The best filet steak I have eaten in a long time! I ordered it (filet mignon) rare and it was extremely tender. Too bad we're tourists otherwise this place would become a favorite.

Lovely place with high quality food. By far the nicest place in Bishop for a dinner out. My salmon was fantastic!

The service was great. The food was delicious!!

We came here for my father's birthday on a Thursday. It was pretty mellow night. Our waitress was very knowledgeable. The food was delightful, we had the rib eye special medium rare, Cooked to perfection. Also the scampi, which was rich in flavor and enough to share with two... Sage is an awesome hidden gem in bishop. I will recommend it to everyone, and will come back soon.

Every course at Sage was excellent. When I looked at the menu, I was a bit concerned. Very old fashioned, the kind of food I might have seen in the '70s. But ignore that! Everything was prepared to very high standards. My wife had an excellent salmon and my pork tenderloin was superb.

The homemade ice cream and a perfect creme brulée finished the meal perfectly. If you're in or near Bishop, you should go.

We went to celebrate my husband's birthday. He has the lamb shank with the soup of the day. I had the trio of veggie raviolis with the house salad. The food was high quality and well made. The service was top notch. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu items and how they are prepared. We loved our meal so much we even had dessert. The vanilla creme brulee was outstanding.

Nice restaurant. The server knew the menu very well. She informed us what they were out of before we ordered which is good to know. Great service. All the servers are very nice and friendly. We ordered the jalapenos potato soup, sauteed mushrooms, braised lamb shank and clam pasta but they substitute with mussels. All of them were really good. Very recommend. Try this place if you pass by or stay over night in bishop.

We ate here one night. White tablecloths, china, silverware with generous napkins and excellent service. My wife had medallions of pork tenderloin she still raves about. I had the buffalo meatloaf because I'm a guy but the meals were well presented, service was good and the price was just above fair.
We will make a point of dinner at the Sage our next time in Bishop.

Wonderful low key place with a nice menu, great service and good prices. I had a chicken breast and imported ham dish that was excellent along with an excellent salad and nice piece of cheese cake. Wine list not huge but well priced and covers what is needed.

Best fine dining in Bishop and best I've ever had anywhere. Both soup and salad are the best, the soup is always interesting and different and the salad if fresh and fancy. I've had steak, buffalo meatloaf, pistachio incrusted salmon, and pork tenderloin all were great but the pork tenderloin was juicy with a sweet wine colored sauce and was there best thing I've ever eaten. If I was rich I'd eat there every chance I had.

I would highly recommend Sage Bistro (RESTAURANT) We went to Bishop during a holiday weekend and made reservations for the next evening. The wait staff was fantastics, she checked on us without being overbearing. The food was impressive, my husband had pesto linguini with shrimp (which was fresh and delicious) and I had seared tuna with a wonderful aioli which was delicious served with pureed carrots and other seasonal veggies. The one roasted brussel sprout that I got was delicious and made me want more. We will definitely visit this small off Main Street restaurant the next time we visit Bishop. There are other dishes on their menu that I would love to try.... thanks we LOVED it!!!

By far one of the best kept secrets in Bishop. From the moment I walked in I was greeted and sat. I reviewed the menu while I waited for my server. The servers timing was perfect every time.

Bread- The bread served at the table was perfect.

Bruschetta- The first bite was an explosion of flavors. The tomatoes could easily be compared to those right off the vine. The bread under was delicious.

Soup of the day- No words can describe what this tastes like. This is served with the entree.

Mussel and Applewood Bacon Pasta- Whatever the mussels were sauteed in was delicious. The vegetables grated on top of the pasta were fresh. The pasta was dry. I had to add butter from the bread to the noodles. I had wished whatever the mussels were sauteed in were also in the pasta as well.

I was too full to get dessert but I would of loved to try the cheese cake.

Like another reviewer, I have driven through Bishop on my way to Tahoe for over 30 years, never venturing off Main St./Highway 395. I’m so glad I turned off on Line Street just a block to Sage. Very friendly and attentive service, and good value for my money. I had the Three Vegetarian ravioli that came with a variety of vegetables, a fresh house salad and really wonderful French bread just out of the oven. I will definitely return.

Amazingly interesting food, great wine choices at very attractive prices, and excellent service...
all in a very attractive space. This our favorite restaurant in Bishop; we eat here whenever we are driving through. And we are SO glad they are still there!

Great food! I was doubtful at first. The bread they served seemed like it had been purchased at Vons, but the salad and vegetarian ravioli were fantastic! We come to Bishop annually and it is great to finally have a place where we can eat good, healthy food after a long day in the mountains. Thank you for opening!

Excellent food and friendly service. Went here because of the reviews and absolutely not disappointed. May not have dropped in without the review as it is off the beaten path and doesn't have tremendous curb appeal. However, we sat in the patio and had a terrific meal. Top end cut of filet cooked to perfection. Great experience!

Had a fantastic Mother's day meal there 2017. Loved the surf and turf, ordered soup with meal, so smooth, tasty, beautiful presentation. On to the filet mignon, the finest cut ever, top with crispy onion. Excellent thick cut, but melted in my mouth. Enjoyed cup of tea with excellent creme brule. Can't wait to return. Service was excellent, quiet, and everything a person could dream of. Thanks for a special meal.

I just left there! This place was to die for. I felt the prices were more than fair. The surf and turf spring roll was one of the best things I have eaten in years. I ordered another
for lunch tomorrow. The filet mignon was large and done to perfection. I was disappointed to see yellow squash as one of the vegetables, but not after I tasted it.
