As we often do, my fella & I were out exploring & we decided to visit Brownsville, TN. We stopped at the Mindfield Sculpture & Museum first & what a treat it was! I was expecting a quick stop & see but Mr. Anthony was so sweet & friendly. He took the time to give us a complete tour, explaining the origin & history of the museum (which he constructed completely by himself!) & the metal structure known as the Mindfield. We thoroughly enjoyed our time spent there & look forward to returning with our son.❤

We were having car issues while returning from Route 66 and the GM dealership dropped us off at this motel that had the metal sculptures looming over top of it. What a pleasant surprise! Billy Tripp was actually there working on one of his projects . He is a very knowledgeable, humble, and friendly individual. I am a retired boilermaker and I know how much work went into assembling these full-size sculptures. It is unbelievable that Billy did this all by himself. My only regret is that I could not spend a few more days discovering every nuance of this creation!

Billy Tripp, the artist, is a local treasure. He is kind, funny, inspiring, and ALWAYS adding to the display. He has given Brownsville the gift of extrinsitity that is missing in so many other towns that have swallowed the conformity koolaid. He has taken a tiny forgotten strip of gully land and transformed it into something of value, and it doesn't cost a thing to slow down or stop to admire it. He has quietly captured the fire that many artists have spent their lives trying in vain to grasp. Don't miss an opportunity to gaze up and admire his fascinating work, and to step outside of your own "mindfield."

In the summer of 1996, I lived in the motel right next to it. I could watch through my bathroom window, Billy Tripp in action, assembling his Masterpiece. I was working at a car dealership in town. I got to talk to Billy face-to-face. I would very much like to go back and visit. Maybe even stay a night in the same motel.

It is a must see attraction. Mr Anthony's museum and barber shop is so amazingly entertaining. You can not see everything this museum has to offer. Every time you decide to go on adventures please be safe and children stay with your parent no touching of interfac

I come here once a year for a drone meet-up. It's an amazing sight! The sculptor is Billy Tripp, and he is a very nice, humble man. He's constantly adding to it. Highly recommend checking this place out!

The First Museum/Barbershop I’ve seen, I was waiting on my turn to have my haircut but then I got to view this museum and it was such a wonderful experience for me and my wife. We’ll definitely visit again next week and yes he’s one of the best barbershop here in Brownsville, TN.

We walked around and took photos but the shop wasn't open. I have no idea how the guided tour is...but just walking around is a treat. From the distance it looks like a giant mess but the details are so unpredictable and artistic. It is like nothing else I have seen in the world.
