Garlic City Cafe

A variety of foods from soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers, and pasta. They have outdoor dining which is pet friendly. Very reasonable prices for their dishes. Located in the heart of gilroy off the Main Street. Had the garlic soup, chicken breast for my dog, and mushroom chicken sandwich which comes with a side. Everything was bursting with flavor and the service was fantastic. Love coming here when I pass through town.

Amazing breakfast! The roasted garlic was especially delicious. Everything was so fresh and tasty. Will go back there again & again to try everything on the menu. ¡Gracias!

Awesome food, lots of options in the menu for vegetarians and meat lovers, and friendly service. Dont skip the garlic soup. It was the star of everything we ordered.

This was a great choice for a sit down, local place with awesome homemade dishes.

Staff was so friendly and genuine. I noticed their slowly braised beef resting and I had to fight myself to avoid ordering more 😁

We asked for a recommendation from a local antique store clerk/owner, and she said Garlic City Cafe was the best place for a great meal. We were not disappointed. It's mostly Italian cuisine, fresh ingredients, colorful, delicious, and presented as if you were in a 5 star restaurant. We ordered the artichoke appetizer, chicken coq au Vin, penned pasta with prawns and the garlic burger with garlic fries (they do not skimp on the garlic). Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. We will definitely dine here again.

Meet family here on a random afternoon for lunch, and was pleasantly surprised. The portions are good and the food is quality. Not to mention, the price is less than expected for what you get.

It's a great place for a quick meal with friends in Gilroy. Would love to see more gluten-free options though.

Stopped here on our drive from SFO to Pinnacles NP. We obviously wanted garlic so we did it up. Garlic soup, garlic city burger, garlic fries. Would order it all again. The garlic soup is more complex and subtle than it sounds. The burger comes with whole cloves of garlic, and the chopped garlic is heaped on the fries. Exactly what we wanted.

Food was delicious, well made and very filing. Service is spectacular, any employee will help you in needed. The son (didn't get his name) helped me and my partner by showing us all tea options on a plate. Neither of us have experienced service like that. We appreciated it so much!

My husband ordered the Rebel Burger and I tried the Garlic chicken and eggplant panini. My husband really like the burger. The panini was really good but it would have been better if it was sun dried tomatoes instead of fresh tomatoes. We will definitely be back to try their breakfast menu.

This is a cute little place to get a delicious meal! Bring mints for after! Lol but man is it delicious!!! Highly recommend.

The Fiocchi Pasta is Unbelievably Delicious!! The food here is so fresh and the tapestry decor is so cute. We’ve come here several times and never been disappointed

I work close by and tend to order takeout from this restaurant about once a week. I find myself craving it! It's family owned and operated and the food is always delicious. Large portions for the price as well. They tend to have to go orders ready within 15 mins, 20 -25 if really busy. My favorite dish is the Italian Chicken Sandwich with Garlic fries. It comes with a grilled red bell pepper and a sun dried tomato pesto, along with the fresh, crisp produce and melted mozzarella cheese on a fresh french roll - it's to die for. The best chicken sandwich in the area!

Oh my goodness delicious! I am already plotting our second visit! I wanted to lick the plate clean! The calamari has a second sauce option (marinara with capers like sauce) that was completely off the hook beyond delicious! We have already picked friends to take back with us for the second visit :-) I am drooling just thinking about it! Everything was hot, fresh, and delightful!

When I first saw this place it seemed very small and more like a fast food type place but I was pleasantly surprised when the food arrived. The burger was huge and could of been shared. The fries were amazing! The calamari steak sandwich was delicious and so tender!! Fast & friendly service

12/10 recommend the fried artichoke, fiocchi pasta and tomatillo soup! Oh my gosh, food is so tasty!

A wonderful cafe with great omelettes. Very accommodating to our special order. The server was the owner and she is so sweet and goes the extra mile.

Garlic with garlic and more garlic! Haha perfect place for us to stop and have a quick bite. Was exactly what we were thinking of.

Had the garlic ice cream, was very well made!

All in all if you love garlic I would highly suggest this restaurant, but don’t expect anyone to come near you for at least 2 days! 😂
