The escape room was very well done.
The challenge course was exactly that.
We found a coin worth 1000$ while treasure hunting along the well placed disc golf course. I got a bullseye at the archery range but don't think I could bring home dinner if I had to. The axe throwing was pretty awesome
But the 10 zip line tour was the best. Our guides made it a lot of fun. Worth the upgrade from the 6 line.
The gold panning was intense(watch the tutorial for the gold finding hints)
And the beads for the arrowhead necklace are a nice touch.wish I saw which ones were for what.
Did I mention the pizza delivered to the campsite for dinner on the high adventure weekend was outstanding? No that probably because I was waiting to talk about it after I said the American coffee I ordered in the souvenir cup was also delivered to the campsite the next morning.

And I didn't even bring the kids this time!
That's one of the best vacations I've ever had.

The staff was super welcoming so I decided to stay an extra day.
So much fun.
Bring apples for sasquatch hunting!

Almost forgot to shout out about the tye dye shirt making in the arts and crafts tent.
Camp logo IS on the shirt you dye up.

Camp Dakota is an excellent place to get in touch with the outdoors with friends and family. We enjoyed the zip-line, paintball, gettyball, and the various other adventure courses!

My zip line tour experience at Camp Dakota was a true blast and a half! I haven’t been on a zip line in at least ten years… I was terrified my first time, and less terrified this time but certainly nervous. Fortunately, between my tour guides and all the gear/equipment, I knew I was so safe and supported the whole time. My guides made me feel super comfortable with their thoughtfulness, communication, knowledge, good spirits, and playful humor. In their own delightful and quirky ways, Youngblood, Zen and Kiwi were all such a pleasure to interact with. One would be lucky to have any of them as a guide, and Camp Dakota itself was a really cool, dare I say magical, environment. Seeing it from way up in the trees was such a treat! I will certainly be back for more adventures at Camp Dakota. Wish I could leave more than a five star review.

Thanks, gang! See you next time.
Stay stellar. ⋆✩°。⋆*⋆。°✩⋆

So much fun! Campgrounds are clean, staff are friendly and helpful, lots of activities for all ages and fitness levels. We've been here twice and can't wait to come back! Tent cabins are the way to go! We loved having Zen and Kicks as I our zipline and ropes challenge guides. The disc golf course is not the best and the playground really only has a swing set and a small playhouse but those are minor complaints. I think they usually have sales in April so you should make your summer plans then to save some money. We stayed in cabin 41. It was nice but be aware that it's kind of steep getting to the cabin from where you park your car. We'll be back sooner than later 😊

I was visiting from out of state and had Camp Dakota recommended to me by a friend. I have local family and brought them out there to Zipline & Paintball! We had so much fun! The ref was AWESOME and really kept an eye on everything. Then we had 2 amazing guides for the ziplines. They kept us so safe, and really helped with the anxiety for me and one other group member who don't like heights. The experience was so memorable for a day trip and absolutely worth it! Our guides were Gizmo & Kicks, they were so amazing.

Overall great experience. We stayed in one of their large yurts. The yurt left a bit to be desired as mattresses were old, the floor was wavy (imagine waves on the ocean) and it needs more outlets. Our site 15 was decently sized as most locations here were. There was one picnic table we had to exchange on our own. It was old and broken when we got there then were told ir would be replaced. Never was so we carried one from another areas to our campsite. They have running water around the entire park. The port a potties are cleaned twice a day week so they’re good 2 of the 3 days they aren’t be cleaned. The last day usually before the clean out is the worst. But they do clean them daily and empty them twice a week.

The propane grill we had wasn’t the greatest they really need to power wash them and replace parts. There was propane but the grills had no starter(lighter provided) and the burners need to be replaced/cleaned.

The covered area for them was nice but I will say the entire yurt moved when someone walked around these severely need to be reinforced or the supports need to be replaced. I saw some not so to code ways of supporting them.

The fireplace inside was used and kept things warm. I do wish there was a way to vent the yurt.

The staff here is awesome. They were always friendly with the kids and adults and either like what they’re doing or are just good people I think a little of both.

The store they have on site has everything you need and lore. I do with their pizza ordering was a little later but they offer that at any time of the day as well as coffee orders for the morning. Just nice touches.

Overall this place is great kids had a blast and so did adults. It’s pricey and I wish it wasn’t so dusty everywhere but it’s very nice out there. Get some more Wi-Fi around the place or offer tvs with a dvd player and rentals for those shorter days of the year when stuff isn’t available and you’re trying to stay dry.

My husband had broke his hip but was able to be mobile enough to enjoy watching the grandkids enjoy themselves. He could still cook. So he was our chef. The yurt we had rented had a close bathroom and a ramp for easy access. The camp itself is well layed out for activities.

