Mary's Cafe

Been eating here for years. Always friendly service, staff treat you like family. The food is great, and gives you the sense that you are eating a home cooked meal. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the food is always great and the service is always friendly. If I could change anything at all, I'd change their hours. They open at 7am, but I get home from work around 5:30am. I wish they opened at 6am so I could go here for breakfast more often. Usually, by 7am I am already settled in and ready for bed. Definitely highly recommend this place!

I just found it and it has absolutely delicious food/drinks and the waitress is so kind and polite to us and our child!
Food was fast, warm and the chicken was so juicy inside and crispy outside!

I drive 55 miles one way just to eat. Yes, the food is that good.
Cat fish, pork chops, chicken fried stak, and so much more.
I might add it all made with love.
The prices are unbelievably low.
My wife and I could eat there, all the time.

Oh my goodness, Mary! Girl…you got some yumminess goin on in Colorado City! That other Mary’s over in Strawn got nothin on your CFS!!! And puttin the gravy on the bottom…ingenious! No more soggy chicken fry! The steaks (yep, we both got ‘em, mine was small, His was large) were cooked To purrrfection! Hubby’s fried okra was tender yet crispy crunchy and flavorful! Smashed taters were creamy deliciousness, as was the loaded baked tator I had. Green beans were just like the ones grandma made, and I do believe I detected some bacon grease, which makes em even better! Both meals came with the most delicious, homemade yeast rolls and a nice salad with Mary’s housemade ranch dressing. Our server, Miss Cat, was the epitome of southern charm and hospitality. She even made us roadie drinks to go! I’mma nominate Mary’s cafe in Colorado City for best CFS! Lemme know what you think after you visit. And if you don’t visit, well that’s On you! 😉

When you pull up to park, you may say to yourself ‘really’, but go on in. For is good, servings are generous, price is reasonable and service is great

Amazing food. The chicken fried steak is amazing. Probably the best I've had in 20 years of travel eating all over the world! It's that good. My wife had grilled chicken and mushrooms. She said it was delicious.

Amazing place to eat. The food was fresh. We had the steak fingers and corn. Flavor was great. We also had the chicken swiss mushroom. The chicken was moist and not dry. Don't let the outside of the building fool you. The pies were also good. I highly recommend this place.

I love the food my favorite is the chicken fried chicken and the sweet tea is great i highly recommend this place if your visiting the area or coming from far for an awesome lunch.
