Rocky Bay Cafe & Delicatessen

While in Friday Harbor I ate here twice, once for breakfast and once for lunch. I found this place to be a wonderful spot for a meal. The meals were delicious and ample portions, and the service was super friendly and attentive. The next time I come back I’ll be here again, highly recommend for breakfast or lunch!

Arrived here this morning 1/29/24 at 9:05, we were greeted, seated, ordered, ate and walked out at 9:31. Impressive, especially if you’re getting on a ferry.

Aubrey (sp) very nice, everything happened as it should happen, and we left knowing we will be back.

Our meals were delicious, large and filling. The chef did a nice job plating the breakfast.

Nice home town feeling. See you next time!

Walked here because we had an hour wait for our ferry.
We seated ourselves, sat for some time without being acknowledged. Finally, my husband went and confirmed that we self seat.
By the time the server brought us menus, we were down to 35 mins before our ferry would board.
We asked if this was enough time, server said, no. So we left. Sad because we really wanted to try this place.
Maybe if we had been greeted, and seated, and maybe a smile, the outcome could have been different.
The server talked us out of staying and dining. I asked about taking our food to go, she couldn’t guarantee that either.
I know home cooked, custom orders take time.. but I’d never let money walk out the door.

I might add, there were other tables with diners, most already had their food. Not what I would consider busy.
Can’t give any stars for the food. Didn’t eat.

You want good food or do you want food fast. Good food takes a minute and that is what Ricky Bay serves. Expect to wait for a table (get on the wait list) but you'll not be disappointed. We ate here on our first visit to Friday Harbor in June and now again on our second visit. Good Lord willing we'll be back.

Had the CFS...... mostly perfect meal less the gravy. Made from scratch sausage gravy, the roux needed to be cooked longer as it tasted like flour. The staff are friendly and attentive to the customers very nice little Cafe!

I stopped by Friday for brunch while I was waiting for my sister’s ferry to get in. The food was great, service was friendly and loved the atmosphere. We ended up going back everyday for brunch the rest of the weekend. Yes, we had to wait awhile but it was worth the wait! We just put our names on the list and went to enjoy the market and some shopping in the meantime. Once seated, they were busy but the food and service was still wonderful. If you like Eggs Benny as much as I do this is your place! To those who have written the few negative reviews, you obviously have never worked in customer service or a restaurant before. Be patient, be kind and get over yourself. They work hard, their food quality and smiles under pressure shows it. Will definitely visit again next time I am in town!

This is a great place for breakfast. We ordered the pancakes, bacon, and hashbrowns. Pancakes were delicious - big, fluffy, but with a slight crisp that made them outstanding. Hashbrowns weren't your typical style, but were so yummy. Staff was fast and courteous. Would definitely recommend eating here!

Grabbed a BLT w fries, ranch & coffee for quick brunch, while waiting for work appointment…. Was able to get the last open table; they were busy. Surprised food came fast (due to other reviews), waitress was friendly, sandwich was good w/ plenty of bacon (but not bacon heavy). Just under $14+tip; a little higher than I would have expected, but semi-reasonable. Small cafe vibe. Pretty good menu variety. Sorry, forgot to take a pic, before taking a bite, LOL.

My family and I are from Bellingham and we came here for brunch on a Saturday morning. The place was busy, but the service was extremely fast! Everyone was so friendly and the food was absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend.

Our first time here on Friday Harbor, and we chose to stop and get breakfast here. The best decision we made. Breakfast was amazing!! The best French toast and breakfast burrito we ever had. Danny was fantastic and attentive.

Their breakfast was the best meal I've had on the island. Staff are SUPER friendly. Great place and staff were all down to earth.

We were only on the island for two mornings and after our first breakfast at Rocky's we had to return! Service is fast and friendly and to the point, the food will have you coming back again and again!

I had the Classic breakfast the first morning and it was spot on. Eggs cooked perfect, toast crispy and hot and with plenty of butter and bacon that was to die for. Hubby had the chicken fried steak and loved it! Not the typical frozen patty, a real meat patty and delicious gravy with perfectly cooked eggs. Next day hubby had the corned beef benedict and I had the crispy chicken wrap. Both were excellent! Hubby always needs extra hollandaise but not this time, it was perfectly sauced! The crispy chicken wrap is loaded with chicken and bacon, I mean loaded!! Oh, and the shoestring fries are addicting, be fair warned!!

Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

We had the Cali eggs benedict, French toast and a veggie omelet with a biscuit. Went back a second time on our trip because the food was so good. Highlights were the hollandaise sauce on the eggs benedict, the house potatoes and the biscuit.

Had to wait about 30 minutes for a table but it was so worth it. The food and service were excellent. Very friendly and attentive staff, even with how busy it was. The smoked salmon eggs Benedict was fantastic! I highly recommend it!

Delicious breakfast burritos and French toast. Recommend adding the berries and creme. Lovely murals. Friendly and helpful staff. Excellent brunch!

Fun little spot for breakfast. Crazy bright colored art on the walls. Friendly staff greets you with a wave and a warm hello! I enjoyed the a la carte breakfast option. I was able to get just the right amount of food for me. I had a side of French toast and bacon. So very good.

Food was great! It was a long wait but it’s okay. The place seems to be busy all day so it’s understandable! The server was really nice in spite of the situation. We ordered the California eggs Benedict and chicken fried steak 😗🤌🏼the coffee was great too! I forgot to ask what kind of coffee they serve but we both loved it. Thanks 😊

The food was great and the prices are fair too, I got the chicken fried steak with eggs and hash browns. The hashbrown serving was very big and they were cooked just the way I like them. The service was fairly fast despite having a line out the door. Overall I had a great experience here.

All the staff was great. Met the owner John. Such a great guy. The food was great. My son wanted more pancakes and they graciously cooked more even after they were trying to close down the kitchen for the day. Great location. Great food. Now all they need is a Texan flag.
