KMS Tools & Equipment

This is one of my go to places for my wood working and metal working needs. What makes it so is the staff who are more than willing to assist. Whether its showing them a image from their website or describing what I am looking for I usually get to the product that works for me.

It's great to have a KMS on Vancouver Island now. I live in Port Alberni and don't like ordering online if I can help it.

I’ve purchased most of my tools and supplies from these guys and the staff is very very helpful.

I had a tone of question about a Mikita Electric chainsaw and replacement chains and Chris was able to handle all my concerns and helped me into a father's day special. Chris has unreal product knowledge.

Very straight forward as usual transaction at the checkout counter. I never feel "rushed" at KMS.

Came into this store today and met Jonathon in hand tools. He was awesome ;his. Customer service skills are top notch. Very helpful in finding the right socket for my bolt.Went in for one item came out with two. Thank you Jonathon

If you find a old man by the name Trojan, he is the man. Not only did he direct me to other stores where I can find my item but he called them, gave them measurements and made sure they had some in stock before sending me over.

KMS is my preferred tool store and I’m seldom let down.

Awesome store. The new location is giant. Everyone is super friendly and if they cant help you specifically, they'll point you in the direction of someone who can. The show and shine on Friday nights is such a treat to see and i love that they have smokies by donation during it

KMS is an excellent place to buy all your tools!

KMS's new location/building is much improved over the old one near Mount Lehman. If I'm looking for specialty tools or equipment, it'll be my first choice.

I haven't been to a kms store but I placed an order online recently. I had gift cards but I forgot to include them in my order. Customer service were excellent and fixed the problem for me without having to reorder. Five stars because good service is rare these days. The website is fairly basic but it's good enough.

Huge new store. Immense amount of selection!

I went in looking for a pressure washer and left knowing more about them than I ever imagined. Very happy with the service and price.

I usually go here to buy most of my sandpaper and small things as well as tools ,,keeping an eye of course on the great sales they always have ,,the tool business is tough these days I imagine with the big box stores but the selection is better at kms and I dont nickel and dime them when the sales are on. ,,,the new store is great, I guess I'm just weird but I regularly go on the best tool websites to find out what tools are up and coming especially from Makita and Milwaukee, I do find many times I quiz staff about a tool I've read up on to see if they'll get it but they haven't heard of it, I blame this on the manufacturer, for a place like KMS tools they should have some sort of alert system where they get updated ASAP.

If you know what you are looking for, there are deals to be had. I got a AC Recharge $40 and was able to save $$ recharging my car AC system. First time using it and it was super easy. I like the look of the old car and the feel of a neighborhood store. Sadly, they are moving next to Abbotsford Costco, sure a high traffic foot print but it will be sadly missed. Always be a loyal customer - reminds me a lot of Princess AUTO.

Always a good selection of high quality tools and the service is down-to-earth, friendly and very helpful. (Compare this to a place like Home Depot where you'd be lucky to find someone to help, and when you do, the product knowledge might be lacking).

Brand new store. Much larger and open compared to the other one.
Inventory is well organized and beautifully displayed.
Once people know about this place I imagine it will be very busy.
Pity about the timing with COVID, I suppose.
I hope that they can hang in until that passes.

Biggest selection of Wera products I've ever seen. Knowledgeable staff about the product as well. Abbotsford kms is their flagship location for this product.
