Amazing church. I had such an amazing time while I came to visit on my vacation.
The diversity of people here is beautiful. Truly a church for the nations. I am excited for the move of God here. Expectant of what the Holy Spirit is doing and will do here. You gotta come and consider making this your home if you are a local.

This preacher the worst there is the most wonderful person I’ve ever spoke with her ever met. He speaks the Lords words.. thank you all so much. The preacher prayed over my husband and myself we’ve been married for 44 years. I have never felt so deeply towards a person getting a blessing and a prayer on them as I did the preacher talking to my husband. Thank you so much you’ve been light in my eyes for everything.
God bless you

I have been aware of this church for some time, and have followed their ministry from a distance. Last Sunday, I had the privilege of attending in person. Wow! The Spirit of the God is moving here powerfully. I was treated very warmly and hospitably by the people there. Worship was incredible. The Presence of the Lord was there in a mighty way. The pastor shared a timely and anointed word from God on the dangers of offense in the life of the believer. If you live anywhere near Anaheim, I encourage you to check this out!

Dwelling Place is a must visit if you are in LA! We were in LA for a short vacation and attended the Sunday service at Dwelling Place. Those 2 hours at Dwelling Place was definitely the highlight of our trip! From the moment we walked in till the moment we left the church, we felt welcomed, loved and belong. The staff were so welcoming, helpful and joyful. We could feel the love and joy of the Lord in everyone we encountered with! The presence of the Lord is tangible during worship, message was encouraging and relevant. Our little one really enjoyed Sunday school! I’ve been to many places and visited many churches while traveling, but honestly Dwelling Place is by far the #1 place that made me feel right at home. To our surprise, 2 days later when we were at the airport waiting for our flight back home, I received a text from the children’s ministry staff Karen, with words of affirmation! I was instantly in tears. Thank you Dwelling Place, for pouring out your love on us and minister to us even though we were just visiting!

Revival is happening here! Incredible church directed by the Holy Spirit. Great leadership and stewarding of what God is doing in Southern California. The worship is amazing and anointed and the presence of God is in every service.

They have great classes to learn from with mature, seasoned Christians that can help you grow spiritually. They have great community groups as well, along with prayer / worship nights in the prayer room weekly.

I make it a point to bring my family of 5 to this church each summer when we visit from Maryland to visit family. We’ve come for the last 3 years and each time we come we get touched by God. Last year my son was in the youth service and after service he let me know that he was touched by Jesus during the service and started crying. Today in service my high school aged niece (who we’ve been praying for) started crying during service because of the love of God. God is moving! I know there have been some issues recently due to separating from the Vineyard network, but if my family ever moved here to California I would without question join this church community. Thank you Dwelling Place for creating a place where Jesus is touching His people.

To hopefully bring some balance to what seems to be a targeted campaign against this church: my husband and I have been part of this congregation and have served in various ministries here since 1995. We’ve experienced several transitions of leadership in our time here, the most recent with the selection of the Scotts as senior pastors.

The search committee prayerfully asked Alan and Kathryn to lead Vineyard Anaheim. They believed this was God’s will. Now, some of those same people disagree with the decisions that have come from this leadership and are responding in a way that is as worldly as what they have accused Alan of.

The Scotts have said the Lord told them to disassociate this church congregation from the Vineyard movement. They are following the instruction and timing they were given by God. But people can’t accept that as a reason. Those who are accusing and harassing the Scotts also hold to a belief that God speaks to people personally today. But maybe that’s only if they agree with what God is saying. It’s interesting to me how offended we can be when God disrupts our comfortable lives. Ever take a look at the Old Testament prophets? God broke into their lives and disrupted them. How about the apostles? All but one died a martyr’s death. I get the picture that God is in the business of moving people around strategically to fulfill His purposes and it doesn’t bother Him if that makes us uncomfortable. In my experience with the Scotts and submitting to their leadership I find them to be people of integrity who fear God above all else. When you are around people like that, it’s intense.

We have seen and heard people say terrible things about them and this church. It’s heartbreaking. As friends of ours have left because they were hurt by something or someone, or offended on behalf of someone, or because it was no longer the familiar, comfortable place they were used to, I grieved.

I had to reassess why I am part of this particular body of believers. I'm still here because I follow Jesus and He hasn’t told me to leave. When I asked Him “What now?” in March, He asked me “Who do you follow? A movement? A pastor? Or me?”

No church is perfect. People who love and follow Jesus are still broken human beings. But God uses us in our imperfections. It’s not like God didn’t know this would happen this way. What if He did tell Alan it was time to separate Vineyard Anaheim from the Vineyard movement? People ascribe this decision to ambition or greed. Those are worldly motivations, but what if it’s actually God’s direction? It’s shocking to me how much of the anger directed against this church is based on worldly values. “The assets” and hurt feelings. Whose assets are they? Last time I checked, they were God’s. We tithe and donate to a church, and those gifts are no longer ours. We give to God and our giving should not have strings attached.

We have such an entitled and consumeristic mentality towards the church. We come with a “bless me” attitude, and we leave reviews on Google for a church like we would for a restaurant. If you are judging a church based on reviews, consider instead visiting the church, talking to people who currently go there, and asking the Lord where you should be rather than crowdsourcing. If you’re a Christian, the Holy Spirit will make it clear to you where He wants you. Go there and get involved. The church is not an audience. It’s an army, a hospital, a group of people on mission for God’s kingdom.

