San Juan Island Library

SJI library emphasizes programming for youth and children, but they also cater to boomers like me. They've got lots of computers and free wifi. The comfortable seating next to the fire is my favorite feature.

Great little library, children's programs, diverse selection, thoughtful/mindful curating, community events like "A Space for Black History" with professor Luther Adams - Free Man of Color, excellent example of how libraries are the heart of the community.

Love the library! It is my go to for my own quiet and study time. Also a good spot to bring my son. Craft Wednesday and fun events for little one. I enjoy the service that you can put book on hold and librarians will gather them for you. It really saves a lot of my time to find the book I want at the library. Thank you!

I'm just a visitor to the island, but I always try to visit the local library where I'm visiting. It puts me in touch with the vibe of the community. The staff and patrons very much exhibited all the signs of a close-knit community, engaging in extended conversation about each other and did you hear what happened to so and so kind of conversation. Rather heartwarming to a big city person like myself. I only had time to visit the friends section and I was pleased with the selection and bought a book and several DVDs. I noticed it has a really cool looking children section.

1st time back since lockdown. Boy it felt good. Staff as friendly and helpful as usual. So many selections. I'm at that stage in life where Large Print really helps. And they have a great section. Love our hometown library and it's staff❤

Easychairs for relaxed reading, tables for research work, computers and printers in a separate room, copy machine, cubicles for private work, a children's section, a DVD section, a great selection of books, particularly for a small community, and a staff which is friendly and helpful. If this library doesn't have the book you need, the inter-library loan system will generally be enough for the staff to get you what you're looking for, and they'll call you when it's come in. All in all (because there's much more!), this is the best integration of systems, facilities, resources and personnel I've ever encountered in a library -- and, on top of that, it has a homey feeling, guaranteed to have you comfortable relying on it.

Very helpful staff when they don't have too many customers asking for help at the same time. Understandable when short staffed as many places arr.

Beautiful little library. If they dont have a book you want, they will find it with inter-library loan
