Very friendly staff. I must have been asked politely 5 times if I could be helped finding something. When it was determined that they don't carry what I was looking for, a suggestion to visit a specific specialty store was given.

Clean, bright, and organized store. Nice big display of on-sale and featured Dewalt items.

An update for those of you interested in shopping building repairing improving or evolving, Blackwood Building Supplies has it all. I went in to buy some sandpaper to do some hobby projects and left with a pair of gloves that were a fraction of the cost at Mark's Work Warehouse or Rona. These are the kind of gloves that are polymer based for gripping but mesh on top so that they can actually breathe. This is the only place I've been able to find gloves that actually fit and that was a relief. Now my tiny hands can do big work. And wouldn't you know it guess who was working until Shelly again and it's nice to be remembered and appreciated as a customer someone that laughs a little bit too loud in the store without being admonished LOL.

Shelly was not only helpful to find the speed square and the pencil I was looking for but she pointed out the value of having a good exacto knife. She seemed very understanding of my Pivot from the kitchen to the construction site and it was a delight talking to someone that actually understood why and took the time to listen and understand. Blackwood Building Supplies is the go-to for anything that you need.

Family Friendly service that you don't get with any other Big Box hardware store. That is why I go to Blackwood Home Hardware, the friendly welcoming staff that are always willing to lend a hand with a smile.

The best staff. Super helpful. Great collection of most things you'll need for your house maintenance and home improvement project. This is an excellent location too with good parking and easily accessible loading zone

Elmer @ Blackwood Building Centre helped us diagnose what was happening with our hot water tank, suggested a pressure gauge for water psi during a City of Abbotsford water issue. Saved us some money which we really appreciated. Thanks Elmer!!

Want people who care? Want service with a smile? Want great selection and great prices? Pop by Blackwoods and get all that and more. Easy access, decent parking lot, although it can get very busy. Great selection of building supplies and a clean store that even had patron bathrooms.

I arrived 45 minutes before they opened (6:15 AM). 8 minutes later one of the owners drove in, came directly to my car and asked me what I needed. I told him my basement flooded and I was waiting for them to open to get a sump pump.

He told me to come inside and directed me to the isle I needed while he turned on the lights. The tills weren’t open but he found a manual credit card processor (I haven’t seen one of these in a decade!) and got me going.

Thank you to the Conrad’s and Blackwood Home Hardware. You are an asset to the community! I could not have received this kind of service from any of the big box DIY stores. I look forward to being your patron for many years

Great selection, knowledgeable staff, locally owned too!!

Twilight zone moment this morning. Picked up a few things in the back lot, asked if I could drive around and pay at the front counter as I needed to load some bagged soil. Nope. Gotta pay at the back cashier first. Fair enough, going by the rules. Said I'm in here all the time. The reply I got was priceless."I've worked here for 25 years and I've never seen you before". I'm in there at the very least twice a week, some weeks every day. It's been my go to place for the LAST 10 YEARS and if I could add up the receipts, I've no doubt it would be well over 60,000! I'm sure not much by some standards, but...Other than Mr. Gruff, who I have seen many times over the years, this is still the most helpful and friendly of local hardware stores. Will always recommend.

Had a great experience every time I visited this place. I could easily find what I was looking for. The things shown online available at this location matched the site inventory. Very nice home decor area right at the entrance with unique, beautiful items. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Definitely my place to go for my home projects needs.

This place is awesome. The people here are knowledgable, patient, and always around to help you. I prefer this place to some of the big box stores. Always have what I want and if they do not have it they know how to get it. GREAT STORE to look around in.

The staff are knowledgeable and trustworthy. If one of them isn't 100% sure of the answer, they are happy to get someone who knows. This is the only building/hardware store from which I make purchases.

Absolutely amazing service! Al ( Alan) is a top shelf man! You are lucky to have such a great employee!...We looked everywhere for Milwaukee M18 Fuel products.. Not only was the service mentioned above but, they also had the best prices that we found!

Staff was so amazingly helpful. I have a 5 month old puppy in training who IS potty trained, but took it upon himself to take a nice poop 15 seconds after walking into the store even though I made sure he went before we left home. The ladies had already put my items on hold for me as I’d called that morning and they were low in stock of what I wanted. They saw me on my hands and knees cleaning the floor and rushed to bring me paper towels and Lysol.

This is the best home improvement/hardware store bar none. I live a bit of a distance away, but every time I go in, I have such an awesome experience that I can't imagine ever going anywhere else.
In addition to their great prices, the staff are welcoming, helpful & kind. I highly recommend supporting this wonderful local business.
