If you need to stop for a quick moment to stretch you legs of have a picnic, I highly recommend this picnic area right off the road. It's far enough from the highway that you still feel the awe of nature. I was impressed by the immense fog, black sand, and stillness. I crossed the stream and played in the pacific ocean after eating some warmed up soup. On the way out I saw 4 little quails!

This is a great beach picnic area. There are often Elk near by. There is a creek that enters the ocean from the south end of the beach hear. The beach itself can be wildly different in just the course of a few days or weeks. There have been times that reaching the ocean waves was nearly impossible due to the direction of the stream flow. If the stream crosses the beach towards the North for instance it can block access to the ocean. Other times the creek flows almost straight out. The depth and width of the creek can change wildly too from time to time. There are several nice small grassy areas and there is a fresh water pond just above the beach that is fed from runoff or springs from the north.
This can be a a nice place for lunch or just a quick stroll.

*juvenile trout fishing (17 and younger)
*pond
*picnic tables and trash
*restrooms
*walking path
*beach access

The first time we visited was for free fishing day. There is a lot of moss but there are so many fish that the fishing is pretty easy and there are some huge trout in the pond.
They must have recently restocked the pond because today when we went we could see them swimming around in the water and each of the kids caught big ones.
We also get to see a lot of species of birds while here (ospreys, blue heron, ducks, red winged black birds, etc.) and also once saw an otter get up on a log and eat a fish as big as himself!
There is an easy walking path around the pond. And a port a potty nearby.
If you drive past the pond and under the highway there is a restroom and beach access.

We loved this beach! Creek, cliffs, sandy beach, rocky area to the south that is teeming with sea life at low tide! We saw anemones, star fish, urchins, snails, hermit crabs, mussels by the million in tide pools and rocks. Our favorite so far. And blackberries over by picnic table area.

Beautiful spot to walk the beach or just sit and enjoy the ocean. The afternoon we were there we had it all to ourselves. Vault toilets, BBQ pit and several picnic tables are available.

Very easy access to a beautiful beach. There is a park host, bathrooms and parking. I spent a wonderful few hours reading and picnicking, enjoying solitude and scenic wonder.

Beautiful beach but heads up if you go with your fur babies. During the spring/summer, even though the temperature may not seem hot, the SAND IS REALLY HOT at this one! We often overlook our pets feet at the beach but my dog definitely let me know! I live locally & don't take my dogs to this beach during the warm weather for this reason. I go the rest of the year because it actually is one of my favorites!

This little hidden pull off is now the family's favorite beach to venture out to on a sunny afternoon. Large open beach with many smalls treasure and always that beautiful scenery surrounding it all. A great place to picnic and take a stroll on the pathway or beach.

Fantabulous big wide open, with trees, day use only (no overnight parking/camping, although there is a reservable group camp to the north through a locked gate) with youth only fishable fresh water pond with a license, pit toilets, fresh potable water, picnic tables and lots of beach and grassed play areas. Sorry, no trash or RV dump facilities! Great place for a family outing with lots of beach and open grass area for doin' stuff! Dump station with fresh water at Humbug State Park a few minutes north!

Out of the way camp ground, day use, and beach access. Picnic tables and restrooms. Day use is free of charge, and during the summer there is a host family present on site.

We could have easily started here and played in the creek or on the gently sloping beach all day.

Beautiful place to see the lake, especially in the morning because the sun will shine across the lake from behind you. Watch out for goose droppings though!

I love this place. It's perfect for little ones to learn angling. It even has the occasional steer! The setting gorgeous and clean. You get to watch the trout jump all day long.

Beautiful, WIDE beach on the SW coast of Oregon, about 7 miles south of PORT ORFORD, and 12 miles north of GOLD BEACH. A small river seasonally cuts through the property on the southern edge of the private bay, and then "changes its course" all the time as it cuts across Arizona Beach to get to the Pacific Ocean. Offshore is simply lovely with the large rock formations. Lovely view from our property. ARIZONA BEACH is now a State-run, day-visit only, campground.

To the left of where the river runs out you will find lots of wild sea life amongst the rocks. To the right is Beach and cliffs that have cozy private cove-like grooves in them.
