Rancher Motel-Cafe

Good food, good prices, one of the better options for food that exists in Delta. A great place to hang out and drink coffee or have a burger. Its been around for a long time. It is a cafe that feels like going back in time 30 years which is part of its appeal. They have a salad bar.

This was one of the only options coming across Nevada into Utah. It was a great choice! Parking lot was full of locals, you knew it was gonna be a solid choice. We had steak and potatoes and salad bar.

I love the Rancher 🤤 it's another restaurant that feels like home. The Chicken Malibu is out of this world delicious with the best Honey mustard and breakfast is always a good choice here. Good coffee , Great hot chocolate with whipped cream. The salad/ soup bar is so yummy and price is fair. They have yummy hand cut fries . The nice staff always keeps the drinks coming I never had to ask for a refill. The coffee bar was popping with the towns news it truly feels like home.. I wish I could just live at the Rancher I stop every time I am in the Delta/ Millard Area.

We had dinner at the cafe. We have been there before and great food and a friendly environment. Always so nice and polite to us when we are in town.

Never stayed in the motel part cause I live here however the cafe is one of my favorite restaurants in town. The food is great. I prefer any breakfast, the burgers, chicken fried steak, pies and more but especially the scones! Good prices w/ good food.

Food is fantastic. People are super nice. It’s almost worth going to Delta just for this place.

Only eating here not staying here. Definitely where the elite meet to eat in the greater Delta metropolitan area. Food and service are the best in town. I like the Rancher restaurant for breakfast better than dinner but have eaten dinner here as well. At breakfast the servers are super nice and the food is awesome. Dinners are good as well. If you are staying in Delta, this is THE place for breakfast, except on Sundays when they are closed. There are other options in town for dinner but most menus are fairly simple and limited. The Rancher has the most varied(choices) dinner menu of all of them. The strawberry and raspberry jams are the best. Also, a great place to hang out with really nice local folks and get all the news and happenings in Delta. Every morning a bunch of guys eat breakfast here (same crowd mostly). They sit at the bar and pick around, tell stories, and swap lies. It is a great atmosphere and a great bunch of folks. Really nice small town folks.

Probably the best meal I had while I was in Utah. We got breakfast in the afternoon. Everything was so good. I will be back next time I am in town. 10/10 I do recommend.

Went to the Cafe not the motel. We ate there twice. First time for lunch next day, breakfast. I need to remember to take pictures! Lunch: I had the hot beef on toast with mashed potatoes and gravy. OMG!! So So So Good 😊
My Dad had the Denver omelet, he said that it was one of the best he has ever had.

The restaurant was so good...

Very cool authentic American diner. Filled with locals, fantastic staff and nicely priced good food. It is an experience and the food is great.

I love this diner. Every time I'm in Delta, or pass through, I stop here. Excellent food and amazing service! I've never been disappointed!

The Denver omelette plate, and the eggs and bacon plate are incredible. they did it to go order for us, and even made it egg whites upon request. Food was incredible staff were super friendly. Highly recommend.

Well worth a stop if you are ever passing through Delta. Great food and prices that you won’t find anywhere else these days. Service was excellent as well in the classic small town diner way.

I travel for work 8 days on 7 days off to be exact, so I frequent hotels. We had a reservation mishap on a room where previous occupants didn't move out. So we were unable to get room we had reserved. What was impressive is the way management bent over backwards to make things right. I will definitely return thank you. Cafe is very convenient, good service, and food is what you would expect from a small town.

The epitome of a small town diner. I went there two days in a row for breakfast before heading out to sample the usual silicified faunas. Friendly waitstaff, generous portions, good food, and fair prices. That and the old regulars: the rural Utah clientele one comes to expect from such establishments. Wonderful, homey, and plenty of food to start off a day in the desert.

Salad bar makes this one of the best places to eat in town.

Low cost. simple, clean rooms. Shockingly low priced meals (and beers!). An excellent, quiet respite for any traveler or desert rat in need of a shower, a real bed, and a meal that doesn't come from a MRE box. I stayed here on a whim as I was late heading into the west desert. Did not feel like driving around in the dark to find my planned campsite.
I freely admit I was expecting side-eye glances at the obvious, scruffy-looking stranger in town, but I have never been more wrong in my life.
Not only was the staff extremely friendly and helpful, I was astounded at the low cost of everything involved. These folks actually apologized that they only had a double occupancy room left that night and would have to charge me a bit more. (I showed up around 1900 out of the blue with no reservation) Turns out the "bit more" was a mere 10$. All said and done, a room for the night, a massive home-style hot dinner, four beers, a pitcher of ice tea, and a full breakfast the following morning cost me a TOTAL of 60$. I was actually embarrassed by the amazing service, simple but extremely clean rooms, and outstanding meals, I tipped accordingly. The chain hotel up the street wanted 125$ a night just for a room...and wanted me to make a phone reservation...from my cell...while in their lobby...
For my 2020 trip to Millard county, I plan to stay at the Rancher around twice a week or so during my 3 week expedition, just to recover from the extreme solo camping and fossil hunting mid-July in Millard County has to offer.

I kid you not, this place is that good!

Now if you are a stereotypical tourist type that can't live without your wifi and soft-core on Cinemax, you will probably whine and complain like some of the other reviewers. For you folks, I suggest the chain hotel up the street.

Great food! The country fried steak is real country fried steak, not the garbage other restaurants serve. The servers were great as well. Will definitely go back.
