Thunder Lake Lodge

We just completed our 15th annual family vacation over the 4th. This beautiful, family-friendly home away from home is where my kids grew up for a week each summer and a consider a staple of their childhood. Clean beaches, well-maintained grounds, clean comfortable cabins, and endless options for included recreation activities provides something for everyone from our lounging vacationers and adventurous souls alike. Some of our best memories are at Thunder Lake Lodge with many many more in the years to come! Cheers to our favorite vacation spot and the welcoming family who runs it!

We enjoyed a quick stay at Thunder Lake Lodge. This resort has lots of acreage so you’ll never feel crowded. The swimming beach is a hard sand bottom and the water is clear and beautiful. There are lots of gathering spots to enjoy the outdoors both by the lake and by the cabins. We had excellent walleye fishing during our stay. We stayed in a two bedroom unit in the reunion cabin and spent most of our time on the covered deck. Our bed was comfortable. I would recommend this resort and this lake to anyone looking for a Minnesota resort vacation!

Great place to stay and enjoy Minnesota lakes for your family! We had a blast and spent so much time on the beach and on the raft. The canoes and fishing were also a big hit with the kids. The cabins are comfortable and just the right size. We will be back!

Craig and Jamie are the most personable hosts you could ask for! Fishing is amazing whenever we go! The cabins or condos are rustic and we'll kept! Have been going here for 12 years and it's never a bad experience!

We stayed at Thunder Lake for the first time in the brand new cabin that was built this winter. Very roomy very comfortable and great way to spend a week in Minnesota fishing. The owners were so nice and have made the experience well worth the trip. Bass and Pan fish all over hit or miss on walleyes and Pike. But fun all around.

Love going here every year for our family reunion. Lots of activities and love the beach and playground right outside the cabin! Rented the boat this year and went to the "sandbar" which was amazing. Highly recommend!

Great up north resort. Very nice accommodations. Wonderful sandy swim beach. Very family friendly. Paddle boards, kayaks, and more free to use. Craig and Jamie, owners, very friendly, professional and accomodating.

Somehow I mistakenly gave this a one star when in fact, it is a 5 star! Craig and Jamie are very hospitable hosts! This resort is a great place for family fun! Plenty of activities for the kids to do and Thunder lake is a fun lake to fish!

We love our time at tll. The cabins are great and our son loves the playground and beach. Lots of things to do and the owners do a fantastic job keeping the resort looking nice and inviting.

We stayed here over Labor Day and what a great time that was had by the whole
Family! With everything covid they had sanitizer out, reminders to social distance. Awesome resort and fun for the whole family.

We took our grandkids here on vacation. We couldn't have asked for a better time. The kids had a wonderful time with so much to do. Clean and well equipped cottages. Owners are more than friendly and help you with whatever you may need. We will definitely come here again.

Loved it... cabin was clean, great beach area and playground for the kids. We rented one of their pontoons and really enjoyed the lake also!

Love TLL! My family and friends have gone to TLL for 18 yrs. Kids look forward (as do the adults, and grandparents) to our family vacation each summer! Great owners - good times. Totally recommend.

Craig the owner works extremely hard to ensure every family has a memorable experience at his resort. Most of his clients have been coming up here for decades and appreciate everything he does.

Thunder lake lodge was gifted by the most wonderful hosts and they knew every question I asked them and they were some of the best hosts I have ever experienced. For sure would recommend any person to come here. Whether for vacation or fishing!

We've been to Thunder Lake Lodge at least 3 times and have enjoyed every single time!! Very kid friendly for all ages, clean, spacious cabins, and the owners are very friendly and accommodating.

Beautiful space with lots of amenities. Owners are quite nice and very helpful. They understand their clientele and take care of them. The new upgrades they are working on will make this Northwoods gem even better.

Nothing compares to the environment thunder lake lodge brings. You can fish swim tube etc. Sunrise till sundown you will enjoy your time here no matter what. Craig and Jamie bring the house down with this place👍👍🥰

We go to Thunder Lake Lodge yearly for a family reunion on Memorial weekend. This resort is top notch and absolutely amazing.
