Papa Buck's BBQ

I recently had the pleasure of working with Papa Buck's BBQ for a South African-style BBQ for clients, and I must say they went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. From the initial booking, to learning to make a South African cake, to the final clean-up, the team was extremely accommodating, professional, and friendly. They even allowed us to have specialty sausages and seasons drop shipped from a South African butcher to their restaurant for that authentic flavor.

The team at Papa Buck's BBQ, led by Jeremiah, Seth, and Ney-Ney, not only provided delicious food that surpassed our expectations but also took care of all the details, including set-up and presentation. Their attentive staff ensured everyone had what they needed, making the dining experience truly exceptional.

Overall, I was thoroughly impressed with Papa Buck's level of service and attention to detail. They truly went out of their way to cater to our needs and make this client event a success. I highly recommend this restaurant for any catering or dining needs and will definitely be using their services again in the future.

As a truck driver it’s hard to find some good BBQ. This place was right next to the truck stop so I had to try it. They gave a good amount of food for a very reasonable price. I ordered the 2 meat combo and everything was so good. I will definitely come back.

Our waitress was nice ! Bbq was good. They only smoke turkey on Thursday so if you want it hot make sure to go then. The sweet potato tots were good , the sweet bbq was good. The guys really liked the ribs and fatty brisket. Our bread came untoasted when it was suppose to be texas toast. The corn was on the cob and fried, super greasy. The Brunswick stew was kinda bland and soo many tomatoes

The brisket is, hands down, the best I've ever tasted. The prices are very reasonable and the staff is pleasant. Love this place!

The food used to be amazing. We used to regularly make a 2.5 hour trip to get their brisket. It is absolutely garbage now. The brisket was so dry I think cardboard would have had more moisture. I don’t know what has changed but it has seriously gone way down hill and I hate that because I have told so many people over the years how amazing it was but I definitely won’t be coming back. The service was almost as bad as the brisket but not quite as bad. They have a bunch of teenagers that just don’t care at all. We got drinks once and had to go back up front ourselves with our glasses to ask for refills. They never came to check on us once after they brought us that bone dry brisket. I guess they knew it was that bad they didn’t want to show their faces again.

The portion sizes are ample. All the meat was smoky, moist, and tender. The sweet potato puff are one of my faves, they're good hot or cool. The sides are seasoned sufficiently enough without having to add additional seasonings. The Scooby Snack is french fries topped with pull pork, cheese, and BBQ sauce (sour cream, bacon bits, and jalapenos optional) is definitely a big hit with my crew. They have 2 sauce options. I prefer the sweet and smoky. The staff is ALWAYS nice, and the food is very prompt.

We can't say enough about the food and service here ! Definitely try the Brisket Quesadilla & Pulled Pork Sandwich. Their sweet tea is also delicious ! A hidden gem in Metter for sure right off Interstate 16!

I got the chicken bacon ranch or whatnot quesadilla, others got pulled pork plate, brisket plate, salad with chicken and cheese burger. All yummy.

Stopped in when traveling to Savannah… 1st time… awesome food, atmosphere and overall experience. We will be back if we ever pass back through! Highly recommend!

Really good Georgia BBQ. I had the pulled pork plate with Brunswick stew. The pulled pork was tender and moist. The stew was very flavorful. Definitely would eat here again if in the area.

Great BBQ - the burn ends were perfect, the brisket so soft it was melting in my mouth, and the baked beans were good and sweet and really complimented the savoury meat. Service was fast and friendly. Will definitely recommend and be back again!

Now.. if ya don't stop here well I'm very sorry for the loss! Some of the best smoked pork, turkey and ribs I've had. Also enjoyed white and hot BBQ sauce! The potato salad is German style, fried corn and green beans! And as always unsweetened tea to break the rules of the south....

Awesome food love it. Also when you go here please purchase their bbq sauce it's so delicious. Some of the most friendly people ever. There's a truck stop next door so park your truck go over and grab some bbq.

Wow! Excellent food, great service, great experience! I ordered the 3 meat with brisket, pulled pork, and ribs and all were divine. My girlfriend got the chopper chicken sandwich which she said was a little dry, but enjoyed. Best fried okra and potato salad I've ever had. I live about 30 minutes away, and this has become my new go to spot!

Very, very GOOD. EVERYTHING I have ever eaten @ this place was BANGING!!! Pork sandwiches, ribs, cakes, etc. I don't know why it's not mentioned when discussing some of the BEST BBQ IN GA. The original sauce is PERFECTION!!! Vinegar, pepper and spice deliciously blended. The ribs..... AMAZING. Smoke taste, tender, juicy. Sauce NOT NEEDED!!!! SAUCE ADDS THO!!!!

Excellent! Great pulled pork, brunswick stew and sweet potato soufflé. Husband loved the pulled pork quesadilla. Perfection!

This place was amazing and was able to quickly and cheerfully serve our baseball team after a big game!
