I had a great experience with Berger Solar Electric with my recently completed solar project. Even though I was late in getting them on board, they hustled to complete the application on time for the NEM 2.0 deadline and handled everything needed up through obtaining the Permission to Operate. The consultation as well as the system design and installation was done in an effective and professional manner with good communication along the way.

Berger solar installed a battery system to our existing solar array. All the work was performed in a professional manor and at the highest level of quality. We lost power during the recent storms and had no idea that this occurred until a neighbor informed us, as our new system kick in immediately. Very happy!

Berger did a great job with our ground mount array, which was a fairly complicated installation due to natural obstacles on the property. They were thoroughly professional in every respect, and the other contractors they brought in (e.g., for trenching and concrete) were also excellent. It was really a team process to get everything done in the most efficient way, while ensuring that the result is absolutely solid. The products they use are top notch. I've worked in the area of solar energy (as a professor of electrical engineering and of energy management & design) since the 1990s, and I know a lot of people in the industry. With the amount of growth in solar in recent years, not all the players in this business are really knowledgeable. I was thoroughly impressed with Berger. Bishop is lucky to have these guys as our local team.

Berger Yes! From start (Excellent explanation of how the system works, the politics of solar pertaining to utilities, cost savings vs. cost of project etc.) and held our hands from start to finish. Other local companies gave estimates without even showing up but Berger came with a drone and took pictures and computer modeled everything for us. They also use top of the line components (checked out consumer reports) and did clean installation. They came when they said they would and did what they said they would. They obviously have a good working relationship locally with all the players involved in getting permits etc. making for smooth transition to get solar to grid. Thank you Berger for an easy process. If you are thinking of solar, give them a shot.

We had a recent problem with a voltage regulator on one of our solar panels. I called Berger and after a few phone calls with me sending pictures of the problem that got approval from SunPower to fix the issue under warranty. When the part arrived an appointment was made and Jonathan, the service technician, showed up on time and fixed the problem. He was very nice and answered my many questions. I highly recommend Berger Electric.

Berger Solar Electric installed solar panels on the roof of our home in late 2019. They did excellent work! Even the roofer we used indicated they did a great job. Quality work done quickly and efficiently. They also respond well to any questions and are very thorough in the documentation they provide regarding your system, the costs, and the benefits that you can expect. Our experience over the last 5+ years with the Berger Solar Electric team has been outstanding. In 2018, we made the leap to install solar panels on our all-electric home. We researched and compared several solar systems and contractors before selecting Scott Berger to install our first solar panels. Berger Solar works directly with SunPower solar panels, a company whose panels are USA-made and who has a reputation for excellence. Matthew walked us through the whole process from start to finish. He answered our questions,made good recommendations, advised us on the available rebates, helped us with the paperwork, and worked with SCE to identify our electrical needs. There was zero pressure on us to choose Berger Solar; they simply offered us good, factual information and advice for our specific needs, underlined by their local quality guarantee. We worked with Scott and his team to add electrical breakers, an EV charger, and other modifications to our home. Because of our high roof, Scott’s installers and climbers skillfully used ropes and tackles to gently place and secure the SunPower panels on our roof. We are 100% pleased with the result. Recently, we reassessed our electrical needs and immediately contacted Scott and Matthew, who determined how and where to add extra panels and new electrical additions. Again, the process was clear and easy, and the BSE team was able to make the necessary modifications: additional electrical work, including re-routing a cable underground, a new breaker box, concrete, plaster, and paint – all completed and organized by Scott’s team. They are a one-stop solar and electrical company. We highly recommend Berger Solar Electric for any solar and/or electrical work you need.

I would give Berger Solar 10 stars if it were possible! From the initial meetings to the installation, and all the follow up… Everything has been superb! And incredibly… Nothing was damaged during this past, record-breaking snow season. I heartily recommend them for your solar system needs.

Matthew Berger impressed me with a really great & thorough presentation of his solar system proposal, which was essentially a class in solar energy lasting over 2 hours. He & the entire Berger Team are passionate about solar systems, as good for the planet & a longterm value added to a home! Berger was not the cheapest of the 3 proposals I received, but I felt that the service from installation to warranty (25 years for panels & 10 years for everything else) would make it worth the added initial cost. The design & location of our house in June Lake made for a challenging installation, but Berger dealt with it & did a great job without asking for any extras. All of the necessary & somewhat complicated paperwork was taken care of by Berger, I'm happy to report. I strongly recommend Berger Solar!

Nice work crew who installed the solar panels. Friendly, easy going, efficient, hard-working, and they cleaned up after themselves. Nothing left for us to pick up after they left.
We never felt bad about asking any questions. Financing was pretty painless too.
We are in our 70's which may explain this next comment.
Too many emails.
Every revision, every comma, or period change. I think it might have been easier to make a deposit, work out the details and then finalize the plan with a paper copy so we could read it on the page rather than scroll thru screens then sign the final contract. Like I said we are in our 70's.

At the outset, he did a great job clearly explaining the various options available and the complications of a solar installation .