The porta potties were cleaned daily and were clean. The campsites were spacious and there were so many activities we did. Shooting bow and arrow, and axe throwing are free with the wrist band and I did so many rounds of that along with the rock wall. Ziplines were awesome and we got 10 zips. Our guides were extremely helpful and all-around great funny people. Some of the awesome people running this were Johnny Quest, Zen, and Gizmo and they were so helpful and they made the experience way more fun.

Such an awesome place for an adventure! Come to campa and stay for the activities! Paint ball, jelly ball, archery, axe throwing, an escape room, arts and crafts, gold panning, obstacle courses and zip lines! I'm sure I'm forgetting something. There are regular camp sites but also yurts and cabin tents. A good time was had by all even though it was 100 degrees and smoky!

I cannot say enough good things about Camp Dakota! We spent the week of the 4th of July there and had a blast! From the spacious campsites to the well stocked camp store, we needed for nothing. It really lives up to its name... adventure camp! We did not need to leave the campground at all and still had plenty to do! While we really enjoyed the rock climbing, archery, gold panning, and such, my kids really loved the challenge courses and gellyball best! The staff was always friendly and helpful, from start to finish.

I want to give a shout out to one particular staffer...Rerun! He was beyond amazing with my kids during the challenge courses! My kids are 17 and 8, both have anxiety, and both emotionally broke down at the same time, stuck high above the ground. Rerun was running back and forth between the adult course and the kid course to help them anyway he could. He had all the patience of a saint and the encouragement of a therapist, always with a reassuring smile on his face. My oldest said she would not have made it through without him. He put on his gear and climbed up there in a flash to help her! Rerun, you were our savior that day!!

I have no complaints, only a couple of suggestions. First, I understand that the camp is geared toward able bodied adventurers. The camp isn't huge and walking from the camp sites at the back is doable for the abled bodied. But a few parking spots near the activities would have been very helpful to those with limited mobility, like me. Secondly, I wished the challenge courses came with gloves. My daughter walked away from that with hands full of blisters.

Thank you, Camp Dakota, for one of the most successful family vacations yet!!!!

There are so many different options for camping. Most of the single tent sites were very large in comparison to most other places I have camped. Endless activities for all ages, excellent place if you enjoy camping and have high energy kids. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Will be returning at some point without the child for some potential day use.

We came to throw Jo’s (ex)girlfriend a surprise party, but “she couldn’t make it.” So we decided to make this break a body painting exercise on the paintball course. What a fantastic time with solid homies and a great staff. Definitely recommend Camp Dakota’s beautiful camp ground for some good old fashion time in the woods!

Our family of 6 stayed overnight and had plenty of activities to do all day long. Paintballing in the woods to rock wall climbing and ax throwing. We ended the evening with a fire pit and smores . Recommend for entire family (they even have pizza and delivery to your tent!)

We had an amazing multi-family camping trip here this summer! The kids range from 5 to teen and every one of them had a blast with all of the activities that they offer. The highlight was zip lining… wow! They really make it fun! It’s not just a boring zip line experience, they give you fun challenges with each zip, like doing a dance, yelling a line from your favorite movie, trying out a trick, etc. The kids also loved the panning for gold and the rock climbing wall (pictured). We will definitely be back next year!

This was just great! The staff is wonderful, the kids have lots of activities to do and there are all kinds of camping set ups. We got the yurt with air hockey and foosball in it. That was fun, since the rain kept coming and going.

We camp in a trailer, though there are no effluent hookups at this site - however out houses are cleaned often. We were also able to have our septic pumped by sewage company which comes twice weekly. A little expensive, but staff was great, and my family had a fantastic time!

We stayed here this weekend (July 9-11, 2021). I can't believe I didn't take any photos! We completely unplugged from technology and spent time with family!

To the person thinking about staying here: DO IT! It's beautiful, clean and the staff are so friendly. There's a ton of things to do there..We were only there for the weekend (so Saturday was our only day to explore). We did the gold panning, since our children were too young for anything else. You get credit when you make a reservation, which really helped reduce the price of activities. Definitely book a trip here!

To the owner: Thank you for a great experience! Your campground is clean and I really like the rules of quiet after 10pm. The staff in the office on Saturday (July 10, 2021) were so amazing! They were friendly and made us feel so welcome. I make memory quilts and plan to come every year for a new shirt for the family quilt. My only complaint is: check in is super late at 3pm, I totally understand why but my kids were up at 5am, ready to go and so excited, so waiting until 3 was really hard... because of the late check in, we really only had 1 day to explore and I feel like we lost a day. Thank you again! We forgot to turn in the paper for the beads, which was a bummer... so we will be back next year to do that! Haha

Overall, I would definitely recommend this camp! I'm from Springfield and it's a 2 hour drive. It's about an hour from Salem! It's wonderful having a camp so close :)
