Rockton Mountain Trails

Late June is so beautiful with all mountain laurel blossoms.

Did they larger loop then headed down Overland trail to Hyde where we parked another car to shuttle back.12.87 miles in total .

Totally cool, great trail's very beautiful. Great for hiking. Just take the tick spray. Lot's of wildlife especially deer.

Absolutely wonderful experience hiking in these majestic trails. A must see experience.....Take lots of water

Great place to take a short to medium hike

Rockton mountain has numerous beautiful and well marked trails to explore. Boasts a good degree of difficulty variation for mountain bikers.

Well blazed trail system. Terrain is rather flat, no major climbs. There are some rocky technical sections that provide a chance for a challenge. Plenty of ways to make loops of an hour or less. Unlimited potential for primitive backpacking. No established sites. Mountains bikes are welcome! Cross country skiing too. Winter access is pretty good except during the worst of storms. There are never any maps in the mailbox. Take a photo at trailhead or stop by the Moshannon State Forest Headquarters for a great paper map.
