As someone who hasn't had the most positive experiences at the dentist in the past, I have been happy to finally land at a dental practice that cares about my sensitivity. My dental hygienist Blakely was awesome - extremely gentle and took her time cleaning my teeth. I was told that a numbing agent could be used if I started to experience pain but I didn't even need it! Everyone I have communicated with from the receptionists to dental hygienists to Dr. Balan has been excellent!

Discovery Park Dental has curated a gentle & kind care facility. I admire that the practice is 100% women operated. Scheduling an appointment is easy, and should there be any adjustments needed, the front desk is communicative via text. Blakey, the hygienist, is sweet, kind, and diligent in her work. She is careful to check in with you to make sure you are comfortable. Dr. Balan is a delight! She is very personable and knowledgeable. For instance, I had experienced some sensitivity on a tooth near my gums. Her recommendations solved the problem.

I love this dentist's office. This is the first office I have been to where the doctor listens and addresses my concerns. If I'm feeling uncomfortable or anxious, Dr.Balan is always reassuring and makes me feel comfortable before moving on. The staff is also super friendly. I always enjoy coming in and speaking with Yossie at the front desk. I highly recommend coming here for any dental work.

Dr. Balan and the staff are excellent. I have been going there for past 4 years. The cleaning and dental work is thorough. Dr. Balan is very systematic in recommending treatment in priority order. Also, she is good at not performing any unnecessary treatment. I have been very happy overall to have found this dental office and highly recommend.

We absolutely love Dr Balan and her staff! Our 3 boys (15, 10 and 9) have been seeing her for over a year now. She's always very thorough, and her staff is great at communicating. Our eldest had braces, and his gums were constantly inflamed. Dr. Balan took great care and provided excellent tips and recommendations directly to him. Our youngest had his first filling recently which went so smoothly. Today, he will be having a stubborn baby tooth extracted in order to allow the permanent one room, and I'm so grateful that I have full confidence in how it will go. Discovery park dental is a great dentist office. The reception staff are kind, flexible, and communicate well with patients. The hygienists and doctor care about oral health, they are great at educating and explaining what’s going on in your mouth whether good or bad. The overall work environment is friendly and welcoming.

I have been a patient at Discovery Park Dental for over 10 years. After having several negative experiences with previous dental practices, I was pleasantly surprised by the careful first visit interview and appreciated being listened to. That respectful treatment has continued through the years I have been Dr. Balan's patient.

I've been going to Discovery Park Dental for over 8 years. Cleanings are pain free. If you let them know about any issues you have with the process (ex. x-ray mouth thing makes you gag), they try their best to work with you to get over those issues. They don't push anything unnecessary and encourage you to do what's best for you. Great place, strongly recommend.

Great Dentist. I'm afraid of dentist, always have been but the staff here are amazing and the dentist has one of the gentlest touches of any I've been to. Wonderful Dentist.

I feel as if everyone has said it already - they're amazing. I came here mostly because they were conveniently located to where I work, but now I'll keep going because of how great Dr. Balan and her staff treated me today. In regards to suggesting treatments you don't need I didn't experience any of that. I had a very thorough exam and cleaning, in which some issues were found that all my previous dentists have missed. I was then given a treatment plan along with a quote and told that I could make an appointment any time I like, and there was no rush. Great experience all around!

Dr. Balen was extremely gracious and gentle. She cleaned my teeth herself since I was so nervous about a sensitive molar. I was very pleased with the amount of time she spent in just talking with me and putting me at ease. I would recommend her to anyone who experiences anxiety when seeing a dentist:)

Dr. Balan and her team are great. They know what they are doing and they make sure you always get what you need. I've been going to Dr. Balan for years and I've never had any problems with their service and how they go about getting you what you need. Not too long ago I had a negative experience, but I was very pleased and grateful that Dr. Balan took the time to call, fix it and be sincere and caring about my experience. My husband and I have been going to Discovery Dental since 2015, as long as my dental care continues to be good and the office remains safe, especially during COVID, we will continue to go.

I always have a good cleaning, efficient and friendly. I never hear a complaint but I do hear clear suggestions on what I can work on. The machines could be a little newer, but that doesn't hurt the experience.

This review is for people like me who sometimes don't make the right adult decisions in life such as waiting 10+ years to go to the dentist even though you have good insurance. After many years of my wife being in my ear about going here, I finally scheduled a visit.

The staff is very friendly and I did way more shaming of myself than they did about my poor dental care choices. Dr. Balan did a thorough cleaning followed by showing me the x-rays and pictures of my teeth. She pointed out the areas she was concerned about, and was able to schedule me the following morning to start the repair work. When I arrived the next morning, she had a complete treatment plan ready, explained how we'd break it up into multiple visits, and we began.

In total, I had to go in four times, including the initial assessment and cleaning. Despite her very busy schedule, she fit me in and all the work was completed within ten days. I will say in no uncertain terms that she is an amazing professional at what she does. I am kicking myself for waiting so long.

If this situation sounds familiar, do yourself a favor and schedule a visit to see Dr. Balan - you will not regret it.

I rarely write reviews, but I saw a negative one I felt needed to be rebutted. Yes, the initial visit was lengthy and thorough. I liked my prior dentist but had to change when I got new insurance. Dr. Balan and her staff identified many conditions my prior dentist had overlooked. The catch-up of reworking my mouth cost several thousand dollars. But it was worthy every penny. I'm still in an intensive cleaning mode ... but I hate to contemplate where I would be if I hadn't found Dr. Balan when I did. Most reviews mention her compassion ... and they're right; but on top of that, she's just a good dentist. She also chooses her staff carefully and they're all good, too. That's important, because you'll spend more time with the rest of the staff than with the dentist.

Excellent first visit at Discovery Park Dental. The staff were very personable. Dr. Balan did a thorough job examining and cleaning my teeth. It was honestly the best cleaning of my life. I highly recommend this office.

Dr. Nitya Balan and her staff are amazing. Today I had my fillings done. Dr. Balan did a pretty amazing job with fine attention to detail and made sure that it was not painful. I work with Marry usually and she is quite thorough in her job and makes you feel at home. I recommend Discovery Park Dental to anyone looking for good dental care.

I've always had a positive experience with Dr. Balan. She's never made me feel pressured about my treatment plan however complicated it could be. The office atmosphere is serene and it helps calm your nerves especially while being operated on. I would definitely recommend Dr. Balan and her staff to friends, family and co-workers.
