really hard to make the best pizza, and Pino’s has done just that. Do not change a thing! I promise if I’m ever even within a 50 mile radius of Pino’s I will go out of my way to pick up pizza. It was so good, I almost changed religions. Thank you Pino’s because that pizza was life changing. This was not some mere pizza with just dough, sauce, and cheese. This was God. Speaking to us through food.

I absolutely love this place. I visit about once a week. The food is phenomenal and the service is outstanding. They have an amazing selection of different adult beverages. They even keep some local brews on tap. So easy to talk to if you have a suggestion or would like something a certain way. Food is cooked hot not heated up in a microwave. Your money goes far and you leave satisfied. Also you get a salad with every entree, what more could you want.

Pizza is well balanced...excellent crust and sauce and the toppings are fresh. It's always piping hot when we come in to pick it up!

Pizza was delicious, only problem I had was the Dr Pepper didn't really have a taste to it.

A lot bigger inside than you would imagine from the entry. Plenty of seating and a great Italian atmosphere. Friendly staff. Our server Amber was wonderful and took time to go over the menu with us. The menu is huge and the choices are endless. Our entrees were very large portions and steaming hot. Will definitely be coming back to try more dishes.

Great quality food, especially pizza. The weekends are usually very busy. Be prepared to wait but worth the wait. Highly recommended for pizza and pasta lovers!

Just enjoyed family time here at Pino's and holy cannoli!!! **Shoot now I wonder if they had cannolis.... DELICIOUS meal and very friendly service. Quite an unsuspecting surprise. Prices vary and serving sizes were spot on... You can go expensive and fancy or enjoy family dining. We all ate off the sub menu and the bread was super soft but did not fall apart... Gyros - probably a top favorite! Man now I seriously wish I checked their dessert menu... Wouldn't have room but would have tried to find some... 😋😋😋

Had the lasagna, awesome staff and wow the food. Wife brought home chicken cacciatore about a week ago and that was delicious as well. Love the food. We will definitely be going back. Makes my mouth watering thinking about it. Lol

A shining gem in Appomattox! From the pizza to the Italian dishes to the salads, everything is excellent. The only complaint is there's always too much, lol. Seriously, you get more than your money's worth. And the staff is awesome, too!

First visit. Pleasantly surprised! Good food. Good service. Comfortable and cozy atmosphere with clean bathrooms. We will definitely become regulars.

The Stromboli was awesome and the marinara sauce reminded me of the sauce my Italian friends made. My girlfriend had the gyro and she loved it.

Our waitress Danielle was great. Ordered a 2 manicotti's, spaghetti, small pizza, stromboli & 4 slices of cheesecake with strawberry topping. Food was great. Was able to share with little ones and have leftovers for work the next day.

A long time favorite place for me to eat. Lunch buffet is excellent and if April is your server tio her well. She will keep you well taken care of.
