Highly recommend. The guys that work here were very knowledgeable, professional, and do great work. I needed a custom exhaust pipe welded onto my generator for a carpet cleaning machine I built, they had it done in no time, and I'm very happy with the results.

I took my 1978 Firebird to general auto to have new exhaust installed and some A/C work to finish up a LS2 swap, long story short, after having the exhaust installed I had them try to start the car for the first time and found that the harness I installed was completely incorrect for the car. Troy and Edgar helped me work through all of the issues that came up because of this and got the the car up and running great! Troy was great to work with and Edgar was very thorough with researching all of the issues with the wiring. Highly recommend these guys

Got a header back exhaust done on my 79 c10. Sounds great, good quality, and got my crate engine sounding how she should. Will be bringing her back for some other touch-up’s and further maintenance. Thank you, Troy!

Always honest and great customer service also the best prices very reasonable. I had to get a catalytic converter fixed about 5 or 6 years ago and from them to now they are still the best shop around.

Just got the exhaust system on my 69 Camaro replaced from the headers on back. The 2 1/2" pipes with Flowmaster 40 series mufflers is the perfect setup! The best part of the exhaust is the sound! It's way better than I could have hoped for or imagined! Troy and his entire crew did an awesome job! I'm extremely satisfied with this shop, the job they did and would not hesitate to give my highest recommendation. AAA+++ all the way!

Awesome people, great prices and great workmanship! They stand behind their work! Was out of state and heard about Troy, took my truck there and they were able to fix it. It needed head gaskets, glow plugs, fuel filter, fan clutch and more. . . Being from out of state, Troy gave me the confidence they could do the job and that they did. Truck drove flawlessly back home pulling our trailer. Call them if you want great work and good prices, he will be honest.

I have taken two of my rigs into these awesome guys. Not only have they repaired my vehicle(s) quickly and with great value but they identified some small fixes I was not charged for. Just like to start by saying that these guys are awesome!! Been going to this shop for a year and a half now. The owner Troy is a vey good listener and communicator and always keeps me in the loop on my automotive maintenance and repairs. Special thanks to Edgar for always being patient and willing to explain all of the technical aspects of the repair. Excellent quality of work at a more than fair price, all with a smile and friendly atmosphere. Can't say enough about these guys, wish I could leave 6 stars!!!!

Troy is one heck of a knowledgeable man his prices are amazing he’s never let me down. I refer everyone to him because I know that he will take care of them right. There’s no other mechanic in the valley I would take my vehicles to. He did a cage in my race car came out perfect. Did an exhaust on my Silverado sounded perfect just what I wanted. I will keep referring people to him over and over and over because I know he will take care of them and charge them exactly what it should be no ifs, ands or buts it’s never over priced.

I needed some tires for my car that were special order items. All other resources I tried stated it would be months before they were available.Troy and his team have helped me in the past with exhaust work so I thought I would try them for my tires. He was very busy when I stopped by but he took the time and found me the tires after hours while at home. Instead of months Troy had the tires in his shop 1 1/2 weeks later. I dropped my wheels off in the morning on my way to work to get them mounted and received a call back before I even made it to work. They were ready for pick up. Keep in mind they are a exhaust/mechanic shop not a tire store. Words can not describe how grateful I was for Troy to help me out. I never take time to leave reviews for businesses but I had to this time. I have recommended General Car & Exhaust to many friends and colleagues in the past and ALL of them were impressed by the professionalism and courtesy his team provided. I did notice a rash of bad reviews recently posted to Google reviews that can only be explained by 1 bad apple that had a few of their internet social posting warriors trying to bring a good business down. This tactic never works against a good business and will not work now. My guess is a customer that flopped on the ground and threw a fit like a 3 year old. A internet expert who routinely pays for winter air for their tires and a quick fill of his/her blinker fluid at other shops had a beef about the diagnosis and cost of a repair from a mechanic with decades of experience along with the time it would be done. Like my Grandpa always told me " Never eat at a restaurant that is not busy at lunch time and never go to a mechanics shop that does not have other customers cars waiting for service".

My Duramax Diesel need a better exhaust, glow plugs & an EGR fault code repaired. Everything was done on budget & on-time.

Excellent service, have been visiting the workshop frequently for brake and suspension related issues. Top notch service always. They even helped me modify my car with a custom made exhaust. I love it! Would recommend it to every car enthusiast!

The owner Troy really stands behind his work. Over the years we have had some issues with bad parts and he has always made sure to make it right. Troy is honest and is priced fairly. I'm very glad to have found General Car and Exhaust and will keep using them in the future.

The whole crew at General is awesome and straight forward. Edgar worked on our Saab 9-5, he might be the only person in the Valley who can work on Saab & he did a great job. We have about 1000 miles on a valve job and it’s running like a top. From what I saw, they can work on just about anything from a 1969 Impala to a BMW 750 to C10 Chevy or like us, a Saab (who drives Saabs? People who think Volvos aren’t obscure enough LOL, actually they are great cars) I recommend General Car & Exhaust!

Wasn't sure where exactly to take my car to be looked at since I wasn't too sure what the problem was, and I came across General Car & Exhaust. The reviews were great which is why I decided to stick with them. Took my car in and they found and fixed the problem within a couple of days (wheel bearing). Very affordable prices and I loved how I was walked through every step of the way. Will be back for any future car needs!

This place did an extremely nice job putting a dual exhaust system on my 51 Chevy Truck. Fantastic people, stuck to the estimate, and did it in a short period of time... And when I picked it up i had an electrical issue with it and the helped to track it down.. These people do care. I will go back if I need any work done again. Thank You all for the work and help.

After my son got into an accident we took his car into General Car and Exhaust and they really did an amazing job with the repairs. You can’t tell there was any damage, and they even cleaned up his vehicle really well.
