Low markup but amazing store for camping and hiking and climbing. One of the best I've seen, gear repair, all types of stoves and parts for stoves, up to date top grade kit all at great prices.

Half my clothes come from this place! Tons of practical, good looking, comfortable clothes for all outdoor activities. Good shoe selection. Guidebooks, maps. Climbing/camping/hiking gear. Staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly.

They totally saved my Whitney climb when my outfitter dropped the ball. Rented all the equipment we needed for a reasonable price. Highly recommend.

Wilson's Eastside Sports is the go to shop for hiking, backpacking and other mountaineering gear in Bishop, Ca. Their employees are friendly and helpful, with Ms. Pope providing particularly helpful and friendly advice about hiking boots! I love the boots I bought, but Trial and return periods are included with most purchases.
Eastside sports is not particularly cheap and not open very late.

I would highly recommend Wilson's Eastside Sports to anyone looking to quickly acquire hiking/mountaineering gear.

If I could give them 100 stars I would. The staff is SO kind and helpful to PCT hikers. One guy in our group was in a tough spot with trekking poles and they went above and beyond. Awesome place!

I'm a long-time customer of (formerly Wilson's) Eastside Sports, in the past when I lived in Bishop and now whenever I'm in town. They're always helpful about info on alpine climbing conditions. Most recently I was looking for a specific configuration of a Western Mountaineering bag that was on backorder everywhere except Eastside Sports. They were super nice about my shipping preferences, given the theft problems I had experienced with my local post office. My bag came quickly, and I can't wait to use it. Huge thanks to Todd and staff for the great remote shopping experience.

Eastside Sports has been the most helpful gear store I’ve been to in a long time. Swapped over trekking pole tips and had everything I needed to keep moving on trail. Highly recommend.

The staff here is amazing! They definitely go above and beyond to make sure you are ready for your adventure. I thought the prices were quite reasonable and found some gems in the clearance rack. Be sure to check them out if you are in Bishop!

What a great treasure in the middle of this little town. Nice , friendly employees and a great selection of just about everything you need for a weekend in Bishop. Great map selection, hats, clothes, energy bars ,and it smells way better than shop a few doors down who didnt even acknowledge us at all . Cant wait to use that cute hat i purchased . I will be back again :)

One of my favorite outdoor store of all time!! Everyone that works here is next level helpful and friendly! They are not pushy sales people and want to make sure that you are 100% satisfy with your purchase. They have wide selection of high end gear . Prices are very fair and they always have lots of clearance clothes, shoes and gear. Very neat and we'll organized store.

I definitely appreciated having a quality gear shop in town while visiting the area to climb. Pretty much all the staff are local climbers/hikers themselves, so ask them questions and they'll be super helpful. They helped us pick out the best guidebook for the area, plus you can rent the Owens River Gorge guidebook.

Such a nice outdoor adventure store! The usual gear for hiking, camping, climbing & running are found here, but the real highlight is the friendly & knowledgeable staff! They are passionate and a wealth of information on the local area. These guys really made our trip a success!

My favorite local outdoor supply store. Always stocked with Kuhl, MSR canisters, Patagonia headlamps and all sorts of fun knick-knacks for the tent shelves. A little pricey on some things but that's to be expected for our remote location. Friendly, attentive staff. When we landed in Bishop twenty-five years ago, it was called Wilson's Eastside Sports, and James Wilson, could always be counted upon for good conversation. That is one thing I do miss very much, chatting with James.

Came in a second time after my girlfriend saw a pair of socks she loved and wanted to get. On our way out I grabbed a guidebook for sport and top-roping in Yosemite so that we might be able to get a couple routes in on our trip through there. As Luke was ringing us through he mentioned that we should make sure we check out Tuolumne Valley. After we showed a bit of interest he spent the next 15 minutes going through the guidebook and showing us all his favorite routes with an insane amount of stoke! Love buying stuff from people who love what they do. Thanks for the help!

Great service at this store. They had what I needed for my stop during my PCT thru-hike. A friend of mine got new one sections for free, another had his pole tips replaced for free by an employee.