That is my experience with God’s people at Dwelling Place Anaheim. That is why I am pressing in and loving on all to whom the Lord introduces me each week. There are new people each Sunday. This church is growing and the joy of the Lord is in our midst.

This is a beautiful & authentic community of Jesus followers. “They shall know we are Christian’s by our love. “ Dwelling Place is a new wine skin movement of God’s kingdom. Come, check it out and see for yourself rather than listen to slander & gossip.

Our family has been attending this church for 18 months -- since Feb 2021 -- in person. Prior to that, we attended online from May 2020. I started attending a Vineyard (in Phoenix) in April 1990 and my husband was a Vineyard worship pastor for nearly 30 years. I understand why people are sad about Dwelling Place not being Vineyard Anaheim any longer. Some reviews are sad and angry and several refer to ministries as a prop or sham. This part is not true. Our family (my husband and me and four kids) have been welcomed and loved. We jumped in with both feet and there has been a place for us from the start. We have served and are served by others. We have grown. We have healed from a challenging ministry situation we left. Our kids adore Sundays and every other event they can attend -- working in the pantry and other get-togethers. Kids don't lie about their experiences in a church. When your teens weep because of not being able to occasionally attend because of illness because they don't want to miss out on a special speaker, or worship, or seeing their friends... That's legit. We have taken classes, my husband did Encounter School of Ministry, we all serve in various ways. We have **never** seen a healthier group of believers who sincerely love Jesus and sincerely want to bring the heart of Jesus and the ministry of the Holy Spirit to others. I don't believe the horrid claims of fraud and thievery, either. When we still lived out of state, we started tithing to the church and someone from the church contacted us to say, "You should probably tithe to your local church, not to us." This is not a group of people who clamor for money or other personal gain. This is a group of people who invest with their whole lives into the community -- the lost, dying, broken, food-insecure, sick, homeless, holding VBS not for kids of the church but for kids in a local park in an economically-deprived area. The love for Jesus and for the city is sincere. I'm not saying the transition isn't hard; change is always hard and we each who have loved Vineyard Anaheim deeply have our own sadnesses. I've been a part of the Vineyard movement since April 1990. Part of me is sad. But, I just wanted to submit a counterpoint review from a different perspective from someone whose family moved to California largely to participate with this church -- and we don't regret it in the slightest and God continues to move and we are thankful for this church and the people with whom we learn, serve, and build relationship.

Diverse in culture and age. Worship that is a genuine time of love to God. Everyone looks different. People are friendly. Even though it’s large inside, there are many opportunities to connect in more intimate settings. If you are new I highly recommend you attend the once a month newcomers lunch. This class was helpful in us understanding the direction and heart of the church and meet the humans that God is allowing to lead it. The pastors appear genuine and down to earth. You will leave challenged in truth and have communed with the Holy Spirit!

We visited from the UK in June ‘22 and loved it! God is so tangibly present, good message from Alan and great worship. People are really friendly and genuinely love Jesus. It was a shame to see people outside with boards saying ‘heresy’.

Love this church and what God is doing here. I visited last year after 20 years of being away, and stayed! I am being revived again, experiencing God’s presence in worship again, and getting to know a growing and loving body of believers. The Holy Spirit is honored here. Teachings and worship are excellent. It’s wonderful to be back!

I've come here on and off for most of my life. Started as a youngster(under 10) when my parents went to two churches(this Vineyard and another church closer to our home growing up). I've always been drawn to the worship/music than the sermons(which aren't bad in themselves). The Vineyard is KNOWN for it's worship. I have never felt slighted, looked down upon, or misguided while coming here. The past few years I've been more of a "satellite Christian", so to speak; a bit 'out there', but still loosely connected to the church. It's been mostly by personal choice. However, this past weekend I decided, on a whim, to go back for the Sunday evening service. I'm very glad I did. And despite the 30-45min commute each way, I really enjoy this church enough to continue that trek every week.

IMO, Sunday nights are the perfect time for church. It allows (me) to finish a week off with church, but also start the new week with a community of fellow believers.

Give the Vineyard in Anaheim a try, I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy the experience!

Luke 7:21-35
Dwelling Place Anaheim is a church representing King Jesus well. There will always be critics and hate speech , even in Jesus’ day (see scripture above). This community loves the poor, worships Jesus in truth and lives by scripture. The leadership fears God more than man and sets a beautiful, humble example of their lives to all of us who call Dwelling Place Anaheim home. My suggestion would be to ask the Lord what church community He would like to use you in to bless others and Himself, then go visit there. Listening to critical voices will only bring confusion and angst. Instead practice Philippians 4:8

Wow, finally a church taking a stand to serve! Great volume and acoustics. Nice job sound person. I pray those who want to DO something for the Kingdom come to this church and take part. The Body of Christ is not suppose to be mere spectators, and this church challenges that status quo and teaches everyone to take part in true worship by giving to one another as well.

Really love the message that comes from this church. I came as a guest by my girlfriend . I really believe that God does everything for a reason. God introduced me to my girlfriend a couple of months before coming to the Vineyard, I have been looking for a Home church and this is a great one. Well I don't have my girlfriend anymore but I have now I have a great church and community around me. God knows what he does. Put your faith and love on him and he will bless your life....
