My first time here. Nice big portions. Its one of the more expensive mexican places ive eaten at so im glad i got to take half my food home for tomorrows lunch.

Can't say enough good things about this place! Stopped by on a whim passing through on way home from camping. Food was excellent with large portions. Came to table piping hot! Sauce was sweetly unique on the enchiladas. Service was outstanding. Waitress kept our iced tea full and even gave us to go cups. What we didn't finish was packed nicely to bring home. Place had plenty of seating and was very clean. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but go inside and you'll be pleasantly surprised. Again can't say enough about the attentive service! Will be stopping by again next time we pass through. Keep up the good work guys!!!

Their salsa is one of the best that I have enjoyed. I had the chicken enchiladas with the red sauce, which was a bit sweet. Rice & beans were yum!

I had the wet chicken burrito it was on point! Sauce is sweet but it goes with it and the chicken is pretty good too. There are times though the chicken can be dry which makes it hard to chew. Either way it's a great place to eat depending what you like.

One of our favorite place to go to for Mexican food. I get so many different items here bit har the flan today and Chili verde w rice and beans. Flan was okay.

Hands down...one of the best places to eat in porterville! My wife and I drive from Visalia when we are craving shrimp. Their #24, the garlic shrimp (I believe it's the camarones mojo de ajo), is AMAZING!!!

Always enjoy coming here. Nobody beats their chips and salsa, and barbacoa.

The food is usually the best authentic Mexican food around. I purchased a tamale with rice and beans, the masa on the tamale was hard as a rock and unable to chew. I’ll give them another shot because of the other hundred times I’ve eaten there the food was delicious.

Food delish waiter Alex cute and awesome. We had a large group and everything was great. Five (5) stars all the way. Thanks El Tap your about the only reason I go to Porterville.

Hands down best place to eat in PORTERVILLE. If your a local then you already know. If your here visiting, you need to get down there and find out, you will not be disappointed. El Tap is a local legend. Iconic in its own right. Always great. Perfect for a quick bite or for a big group gathering. They accommodate everyone. Highly recommend.

This is my favorite restaurant in Porterville. I love the sweet savory enchilada sauce. I live in the Bay Area. When I go to Porterville, I buy several quarts of enchilada sauce and a dozen enchiladas to take home.

Great food, great drinks, great price. The staff are always pleasant and quick, the food is always served fresh and hot. You'll get the most bang for your buck here and have a great time doing it!

Visited El Tapatio restaurant for the 1st time recently
Wow what a wonderful surprise. Everything was great, the service was really fast and friendly. The food was delicious there rice and beans were the best I've ever!!!! Portions were generous and the food was so hot and fresh we had to wait a bit before we could eat. We will definitely come back.

Moved away from California in 2001, and have lived in Kansas since then. I DREAM of El Tap constantly! The food is the Best and the sweet red sauce is so amazing! Brought my husband in 2016 and it was our first stop. He loved it! I wish I could have it shipped here to Kansas!

Best enchiladas ever! 😋 The rice is also amazing and fluffy and the beans are cheesy goodness. Every thing I've tasted is amazing. I've been visiting this family-owned restaurant for many years and the quality has consistently been delicious and the serving sizes are a large portion. 😋 Excellent service too! Must try the food here! So delicious! 😋👍🏾

El tap is hands down the best Mexican food in Porterville. It is well worth the price, there is NO better salsa in town and I will always consider this my favorite place to eat while visiting.
