My experience with Escambia Academy has been nothing but excellent. My children have attended EA for many years. The academics are superb & the extracurricular activities are fabulous. The parental involvement is far beyond average--very, very close to 100%. The teachers really care about the children & the kids care about each other. My daughter has experienced great success in furthering her education at Auburn University. Her success can be directly credited to the education she received at Escambia Academy.

My experience with Escambia Academy has been a very positive one. My son has been there since the ninth grade and he will be a senior this fall. I feel that he is getting an outstanding education and he is involved in several different sports at the school. All of the parents of our students participate in school activities and the teachers are highly involved with their students to make sure that they are reaching their full potential.

Our kids have been at Escambia Academy for the past 3 years and have a wonderful experience and are getting a great education. Before everyone goes attacking the school you need to know the circumstances. This student knew the consequences before she took her actions because it was stated in the contract that was given to each graduating senior before graduation. If she chose not to abide by rules then she should have suffered the consequences. This was her choice and now she is complaining, Go figure.

How interesting that my review has been deleted , I will say yet again I have been supporting Escambia Academy about 27 years and I also had a exchange student that attended EA . So I do have a direct link to the school . This school is like a family the parents are very involved with the school and help out doing most everything including taking care of each others children , so I felt very comfortable when my child was at an event that I could not attend that he was safe and well taken care of . The faculty works very hard to make sure the level of education at EA is excellent so that when the students graduate and go to college they are prepared for what ever come's at them . I have never seen a school where everything is perfect , but for EA I think they work hard making it darn close . I love the fact that EA is a multi cultural school , there have been students from German , African American , Spanish , Mexican , Chinese , American Indian and India and I am sure other nationalities that I have missed and with this being said everyone including faculty , students , parents and friends all benefited from knowing these children and getting to know their cultures .

Best school my boys have ever attended. Very diverse student body that really love each other as brothers and sisters. Teachers and faculty are awesome, our SAT scores beat everyone in the area. Last years graduates garnered an average of $55,000 in scholarship monies. Would not want to go anywhere else.

I graduated from Escambia Academy and attended school there from middle school through high school. I now volunteer in coaching cheerleading, and love every second of it. The kids are great kids, and the parents are so involved, and willing to help with everything. When I have children there is no question where they will be attending school. I think for people who do not have any direct knowledge of what has been going on at the school, other than what the media has publicized, to make unfair assumptions, and untrue accusations about EA is only an example of their ignorance. That school is a family and cares about each and every child that is enrolled there. I have and always will be a Cougar!

Your website claims to have a "Solid Foundation". What exactly do you build that foundation on? The crushing of other's religions/beliefs/thoughts/hopes/dreams when they conflict with your own. This school speaks loudly of intolerance, bigotry, and discrimination all under the hypocrisy of religion (Christian). You have a student who worked hard to receive her diploma and because you do not believe in her heritage and rights of expression, you have chosen to punish and fine a person who very well may become the next leader of our great nation. Did you, the school staff, or any students wear a cross, Star of David, Lotus Flower, Ankh, Celtic Knot or any one of the many religious/heritage symbols? Did you or they ask permission prior to wearing them? Probably not, this young woman, followed your request and asked permission out of respect to a school she probably once loved. Shame on you for allowing such a revolting sign of disrespect, intolerance, and ignorance occur within your educational walls. Also, because your website was so welcoming it has now been shared around the world on Facebook. As an educator, I hope that this lesson will be well received at your next school board meeting and that you will be seeking employment elsewhere in the next upcoming academic school year.

From my experience, the academy's leadership is a joke. A girl wears a feather -traditional in her culture- and you idiots punish her for it. You're extorting $1,000 in "fines" because of a feather. God Help your students if this is the type of prickish mindset prevailing among the faculty and administration at your "academy". I'm all for discipline, but you've crossed the line into bullying and hostility. Not to say you're anal about the situation, but I can only conclude that you morons must have been toilet trained by a rabid drill instructor. How about if you focus on teaching the students rather than stifling any sense of individualism which they might be in the process of developing?

If you want to attend a christian based school that does not follow an ethical path then i suggest looking elsewhere. Why would this school withhold a native american students diploma and fine her 1000 for wearing a feather in her cap to celebrate her heritage. I doubt this is looked upon as "godly" or "compassionate to fellow humans".

horrible school. they fined one graduate for wearing an eagle feather with her graduation gown all because she was Native American. Escambia Academy is a very racists school, never go there!!!!

Just adding my disgust for your school's treatment of its students. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

"Poor-Fair" is not an appropriate rating. Atrocious is more descriptive.
