If you're looking for the hottest new book release you probably won't find it here, but that doesn't mean this little store is lacking in selection. Little honestly isn't the appropriate word. It could take one a good hour or two exploring every twist and turn that brings you to another row of books before even setting a good eye on the titles.

Places like these are a dream for the book lover; every row has it's own history and you can get lost in wondering about where each and every book came from. If you look hard enough, this store is sprinkled in nuggets of rare finds!

I had gone in after curiosity got the best of me and wandered the isles before finding the animal section with hopes to potentially find an old book about dog breeds. I found many of those, but not what I wanted in the moment, when my eyes landed on this book.

As a German Shepherd lover, I knew I couldn't leave without it. I suspect it was part of someone's prized collection at one point. For a book printed in 1982 it's in mint condition, the spine hasn't been cracked! An incredibly rare book originally written by the breed founder. The owner even lowered the price for me by a few dollars when she realized it wasn't printed in 1925, though I was happy to pay the $12.

I plan to visit again soon, who knows what I'll find next time!

(The two cats are also darling!)

A great find for bibliophiles and eccentrics. This place has a bit of everything trade paperbacks to great hardbacks. Out of print, hard to find, second hand, romance, magazines, comics, fiction, nonfiction, they have it all and are constantly getting more. If you like the thrill of the hunt and books this place is a must.

The owner is the sweetest lady you'll ever meet. The books are arranged by genres which I appreciated and it's very overwhelming the number of books 📚 in this store. Also, if you are allergic to cats, take your allergy medication because there are 2 beautiful cats indoors.

She probably has whatever story you didn't know you need :). The amount of hidden gems in this place is fascinating. This is the only store I will go to for my books and It's the first place I bring up when asked what stands out against this town. The amount first edition Sci-fi stories from as far back as (as I have found so far), 1957. The lost knowledge and treasures in the store bring me back even if don't have 25¢ for a bag of surprise books.
They are very helpful folks everytime I come in. Even the cats greet you calmly without needing to get up.💛.

I took my wife, who was skeptical, hunting for children's books for my son. The bookstore had a decent selection, and my wife left happy that we snagged some new books for our 2 year old at a steal of a price. I couldn't stand leaving without making my own purchase, and found a few books for myself. I have loved this place since I was a teenager. I'm so glad we have this store in our town.

This bookstore has a motherlode of books in all genres. It's rather like 'Diagon Alley,' and is the best bookstore, in my opinion, that isn't as far away as Houston from
Jefferson County. There are shelves upon shelves filling the whole gigantic store, and a wide selection of both old, new, rare, and common books at fair prices. It's worth it to me to drive a while to get there, and it is not picked over like several better known bookstore. I would recommend this bookstore to anyone looking for a good book to read or anyone searching for a book that is out of print or was published a long time ago. They have no phone number, but don't let that stop you from coming. The building is painted pink on the outside. Again, I highly recommend this bookstore! It is fantastic!

This book store has so many books, that if it were not for the lady that owned it to take you to the genre or author of your choice, it would take you weeks to find it. She is such an extensive reader and very knowledgable of the authors. At least she is of the genre I am interested in. We talked about other books I had read, which had nothing to do with my interest today... she knew quite a bit about that author and his writings as well. The books are used. You buy them and then return them after reading, you get a credit for half the price toward your next purchase. I bought a book for $4, sold her my book for $2. Believe me, you will be hard pressed to not find something in the category of your interest.

Filled to the ceiling with books of all genres. Prices usually range from 1.50-5.00 and be sure to bring cash as no cards are accepted and beware there are two beautiful cats roaming through the aisles.

She had most everything you could want in there as far as books are concerned. All different types of authors and alot of their books.
I would go there again and she buys back your books as well.
