Had a new turbo installed by a different shop that failed before I got it home. Took it to Mountain Power they installed a new Garrett Turbo got me back on the road . Alexis wrote up a very thorough diagnostic description on the failed turbo which enabled me to get a refund on the failed turbo plus the original install cost. Highly recommend Mountain Power Performance!!!

After two shops and one of which was just tossing parts at it (on 3rd turbo within 6 months) I reached out to Alexis and he never batted an eye to correctly diagnose the issues at hand and get my truck straightened out. My only regret is not bringing it to him sooner. Professional,prompt,knowledgeable,honest…..I could go on and on. If you guys or gals need any diesel assistance Alexis is your guy!

Me and my wife were traveling through the Candler area on vacation when our 2005 6.0 decided to have the dreaded hot no start (luckily was just a bad IPR sensor). The guys over at Mountain Power Performance were very quick to respond to my messages. They got my truck in to get it fixed and back on the road after only one day of it being down. I will definitely recommend these guys to all my 6.0 friends that travel in and around the Asheville area if they need work or repairs done to their trucks!

Glad to finally find a shop that is honest and trustworthy. I took my
F250 6.7 Powerstroke in for what one shop said needed a new engine. Took it to Mountain Power and after about 30 minutes of testing, they came to the conclusion that I just needed a new injector. They walked me through the entire process of what they did to diagnose with paperwork to prove the tests that they did.

They had me fixed up in one day. They will be working on all of my trucks from here on it. 10/10 would recommend getting your diesel worked on here.

i wanted to write and say a huge 'thank you' to Alexis and this shop for their work on my 2007 F250 6.0. I had blown the turbo boots off while towing through Asheville and the surrounding mountains several times. We were in town visiting family and only after Alexis suggested a new solution with a bracket to the alternator did this keep the boots from blowing off repeatedly under boost. With this in place and new boots, we finally made it all the way back to Texas with no other issues. This is a quality shop with integrity that knows diesels, not only would I not hesitate to recommend them but will take my truck here for future work when I return to the area as well.

I seldom write reviews but I am absolutely compelled in this situation . . . While driving through western North Carolina our work vehicle (Ford F-550) broke down. After evaluating the vehicle at a local Ford Dealership it was determined the engine had to be replaced. MPP provided an estimate and navigated the complicated procurement process dictated by my employer. Heather and Alexis were outstanding to work with in their own right. Heather in the front of the house procuring the parts and keeping everything on schedule and within budget. Alexis providing the expert advice and getting the actual work done with a high degree of professionalism and pride in quality workmanship. Cannot thank MPP enough for the way they handled our 6.7 liter Diesel engine replacement. Job well done.

We were traveling from Florida through the Asheville area with our Ram3500 DRW and a Truck Camper when our DEF system malfunctioned and started the 150 mile countdown to 'limp mode'.

We called several Diesel repair shops in the area but Mountain Power Performance was the only one that said they would try to work us in. We arrived at their shop around 4:00pm and Alexis immediately took the truck back and did some troubleshooting while we waited. He identified the problem and told us he should be able to get the part and repair done by the next day. Sure enough, we got a call 3:30 the next day and the problem was solved!

I cannot recommend this business strongly enough. Their customer service was fantastic and they went above and beyond getting us back on the road in record time. If you're in the area and need diesel service, call these guys!

Never have one problem with these guy's.
Whether it's upgrades, or standard maintenance, they get my truck in and out quick.
The work is always top notch and I'm never disappointed.

This is a great shop to work with! Honest and fair! They got my 06 6.0 F350 back on the road with a fresh reman built in house with several upgrades, and a new fuel tank. Alexis was great at explaining the failures with my previous engine and upgrades in the new. I generally do my own work, but a complete rebuild was beyond my skills, and Alexis definitely knows diesel engines! Tyler was great at keeping me updated and helping with recommending upgrades. The other staff members were great as well. I recommend them for your diesel needs!

My husband and I were extremely impressed with the character of MPP.

A great vacation ended with us breaking down in the middle of the night with our two kids & camper.

Not only did Alexis offer advice over the phone several times, he ended up working us in to get us back on the road. Stayed 5+ hours after close on a Saturday to keep us from having to wait until Monday.

He also could’ve charged us double what he did and for that we are incredibly thankful.

Integrity goes a long way & I firmly believe you will reap what you sowed for us. May it come back to you 100 fold.

Three family members were stranded in Asheville NC for 1 week. They had left the vehicle at the dealership there and they promised to get it fixed and back on the road. They went back down there to pick up the vehicle after 3 days. After paying the mechanic who told them yes the vehicle will make it to your home. Well it only made it a short distance. The family found this company Mountain Power Performance. They were knowledgeable and were able to get the vehicle back on the road in 2 more days and in 4 days they were back home. I am so glad there are some honest mechanics like these. I recommend them.

Absolutely fantastic service and really helpful, my transmission went out on my truck and the fine folk at mountain power and Performace pulled all sorts of strings to get all the parts in a very timely fashion. Heather communicated the whole time while the transmission was getting built.

The transmission was replaced with a revmax out of Charlotte and Heather on Wednesday morning had the old transmission in back of her truck drove it to Charlotte dropped the old one off and picked up the new built one and I was drive the truck again on Friday.

Broke down pulling a 5th wheel camper on vacation. After truck spent 4 days and 2 parts replaced that didn't correct the problem at a different place, I got the truck to these guys and they had it properly diagnosed and repaired in the SAME day!! Tyler was great and stayed in constant communication with me knowing we were traveling and needed prompt service! Outstanding service and would highly recommend!

I have been bringing my diesel trucks to MPP for about three years. From simple services to complete frame off custom builds I have experienced every level of service from Alexis and his team.
Their level of expertise, honesty, and effort have been a welcome experience. When someone counts on their rigs to dependibly generatei revenue this is the kind of shop that'll keep them running optimally.
If you're looking for a shade tree, cheap corner cutting shop, go somewhere else. If you can barely afford to keep your truck on the road or pay the payment, then this is not the shop for you. But if you treat your diesel truck like an investment and you want to get the best value for the money you spend, then MPP is worth the drive.
I bring my trucks from all over the place back to MPP in Candler, NC. In spite of the couple negative reviews which I am sure came from people who did not communicate effectively with the shop and didn't get their way, I can tell you I've spent a substantial amount of money at the shop and do not regret one bit of it. I would highly recommend giving these guys a look if you're in the market for quality diesel truck maintenance and expertise.
