cant believe ive lived in Porterville my whole life and never ate here till this year. we had a women's meeting in the back room and the young waitress did amazing !got the chicken wrap and was big and yummy! i told my husband who had never been there that i wanted to go again for breakfast . we went last weekend . and WOW! the French toast platter was delish! his food was great too ! his biscuit and gravy was huge ! great prices , great food ,clean bathrooms, clean dinning room friendly accommodating staff..our new favorite spot !

Soooo good! Our first time there was Tuesday morning. Around 10:30am. Not crowded. Love the calm atmosphere. The waitress was super friendly. Came by more than once to check on us. Food was amazing. Price is just right. The country potatoes were my favorite. Good cup of regular coffee, sugar, and cream. Parking lot filled up as we were leaving.

Excellent place to eat breakfast. I ordered the country style potatoes, eggs and bacon with a homemade biscuit and gravy. The biscuit was soo delicious and a meal in itself. The historical photos of Porterville on the walls are a nice touch for those interested in the history of the town as well. Great, friendly service as well. I highly recommend this place. You won't be disappointed.

I can't say enough about this place!! Passing through area and found RJs on google for breakfast! Food was delicious!! Our waiter, Chris was top knotch and the bacon!! Best bacon I've ever had! Seriously!! Get the bacon!! Thanks for the recommendations Chris! I'd give this place 6 stars if I could!!

Very good food, all of it was homemade and from local sources, you can tell it in the taste. The cook is fantastic 😊. We had a great breakfast.

I am giving this place five stars because six is not an option. Chris (our waiter) what a class act! Thank you sir! The food though, as if the service could be topped, everything my wife and I had was absolutely delicious! This was an unscheduled stop while passing through but a memorable one nonetheless!

The best French toast and the waitress was sweet and she always checked on us my mom loved her fried fish we will be back soon😁

Went for brunch super clean, they attended us fast , food was very good. This will be our go-to breakfast spot!

Had lunch there today with my brother and son, like always, food was delicious! Our waitress-Alicia was wonderful, friendly & sweet. Food came out hot and perfectly made! Atmosphere was welcoming and it felt just like home, conversations between strangers and ourselves felt nothing less than family conversing. Thank you!

Haven't ate here in a few years. Food was delicious! I tried the western omelette, it has bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, cheese and bacon. It came with country potatoes and a biscuit with gravy for sides. Those country potatoes were fire! Everything was so good. Went around 130p and it was not crowded at all. We got our food fast too.

Really great restaurant in a historic building. Food was delicious and nice portions. Excellent service was provided and the food and coffee were served HOT!

Cute little breakfast spot with lovely staff. Highly recommend the biscuits and gravy, the biscuits were soft and moist. The gravy was savory and filling.
Wouldn’t expect espresso based drinks but the coffee was good and kept flowing.

There are not enough good things you can say about RJ’s. Friendly service? They got it. Amazing food? Oh yeah. Some of the best pie you ever put in your mouth? You know it. I live in San Diego and come up to just get some of the best food you can get for breakfast in the valley. Shoot writing this has my mouth watering guess it’s time for a trip up.

What a complete and utter shame that it took me 9 years of driving by this place before I was finally able to go in!!! It took me riding a tcat bus from Lindsay 2 Porterville in a electric chair I should say an electric wheelchair! and when I was getting close I thought oh my goodness what if they don't have a ramp? Of course as I got closer I saw it and I was very happy. of all the times I've driven by it I was not in a position to experience it! But I knew as a professional restaurant consultant and owner of several restaurants that I wanted to go in. So finally the day came when I was able to be there and I met a wonderful staff including Amy our waitress and Leslie the cook and thoroughly enjoyed myself with the extreme success that they are worthy of, my care provider and I enjoyed the experience for at least 2 hours! As I said in the beginning it is a complete utter shame that I hadn't gone in there earlier. Now even when I am with someone in a car I will make the effort to stop by! By far my favorite breakfast is chicken-fried steak and eggs, and they were one of the best in all of the 1.2 million miles I had driven in my career! My constant search was for a great chicken fried steak and egg breakfast which is how I started my day as often as I could. I can go on and on and on and on about this place. But I'll end by saying get in there and get this local business all of the extreme success that they are worthy of and this community! I will add a picture as soon as possible. Go in and enjoy this place while you are there you will be glad you did

Good food and delicious. Went there few times and service is good and food is also good. New owners but will keep most of the same items from what i hear. New owners owns the General restaurants in town and also in Delano.

Employees there are very friendly, made us feel like family. Love to go there when I can.
