Trail's End

We visited here (from Baltimore) on Oct 19, 2022. We were camping at Ricketts Glen State Park and it was too cold (28 °F) to cook breakfast so we hit this place. What a great little place in the middle of nowhere! Service was fantastic and the food was phenomenal. Reminds me of some of the best diner type comfort food you could have.

No college-girl waitresses in plastic aprons here. This is a down-home, clean restaurant that serves delicious, fresh-made comfort food. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. Be prepared...they only take cash, US dollars.

We had breakfast. All of us enjoyed our meals. Meals were correct. Service was friendly. Atmosphere was welcoming.

Roast beef club was excellent as was the special grilled cheese with 🥓 & tomato, piping hot and crispy sweet potato fries. Quick friendly service. So good!

Great classic small town diner, the food was delicious and the proprietress was wonderful. I only regret that I couldn't be there on Saturday to have their made from scratch biscuits!!

Small family ran diner. Food was good for the affordable price, but nothing gourmet, a good place to stop around the State Park with not many other options. We will stop again if in the area. 2 burgers and a shared fry for $13

I just love small, cozy restaurants. The service is so friendly, and the food was very good. I hope to eat here again the next time I visit Ricketts Glen. I suggest calling ahead to check on opening hours, they vary and are subject to change occasionally. I loved it!

I usually keep my reviews local to me, but Trail's End is a great spot. Exactly what it should be, a quaint eatery with great hometown atmosphere. Breakfast was great, super affordable, and our server was very nice. They also have great firewood outside for sale. I think this will become a tradition when I'm camping and hiking in the area. 🤓👍👍

We arrived at 12:45 on a Saturday. I had a cheeseburger and onion rings and my grandson had a chicken sandwich and fries. I then learned that they closed at 1 pm-the hours are posted but I didn't notice. I felt terrible for arriving that close to closing, but the waitress was very nice about it. The food was hot, the buns were fresh, and the prices were good.

Amazing little gem! The owner is absolutely hilarious as well as generous. The food is delicious and made just right. The atmosphere is family-friendly, budget-friendly, and somewhere we will have great joy in returning to year after year.

This restaurant is a gem! Our favorite for breakfast but all of their food is excellent. Visiting Rose is like going to a favorite family members home. Highly recommend for a nice, easy-going Sunday morning breakfast! Love this place!

Great, down to earth eatery with friendly, accommodating staff. We had breakfast - delicious and very reasonably priced. We'll be back on our next visit to Ricketts Glen!

The best place to get breakfast in the area! This is my husbands and I’s favorite place. Super affordable! Rose and Neil are awesome! The best French toast and bacon ever! The fish fry on Friday’s is also amazing!

Great tasting food and friendly service. Every Friday they have an all you can eat fish fry for $9.95. The fish is incredible and you also get to pick 2 sides included in the price from a list of about 15 options. I got mashed sweet potatoes and New England clam chowder and everything was delicious!

Rose is a gem! We enjoyed chatting with her and laughing at her witty humor just as much as we enjoyed our home cooked breakfast 😊 (the scrapple was amazing even is my wife and Rose disagree! They think it’s gross… try IT! Sooo good!)
