Had the cortado and it was amazing! The fragrance of the coffee beans jsut oozies throughout the shop. Definitely recommend

Black Sheep is the local spot for great coffee with a friendly atmosphere. It is a great space to work, hang out, or catch up with friends. They have a separate space for local art, mugs, and other items for sale. In general the staff are always kind and the place has a very cozy but welcoming feel. If you're lucky, you can also catch local musicians jamming and playing some wonderful music.

Me and My wife and we love coffee. Simple, so on our travels, we lobe stopping by different coffee joints. This one was very cool and had an open deck with seating everywhere you can enter through front and back.

Friendly baristas, good espresso, really cool direct trade relationships. Small shops doing cool things. I'm here for it.

Great coffee shop with some light tasy snacky things to enjoy with your coffee.both indoor and outdoor seating, plenty of plugs to recharge your wlectronics and good wi-fi connection if you have to work. Service is friendly and the coffee is really good.

Absolutely love this place. I have spent a couple weeks in Bishop and have come here almost every morning. The staff here is excellent - calling out Caitlin, Danny, Raen, and Dallas for being incredibly cordial, professional, and informative. The coffee here is excellent. I highly recommend the "panda soup" with soy or almond - especially if you are vegan or vegetarian. Make sure to stop by here on your next trip to Bishop and to tip well. Very impressed! Facilities are clean and cozy.

*update* as luck would have it, I finally stopped by the shop. It's not much to speak of, honestly. Just a small shop with good coffee and a friendly atmosphere. And of course Black Sheep coffee...

For the better part of two years now, 90+% of my personal coffee consumption (daily fresh grind, pour-over) has been using various roasts from Black Sheep. Bang for buck, some of the tastiest coffee I've had in years. Not that I'm some kind of major coffee snob but I still enjoy a solid cup and these guys deliver.

The rating is ultimately not about the coffee though, there are plenty of places that can offer great beans. The rating is more about being great at customer service when an issue occurs and I great appreciate that they took care of me when a problem came up. It makes that fresh cup taste that much sweet and I would certainly love a chance to visit the Bishop location some day soon.

I’m a bit of a coffee snob and come from decades of work as a roaster and barista. That said this is a true gem of a coffee spot!! My cortado was prepared perfectly, drip coffee was smooth and full of flavor. Also all of the baked goods and burritos were amazing. We will be back for sure

I love this place. The coffee is excellent. The best coffee on US-395, forget Starbucks. I always visit when I travel in this part of California. They have some good food options too. And some amazing art hanging on the walls.

The cappuccino and scone were a ten out of 10. The bathroom was a zero out ten. Having a decent clean bathroom would improve the facility.

When the barista mesures the portafilter weight on a scale you know you're going to get a great coffee. And we got one of the best. The climbing history on the walls is a nice touch and connects you with the community in Bishop.

Great espresso coffees. The oatmilk mocha is heavenly. Even the plain latte was perfect.
We grabbed some of their pre-made breakfast burritos to go. Sweet potato and sausage and a bacon and hash brown. Dog friendly patio around back.

Black sheep coffee is an amazing establishment. The staff are compassionate and skilled. My family and I just went through a terrible ordeal where my mom went missing. The staff let us make base camp there, use the WiFi, arrange meetings with the media, and all the while were extremely gracious. Do yourself a favor and visit this establishment. I plan on stopping by every time we drive through town.

Love this place, Nostalgic. Wish you still got a mug instead of a paper cup but I’m sure there’s a reason. Cheers guys!

Superb Cafe with great coffee, fresh baked goods, and unique breakfast options like the sweet potato and sausage burrito which was the perfect departure meal before hitting the trail for a week. The store is filled with awesome local art and the patio is cozy. Staff was rad, welcoming, and entire atmosphere on point.
