Pupfish Cafe

My husband and I had lunch at Pupfish, our daughter Reccommend it. It’s not a place you will see from the street. It’s small and in a parking lot but has good food. I ordered the grilled cheese sandwich which was very good, it also comes with a small salad. My husband had the turkey sandwich, he really enjoyed it. They have a couple tables outside and about 6 inside, small but quant. The restaurant has a doorway inside that goes right into a library.

Best cafe in Bishop, hands down. Serves up Black Sheep espresso/coffee better than Black Sheep does! Wonderful food, and the employees pride themselves in a warm, inviting environment. Go now!

Delicious cafe set inside an adorable book store. Had the chicken curry on toasted sourdough (delicious), avocado toast (avocado was perfect) and dessert waffle (divine) plus golden milk lattes (perfectly flavored/not sweet). Everything tasted better than it looked in the photos and exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend.

This is such a great little gem!!! Food is so yummy! Healthy homemade and gluten free bread locally made! Try any of the toasts, paninis are awesome, and the quiches are again, homemade and amazing! Taylor, the owner is so sweet and welcoming. Staff are so friendly…Joe makes the best turmeric drink (my fav!), and he’s super friendly!!

Food was simple tasty breakfast. The spreads were all delicious! It definitely kicked up the simple breakfast sandwich and paninis. I'm not a fan of eggs but the cilantro spread on my finances Avo, egg and cheese Panini w/ cilantro spread made me feel like I was missing out! I had the Portobello mushroom panini was very tasty. Our respective latte and matcha was good, but the sandwiches were definitely a must try.

Patio in the back next to the parking lot to enjoy the sun and day, very dog friendly, and nice to find a book and enjoy with a coffee or light bite.

What a great spot! The breakfast egg panini was delicious. And the waffle you can’t miss. Even the coffee was amazing.

The employees were so kind and there’s a nice area to sit outside in the back.

The cafe is in the back of an indie bookstore. To me it seemed to be more of the local coffee shop, everyone that came in knew the baristas by name and it’s much less busy than the other cafes on Main st.. they had gluten free bread for my sandwhich and the option of an unsweetened chia latte, which was all delicious! The bookstore sells many things by local artists, drop in and show them some love! Parking in back.

The mint matcha is awesome! They use local eggs and everything I've tried from their food menu is amazing.

Seriously good espresso. Quality beans, the barista weighs every shot. Consistent- we came here multiple times and it was perfect every time. Melbournians would be happy with the shots. A Cortado here is pretty much a Melbourne ‘magic’. The paninis were great, too. It’s behind a bookshop, with an entrance at the carpark out back.

Absolutely delicious and healthy choices. Nice people working here. Inside outside seating and behind a bookstore! Could you ask for more?

Had a portobello panini and a soy milk mocha. One of the best panini and mocha I've ever had. Very friendly people, has Wi-Fi, just behind a bookstore - all the characteristics of a great cafe! Veggie/vegan friendly.

I stopped by here for breakfast on my way to Mammoth due to the high reviews. OMG the breakfast waffle sandwich is amazing. The latte is also top notch quality. Very friendly staff! Now I'll have to stop by more often.

What a pleasant and enjoyable coffee shop. I had a latte and a Mexican toast, both taste great.

Staff saw my group standing outside a little before opening time and let us in early. The barista was really stoked to show me a couple different neat espresso glasses and gave me a choice between them. Very chatty and pleasant and made a great cortado. The breakfast panini was excellent as well. All the staff was cheerful and welcoming. A person of limited ability (maybe unhoused?) came in and was potentially distracting to the staff during the breakfast rush, but they all took time to make this person feel welcome and valued. Great people and experience all around.

Hot off the trail I was looking for a morning to relax and read. Picked up a book in the attached store - Spellbinder - then got the breakfast waffle sandwich specialty and coffee. Stupidly delicious treat, nearly ordered 3 more. Super friendly staff offered free coffee refills of a cup that cost 2.50... that's unheard of in most places. I read in peace for hours and would do it all again, what a gem!

If ever passing remotely through or near Bishop, this is the hey 395 stop to make. I'll never drive through Bishop on my way to Mammoth or Tahoe without stopping here first!

Front is all unique bookstore, used & new items. Nice pottery, pride items, incense, you name it. Reasonably priced... we bought both new & used books & gifts!

Cafe is in the back. Indoor & patio seating. Great food. I ordered a custom spinach salad & hubby ordered portobello panini & peppermint tea. Everything, including the service, was excellent. They had food for vegans, vegetarians, Paleo & meat eaters. Smart menu!

The salmon toast is the perfect combination of toast, cream cheese, salmon, onions, and capers. If you love salmon I would highly recommend try it here.

had the most amazing healthy breakfast here. the Norwegian avocado toast with an extra egg was fantastic. Coffee - even Starbucks don't make such an awesome Latte.

Homey, friendly, community-friendly spot in the back of a FABULOUS bookstore in the heart of Bishop.

A range of healthy, affordable food - I had the quiche w/ side salad and locally roasted coffee.

Good place to hangout and work - WiFi easily accessible. Lots of small tables, even a few seats at the bar.
