We stayed at Red Rock in the past under the prior ownership, the experience under the new owners was 100x better.

We stayed at cabin #15, it was spacious and it accommodated myself, my husband, and our two pups.

The owners were super friendly and easy to reach (we even locked ourselves out of our cabin). They also made a point to check on us to see how everything was. Very kind people.

Their new 6-month-old campground pup “Spot” is a lovely touch to the camping experience. He is so well-behaved. He may pop by and say hello - he loves all the belly rubs and playtime with other puppies!

Our one pup can be little dog selective and was apprehensive about Spot but the owners made sure to leash him or take him inside when our pup was outside.

Thank you so much for the great stay and experience!

Nice place to stay and owners are very accommodating!!! Even delivered our wood to our site :) and let us borrow a plug to convert to regular plugs :) Firewood price is amazing 10.00 for a huge load. Had a fire going 4 hours and still had wood left !!

We will definitely be coming back next season! We had a lovely long weekend at one of their many tent sites, in the wooded area. The sites were spacious and came with a picnic table and fire pit. The campgrounds had nice shared bathrooms and dishwashing station!
The owners are very helpful, friendly, and easy to reach. Their hospitality pushed our satisfaction with our stay over the top.

While we were out hiking it started to rain pretty hard and we returned back to camp to find that the owners had covered our belongings with a tarp so they would not get wet. This was just one of the many kind and pleasant experiences my family and I had while visiting Red Rock Mountain Campground. I highly recommend staying here, the cabins were very clean and the bath house was nice and comfortable to shower in. Only a few minutes from Ricketts Glenn , this place is a hidden gem. Thank you again for the wonderful stay we enjoyed meeting you guys , your great son and Spot the greatest campground puppy out there !

My wife and I stayed here Labor Day weekend with our two pups. It was great! Perfect location to the park and quiet. The campground is under new ownership and the new owners are super friendly and nice. They are working on fixing everything up but all was in working order! Will be back

My family and I had such a great time here! So close to lake Jean and Ricketts trails... Our cabin was clean and cozy, with a big area outside for our firepit chills... The owners were sooooo nice! They have an awesome flea market with anything you could imagine! We're definitely going back to the beautiful red rock mountain campground!! Thank you so much for everything!!

I am late posting this - but I LOVED staying at this campground. It was spacious and had great spots (I stayed at 14). We had plenty of space to sprawl out and brought our camper van. I enjoyed speaking with the man at the front desk (I think his name was Sean?), he was very pleasant and gave us a free bottled drink upon our arrival. I NEEDED it! The stars were beautiful and the bathrooms were good. I am hoping to return to this campground in the future!

Wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. The hosts are outstandingly hospitable and go out of their way to make sure campers are well taken care of. Above and beyond!

I am so thankful we stayed at this campground! My husband, dog, & I stayed in Site 5…which is a primitive site. It was so perfect. Huge space, quiet, and clean. You have a large fire pit and picnic table to use. You have to cross a tiny stream to get to the primitive tent sites, which was perfect for getting the “backwoods camping” feel without actually doing it (I have no desire to do that but the hubby does so this was a great compromise). it’s a short walk to the campsite itself. Site 5 is the farthest away, the other primitive sites are slightly closer. Jeff (owner) was prompt to returning my texts and was appreciative of our business. He made sure we were happy with our site & had what we needed for the stay. The bathrooms/showers on site were clean & decorated for fall. There was extra shampoo & toiletries should someone need them. Being minutes away from Ricketts Glen & the falls trail system, I would much rather stay here and have more privacy & space. Not to mention, there is WiFi & cell service should you need it! I was very impressed with this campground & the tent site locations.

Nice privately owned campground with a friendly staff and nice tent sites. We stayed at a walk-in site..also called a primitive site. It was well kept and spaced nicely from neighboring sites. The bathroom situation was also a pleasure to use. Men's facility had plenty of showers and toilet facilities that were well maintained. Fire wood is supplied in site for a fee. It was very convenient. We stayed for three nights and had a lovely time. Would definitely recommend for any tent camper heading to the Ricketts Glenn area.

On a road trip from Alabama to Maine and tried to get in at Rickets but they were full. And I'm am happy it was! Site #4 is off in the woods with nice privacy and large camp area. Everyone at the other sites were super nice and it was just a great vibe!

We loved our tent camping experience at Red Rock Mountain Camping. We were welcomed and given our choice of the open camp sites. The site we chose was beautiful and secluded, so we weren't right on top of our neighbors. The price was very reasonable and the firewood was great quality and the bathrooms were meticulously maintained. Plus this site is just minutes from Ricketts Glen State Park. We will definitely come back here again.

Recommend from a friend. Can't beat $35, a night with a full hook up and $7 for a huge crate of wood! Went to hike at rickets Glen and stayed here over night after. The staff was very helpful and nice. We will be coming back!!

LOVE THIS CAMPGROUND!! Been coming here for 7 years. It has great secluded tent sites. A creek for the kids to explore and play in. And a bath house with bathrooms. Beautiful area-very peaceful! And very close to Ricketts Glen.

Wooded campsites far from your neighbors, rustic feel, clean bathrooms, friendly check in process, and close to the park made for a great weekend. Only downside is road traffic noise and the buildings have seen better days, but our campsite made up for all of that!
