Little gem hidden along the river. Owners are friendly, it is a clean place, and it's a quiet environment. It's not a large campground, there are toilets/sinks near by, but the showers are on the other side of the campground from where the tent sites are. We've been here a few times and it gets better every time- highly recommend staying here!

We have camped for many years and just had the best camping experience at Riverhurst. We had a beautiful river front site with water, power and sewer. Plenty of room for our 35ft trailer and large truck. The owners were so friendly, welcoming and helpful. The grounds are beautifully maintained. Used the bathrooms while out walking and they were spotless. We stayed for four nights and have already made reservations for a five night stay. Highly recommend.

This was one of the most beautiful locations we’ve camped. I can’t believe you’re right off the freeway; it’s like wandering into a hidden oasis. We will be back; and we will bring the kiddo next time. The tall trees and the beautiful river side view were well worth the trip with lots of nearby things to see and do.

We’re long time experienced campers having graduated through backpacking and tenting phases, dragging our pre-teen girls all over the northern tier of this fine country in a tiny car, packed to the roof with everything it takes to survive and now, in retirement, hauling a luxury 35’ foot travel trailer to some lovely places. THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST. It’s hard to believe that a one mile long strip of paradise exists along busy Rt 417 just east of Olean, NY. The campground is clean, super quiet and so well kept and maintained by Cindy, Dave and the rest of the owners group. The Allegheny River waits for you to camp alongside and get your fill of bird watching, fishing, or canoeing & kayaking. Stay for a day or the whole season. Wow. Private campsites don’t come any more welcoming and friendly.

We arrived late after sunset and it was already dark. Dave and Cindy (owner) welcomed us warmly like family and helped even to light up a campfire for our comfort while we built up our tent. All the other folks around were also outstanding friendly and awesome to us, so we felt instantly at home. We had a phantastic time there. The campground is located close to small river. Fishing and canoeing are just some of leisure activities possible. The pitches are extremely spacious, very well maintained and absolutely clean. The sanitary facilities are simple but also absolutely clean. We'll come back for sure. If google would allow I would have given 6 stars.

We loved everything about our long weekend, but could've easily stayed there for a week. The grounds are very well kept and everyone was super nice and accommodating! The kids played on the playground, rode bikes, and we tubed the river with our favorite drink in hand. Of course a nice quiet fire with smores at night! We cannot wait to come back and make more memories catching crayfish and tadpoles, relaxing, and losing track of time!

Great, quiet little campground. They need a bit of a better turnaround for the riverfront sites as it was a bit too rough for me to bring my 32 footer through and around. Otherwise the staff is excellent, and the place is very clean! WiFi is also a bonus and worked terrific! Will be back again soon!

This is a beautiful campground!! The spaces are HUGE and LEVEL! I have been in more commercial campgrounds who would have packed 3 RVs in the space we had. There is a lot of gorgeous open space so even being parked next to someone is no big deal. The bathhouses are pretty primative but they are clean, have hot water, and good water pressure. This is a great campground for people who just want to enjoy nature. It was a welcome reprieve from many of the campgrounds we have stayed in that feel like amusement parks. We would DEFINATELY stay there again!

Absolutely incredible week we had at the chalet! On the water surrounded by the tallest trees I've ever seen. Hidden Gem. Great for kids with playgrounds and basketball/volleyball courts. Amazing fishing and kayaking in the Allegheny river!! We will return!

This was a four night stop for us. We are on 6mo. Around the states trip. We have stayed at many campgrounds. This was very nice. Level spots with a variety of options. We opted to dry camp two of the nights. We had a lovely view of a grass field large enough for a polo match. The one shining aspect of this place, very dog friendly! Our pooch occupied herself chasing bugs on the open field. Owners were allowed to police themselves concerning dogs. No leash law! All in all this was a very positive thing. Owners where responsible and there were no incidents. The place was very clean and we had a quiet spot all to ourselves. I hope we can find more parks like this in our travels. I felt comfortable and welcome the whole time. Even got some very nice images of Bald Eagle juvenile. This camp has just had new ownership and they were very friendly and helpful. There was much activity in improving roads while we were there. It did not diminish our enjoyment and I will definitely have this spot as a highlight of good places to stay!

My wife and I just returned from another great visit to River Hurst Park. Lonny, Lance and Dave were awesome. Couldn't ask for better owners. The campground is well maintained and peaceful by the river. Looking forward to our next stay.

This is our favorite campground to escape to to relax! The grounds are lovely, rustic and well kept. If you are looking for the hustle and bustle of a Jellystone or KOA this is not the place for you. BUT if you are looking for a peaceful and tranquil place to get back to nature, with full hookups, this IS the place for you! Cindy and Dave are great hosts!!! I can't recommend enough!! Get back to old fashioned relaxation camping!!

Dave & Cindy (2 of the owners) are fantastic. The campgrounds were spotless. We had so much FUN! Cornhole game competitions, volleyball, swimming, tubing and kayaking down the Allegheny river. We had a makeshift water slide which was so fun right into the Allegheny River. Playgrounds for the kids. Basketball courts, baseball games. Outdoor fire pits and you can buy wood or bring your own. Water, electric and sewer hookups. Showers were spotless. A frame cabin and two brand new log cabins for rent fully furnished and immaculately clean. Dog friendly camping.

Spent a last minute stay here over a busy Independence Day weekend and couldn’t have had a better experience! Casey, Julie and their family were hands down the most hospitable camp hosts i have ever met. It felt like i was staying with family. The space itself was very open, clean and beautiful and it was very apparent that a lot of care and time went into providing upgrades to the facilities there (cleanest showers I’ve ever seen.)
The space is so big it was also very easy to find a secluded spot by the river with my own personal river front.
I can’t recommend this campground enough, you won’t be disappointed!

My new favorite place to camp. Quiet, peaceful, beautiful property. The new owners are fully succeeding in their future plans for Riverhurst. I've stayed in full hook up sites, the chalet and I have dry camped on spur of the moment trips when everything was booked. (Bc we love it there). All my experiences have been great!

We are traveling across the US in a class C RV and heading south from Letchworth State Park in upstate NY. Tired and ready to eat and sleep we happened upon the Web site for Riverhurst Campground which looked like it would suit our camping needs.

Driving out of beautiful cornfields, we worried a bit as we drove down the main road of Olean, as it was billboarded and busy. There was the sign for our campsite: Riverhurst Park Campground where we took a deep breath and turned in. To our delight, this campground is secluded and absolutely lovely.

We were greeted by the campground hosts - Lonnie & Sue - who could not have been more gracious. We were also greeted at our site (sitting riverside - Allegheny) by a bald headed eagle and downriver by a beaver building a dam. The campsite was serene and perfect. We went in planning to spend one night but decided to spend a second because it was so lovely.

Thank you to Riverhurst and Lonnie, Sue and Jasper - we will definitely be back!

Not a lot of campsites here which makes it a quiet campground. There are a lot of owners and they are outgoing and nice. We had site 22 which was right on the water. There is a small boat launch to make it easy to walk down to the water to fish. We saw kayakers and someone on a canoe. Our site had a nice concrete pad, water hookups, electric and sewer. It came with a fire ring and picnic table. They do have some dry dock sites. The pine trees are huge and beautiful.

This was our second time staying here in 2 years. River Sites are a little tight, but once you get settled, beautiful views of the river. Quiet little campground. Was pretty wet and the river rose about 3ft and was kinda muddy, but manageable!
