Julie Adams-DeFord was the attorney who drafted my Parents’ wills and POA documents. As the Personal Representative on both of their estates I chose Julie as the attorney to guide me through the probate process to administer the estate and the legal requirements for sale of the estate residence. Although it started out to be as simple as wading through the legal terms & requirements, degrading relationships between family members (and disagreement over what was stated in the will) turned things into a very difficult 2-year journey. Julie Adams-DeFord provided invaluable support to me as I navigated the legal aspects and the complexity of how to handle the conflict as well as protect myself from personally abusive behavior of family members. She listened, provided excellent advice and reassured me when I needed it (jI thought it would go on forever). Fees were reasonable & fair and the billing was very clear. Her office staff was also responsive and courteous. I am grateful for Julie Adam’s-DeFord’s professional expertise and her personable and calm demeanor - it saved my sanity!
