Hair Event Salon for Men & Women

The owner greeted me with a very lovely smile and immediately was able to seat and start consulting me. I wanted a fluffier layered 70s look, Farrah Fawcett-esque. He nodded and got moving right along, washing my hair and beginning to scissor trim to my desired length. Throughout the whole process he was very friendly and personable, and we swapped family stories and bonded over shared Italian/Romanian lineage.

After the cut he told me I was eligible for the student discount! Which saved me a few bucks, but the price for a women’s cut is unbeatable- I think I spend more on lunch than I did on this haircut. I was able to leave generous tip as I’d expected the usual $40 and up price range for a haircut and the $25 total left me with too much cash to not use.

And the cut was absolutely gorgeous. After I got home and washed my hair once more it’s everything I could’ve hoped for, fluffy, well layered, exactly how long I’d wanted it to be. 10/10, please come here and support a small business you won’t regret it!

The Z The only hairstylist to take one look at me and know exactly where I went wrong. Mr Z’s European styling in the CVS shopping center on Chapman. my long locks became a super wonderful pixie Bob. Love it. Worth every cent.

My first time visiting this Salon. I was a walk-in and was taken care of immediately. Danielle did a great job! My hair was all one length and very long. She layered and styled it beautifully. I will definitely be back for future service!

Mr. Z is really nice and patient. I'm very very insecure which resulted in the haircut I got. It's not my style but it looks really really good. A lot better than far more expensive hair cuts I have gotten

The owner was incredibly sweet and gave me exactly what I wanted!! The prices are a must for students or anyone looking for something small they need done for their hair!! I’m gladly making this my new hair stop!

Mr Z is great! Came in with an unruly mess I hadn’t gotten cut in 2+ years and he handled it perfect and was very insistent on giving me a cut I’d love. Couldn’t be happier with my cut and the service!

I tried this place for the first time after reading google reviews. The reviews do great justice to what I experienced. I wasn’t sure what kind of hair cut I wanted exactly, but Mr. Z gave me a very neat beautiful hair cut based on my abstract criteria. Also, he offered me a student discount. My wife, who hasn’t approved of my haircut in the past, loves my haircut too! I won’t even consider another salon for my haircut from now on.

First time coming here and I am quite impressed with how beautifully Mr. Z cuts hair! He gave my husband an amazing haircut and his prices are very fair. He is also such a nice guy with good energy vibes! We have found ourselves a new haircut place for men's haircuts! He does also do women's hair but we were only looking for men's as my husband has high standards.

The best haircut I have ever gotten! Mr. Z is such a talented kind man. He takes such care with every haircut and makes it such a nice experience. I definitely will be coming back here for a long time!

I have been coming to Mr. Z but I have called him Bala for now little over 20 years. Bala has ALWAYS been good to me and has ALWAYS given me a great and consistent hair cut and style. There are really very few like him. I have never known him to have a bad day or be frustrated and believe me, I’m his line of work I am sure he does but never shows it. Instead, he is the nicest guy I know. Always happy and kind. As a man, it’s hard to say but he is the sweetest guy in Fullerton. If you want a quality style and an over friendly attitude from someone who’s really does put the customer first then come see Bala (Mr. Z). BTW…. Only I can call him Bala cuz he has been taking care of my hair for so long! To you and my son…. It’s Mr. Z! Thank you Bala, please don’t EVER retire, I wouldn’t know what to do!

I got my hair done by Mr. Z and let me tell you it was worth it. First he mave me a student discount and then proceeded to give me the best haircut I've ever gotten. This will be my go to spot and Mr. Z will be my go to man from now on!

Got a haircut and love the way it came out! Had a lot of dead hair, it feels so light and rich now. I asked for a butterfly cut. Definitely did not disappoint! Very nice and great service.

I rarely get haircuts since I let my hair grow long. I received a men’s haircut and was very impressed! I was just expecting a simple haircut but to be honest it’s one of the best ones I have received these last few years. The barber is very patient and will take his time. Mr. Z is by far one of the kindest men you will ever meet. In the course of a single haircut I had my faith in humanity restored. Mr. Z asked me why I wanted to shave the side of my head and I shared with him that I am facing a cancer diagnosis and may have to go through some heavy chemo which would cause me to lose my hair anyway and wanted to get used to the idea. Upon hearing this he placed a hand upon my shoulder and stated he would pray for me and in that instant I felt a sense of comfort and ease I hadn’t felt in months. When he was finished I asked for the total and he refused to charge me, so I took some cash from my wallet and placed it in his hand and told him I would be back for sure. I had started to lose my optimism and my faith, yet this one man brought that all back for me in one afternoon. From the bottom of my heart thank you Mr. Z! You are an amazing human being, your kindness will not be soon forgotten.

Mr Z gave my sister and I a beautiful salon experience. I live 2500 miles away and on my visit my sister and I wanted to get a new look together! He delivered! It’s amazinh to watch him! We had cut and colors and watched him do in between cuts on customers, they all walked out looking amazing and we felt amazing as well! What a treasure Mr. Z is and I’m glad we found him (even though he’s been there all along, 32 years!!)

This was a really good experience. He was a delightful person. He did exactly what I asked for. Also charged less because it was my first time. Really good salon if you need to use one.

The gentleman here at ‘Hair Event’ saved my disaster of a haircut which I received from another barbershop nearby called “Artist Barber Shop.” Never, ever, go to “Artist Barber Shop,” it is an absolute disgusting joke for a barbershop.

Hair Event is a quality hair cut shop. They fixed my hair and applied a nice fade. It was a proper cut. He was nice. It was worth the 20 dollars.

Very good Father - Daughter team here! I'm very pleased with the service I received here today as well as a few months ago when I first discovered this Salon. It appears to be a barber shop at first as it was full of men but I was lead into the back room where the daughter of the nice man works. She listened carefully to what I said I wanted done, highlights and more layers. She took her time and did a great job. She even blew it dry and curled it for me for no extra charge. All of that for only $60. I've paid much more at other salons for much less! And I love how my hair looks! I also overheard how pleased the men were with their cuts when I walked out to have my hair washed. I recommend this salon for both men and women. I drive from Long Beach to come here and it's worth it.
