Wonderful food, service and "Nostalgia".
Worth the trip from Dallas Texas!

We stopped in today and had the meatloaf that was on special and we also had the chicken fried steak. The food was delicious. It was hot and very tasty. The atmosphere was very inviting and we will definitely be back. And your onion rings are amazing, hands-down the best, especially with your chipotle ranch!

Went inside this cute little unassuming house/cafe and was greeted by the waitress, Carmen. She was very friendly and helpful. Talked with her for a bit, she answered all our questions and was very informative about the menue. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with fries, my husband ordered the hamburger steak with mashed potatoes and gravy with peas. We also ordered the fried cauliflower as an appetizer.
The food came out, and as you will see by the pictures, all home made. I have to say, it was the best burger I have had in a very long time! We both enjoyed our meal very much! If you are traveling down highway 75, just outside of Dawson, you must stop and give them a try! You will not leave hungry or disappointed!! Thank you 6 Mile Cafe for a wonderful lunch!!

Stopped for lunch while driving through Dawson. Don't let the unassuming exterior fool you. The interior is cozy and the staff was very welcoming. My husband and I ordered the chicken fried steak and Salisbury steak meals. Portions were very generous. The food was delicious! The pie selection was amazing. Couldn't leave without trying a piece of the strawberry rhubarb and dutch apple pies. ❤❤❤

The service is always wonderful! They are always busy but very attentive and friendly.

A place in an old house in the middle of nowhere. Very clean, lots of parking. Excellent home cooking! Friendly employees. Reasonable prices. Have eaten here several times. Highly recommended!

Love local diners and cafes! I stopped in for a snack after a long hike at Indian Cave. This place has a full bar. We ordered chicken strips and onion rings and they were delicious. Service was great also!

This is what a roadside diner should be! First of all, exterior signs are not all that good, so unfortunately, if you do not know it's there, you won't be drawn in to stop. I do recommend stopping here! Staff was friendly and food was good. All I wanted was their simple grilled cheese and fries and both had a little extra pizazz that made them better than I had hoped!

Absolutely fabulous home cooked food. The corn nuggets and onion rings are superb! Definitely worth a stop off if you are passing!! 👍👍👍👍👍

Great little roadside cafe!!!! Chicken fried steak is my favorite, but everything is great!!! The staff are very polite and helpful.....the size is not very big, but big enough!!!!!!

Best place to get a fantastic meal, very reasonably price, friendly staff. If you're on hiway 75 north of Dawson, be sure to stop in for a great meal. You'll be glad you did.

If you are traveling through Nebraska you have to stop here! The service is wonderful, the food is great (as are the prices) and you get lots, as you can see!😁

This little drive by don't look like much but I promise you give them a try. It's small, personable and you're greeted as you walk in. It's a must stop every time we drive that way. Food portions are huge, think doggie box, it's crispy if it supposed to be, and ranch dressing gets left on your table. Condiments come in bottles. Wait staff is fun, easy to visit with and seems to always be there when you need them. Give it a try!
