McCoy Creek Campground

Great campground, evening fishing was fantastic, pretty quiet, nice trees, fire rings and picnic tables. The vault toilets are clean and do not smell horrible. Each site has a really nice bear box for food storage too.

This was a gem we found without a plan.
Beautiful sites on the lake, not many people the restrooms were clean and smelled nice. No mosquitos.

For a paid campground, this was really nice. Had very clean bathrooms and pump water. Stayed Thursday night through Sunday @ $15/night. Although there were plenty of people, everyone was respectful of space and with noise. Was lucky and got a spot right on the beach. Palisades Reservoir is gorgeous. Plenty of boondocking spots (the roads were rutted and a bit sketchy) on both sides. South side has trees and the north doesn't.

Love this campground. Its on the opposite less visited side of palisades reservoir. Its back in a ways but the spots come in all shapes and sizes and its sits right next to the lake like calamity does. There is also a creek and tons of riding opportunities. One thing to bear in mind is that people have build fireputs below the campground and set up when the water is low. Dont camp in those spots as you will be evicted by the Forest Service. Stick to the spots in the campground or the many others you may find along the way. 😁

Wonderful experience with wildlife, lots of deer and elk, eagles and grouse, some moose and even a bear. Low cost with fire rings, picnic tables and vault toilets. Enjoy the reservoir and magnificent views. Hand pump water gives your arms a workout.

Extraordinarily beautiful and peaceful, wild game is everywhere, i love camping here i stay as long as i can...don't care about mosquitoes flues or even bees...lol...a place not to pass up when you drive this way or even when you live here..😃🥰🙃

Clean toilets...beautiful views... not too buggy the week after labor day. Would stay here again.
