Roots 89 Grill

I recently dined at this restaurant, and it was an absolute delight. From start to finish, the experience was memorable. Let me break down what made it so fantastic:

Beverages:
The raspberry shake was divine. It was thick, creamy, and bursting with the fresh flavor of raspberries. It's an excellent choice for anyone with a sweet tooth.
The root beer float was equally great. The fizzy root beer paired perfectly with the creamy vanilla ice cream. It's a classic treat that never disappoints.

Main Course:
The hamburgers were a highlight of the meal. They were juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The ingredients were fresh, and you could tell they put thought into crafting each burger.
If you're a fan of cheese curds, you absolutely must try the garlic cheese curds. They're the perfect balance of crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside. The subtle hint of garlic takes them to the next level.

Sides:
The poutine here is a must-try. The rich, savory gravy over the crispy fries and melty cheese curds is a taste sensation. I wish I could have it every day with how much I enjoyed it.
Service and Presentation:

The service was quick and efficient. Our drinks and shakes came out first, followed shortly by our food. It was evident that the staff took pride in ensuring we had a seamless dining experience.
What truly stood out was the attention to presentation. Each dish was plated beautifully, and you could see the effort put into making the meal not only delicious but visually appealing as well.

Ambiance:
The restaurant's vintage setting on the main street in an old building with hardwood, squeaky floors adds a unique and nostalgic touch to your dining experience.

Staff Friendliness:
The staff was not only efficient but also friendly and prompt, making us feel at home.
Cleanliness and Hygiene:

It felt very clean inside, with tables wiped down meticulously. I didn't notice any spills or crumbs on the tables anywhere. This attention to detail only added to the overall positive impression of the restaurant.
The next time we visit, we can't wait to try another shake – their menu has us intrigued – and for sure, we'll be getting another order of the poutine, which was a highlight of our meal. It's a place we'll want to visit again and again. I can't wait to return and explore more of their offerings, enjoying both the food and the lovely ambiance. My visit was a delightful experience, and I look forward to many more in the future.

We came in from Grantsville Utah. Found this place when searching for restaurants in the area. Glad we came here! The food was amazing! I had the 89 burger and my wife had the bison burger. So delicious! Highly recommend.The staff was awesome! Treated us very well. Would definitely come back when we’re out this way again

This is THE BEST place to get a burger 🍔 so much meat and goodness! Plus their new shake… OH.. MY.. GOODNESS!! So stinking good!! I highly recommend this to anyone and everyone!! Roots 89 Grill you guys are the best! 💕🍔🍟🍦

I recommend this place. If you are in the area. You can even sit outside and eat. They come out with it when your food is ready.

Burgers are juicy and full of flavor. You won't find creamier milkshakes ANYWHERE. And the portions for the sides are massive (and very tasty). Roots leaves me feeling very satisfied. Expect to request a to-go container before you leave!

The staff are friendly and helpful. Some places the employees have a vibe of hating their job or just being bored. The two times I've been here they have been welcoming.

Roots is a Sanpete staple. Great food, good service. Logan is one of the cooks and all I can say is he serves up a pretty great burger! 🍔

The food was really good! The cheese curds and pouting were really good. The entire family really enjoyed it. We will definitely stop in when we are in the area!

Quaint little spot in Spring City. Reminiscent of an old soda fountain shop complete with amazing, delicious food. The ice cream was above and beyond creamy and satisfying.
We had a fairly large group and the staff was so kind and patient with us and our large orders.

When Roots 89 Grill first opened we gave the place a try. Service and atmosphere very good, the food was a bit shakey. Burgers were way overcooked. Over time the menu has grown, the food is very good now. Last visit I tried the "Chicago Daug"... was great. Loved all the fix'ns, the peppers and pickles especially. Going for lunch today and trying the daug with the ghost peppers. The wife had a burger last time and said much improved. Most likely she will do the same again... burgers are her "go to" lunch item. Only thing I did want to mention (to management) the hotdogs you're using are full of flavor, very good... However (saw that coming did you?) might want to find a thicker hotdog if possible of the same brand.

The burgers were fantastic, the fries perfect, and the shake (red velvet cookie) scrumptious.

Had lunch there today. Our group tried burgers, cheese curds, sweet potato tots, ice cream and shakes. We recommend all of it. Service was excellent.

Great place to eat in Sanpete county! Food is cooked to order, so might take a few minutes to get it. But definitely worth the wait! It's nice to have such a great place in small town of Spring City. Plenty of seating outside with some shade. Yummy place to get ice cream too.

Hidden gem!!! Cool old soda fountain with great burgers, rosemary fries, shakes, and more. We will definitely be stopping by here again.

We love eating here! The burgers are delicious and reasonably priced for how large they are! The sweet potato fries and regular fries are always really good as well. Definitely our favorite place in Sanpete county if we are still wanting burgers! The ambiance is nice as well and in the summer they have a nice area for eating outside. Definitely recommend!!!

Really great small cafe/soda shop. We even went in right before closing and they were still nice (tho I don't recommend that.) Had a grilled chicken sandwich and it was very good! They also have beer-battered onion rings and sweet potato tots with caramel and marshmallow dipping sauces, soda and ice cream.

Fantastic food and friendly service. Everything was absolutely amazing. Can't wait to return to try additional items on their menu.

Roots 89 Grill is so delicious. We were visiting friends and family in Springville UT. If you are ever in the area east of Spanish fork check out Roots. I had the 89 Burger, rosemary fries and garlic cheese curds. This place has everything you need in a classic diner and the garlic cheese curds are delicious. I love this quaint little diner and the owners are so nice! Also the ice-cream and shakes are delicious 😋 I had pumpkin spice ice-cream my son had a Kit Kat shake. So good!

By far our favorite burger joint in the valley. Patty Melt was money.
