Visiting our daughter at college and a Google Maps search for food landed us at Barrel 135. The reviews sold us and after stepping inside, we were not disappointed!

The cocktail menu had a lot of great options, we tried 4 or 5 and were impressed with each one for different reasons.

Food was not what I expected walking in, but was right up our alley for something different. The short rib ramen was great, nice big chunks of meat, a good kick in the broth, and was something that I wouldn’t typically land on at a first-time visit… but glad I did. The poke bowl and seared tuna were also great options and tasted great.

Desserts were out of this world, we literally each got our own because we couldn’t decide on one to share. Again, zero disappointment in that decision and would do it again.

Our server was fun and energetic, made us feel like we had been friends for years, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We will most certainly take this stop again when we’re back in the area.

Unique menu and very friendly staff. Had the tuna special Friday and short rib tacos on Saturday, and both were excellent! Good selection of appetizers and drink.

Kelly is one of the most patient servers I’ve seen in a while. She was great with the kids and fun to chat with. The food here is fantastic, and the music really sets a great vibe.

Food was really well done. Wasn't sure what to expect not being from the area. But we had the kalbi poutine, and prob one of the top 5 appetizers I have had anywhere. We ended up getting the specials for dinner, one steak and one fish. Very very good! Would be back. Only down side was atmosphere because the place was empty. But no idea why. I work in the heights area of Houston TX and this place would fit in well. Trendy, higher scale, good food and drinks.

I haven’t the slightest idea WHY this place isn’t listed as a 5 star restaurant because not only do you get ambience but you get genuine personality from the staff. The engagement with the phenomenal bartender (I’m a retired bartender) who makes her own craft specials drink and the server who waited on us, I could speak volumes to their service. That alone would have me make the 5.5 hour drive from central Ohio to dine there again. Now let’s talk about the menu. It’s a variation of foods, no real genre which I love. My husband and I had a mix of the food. We started with the sesame crusted tuna nachos, it’s homemade tortilla chips stacked with the tuna, cucumber slaw, wasabi and a jalapeño slice!!!!!! Delicious 😋 he had the dragon sushi roll and I had the pound of curry mussels. Disclosure here; I LOVE me some mussels and anytime we travel I try the mussels. I’ve had some delicious mussels but THESE I would drive 5.5 hours to eat. I tasted the freshness of the ocean, they were super tender and full of flavor. I devoured the pound of mussels in 5 min tops. We took a chicken schnitzel served with asparagus to go. Now if I had to have a debate I would say the chicken schnitzel is not a traditional schnitzel. German schnitzel is a thin cutlet of pork or chicken pounded and then fried in a crispy breading. This was a thick piece of chicken, still had the taste of schnitzel but definitely not a thin pounded piece of chicken. Asparagus was cook to perfection and that means a lot to a foodie and culinary student. Drinks were on point and creative for this small town in Williamsport, PA. We will be back every time we visit because this place is absolutely AMAZING!!!! 5 STARS for sure.

P.S I wanted you to see the mussels but at first taste I just smashed them without care for the before photo. That should tell you something

There were only 2 seats available when we arrived, but the hostess assured us a table would open quickly just as seats at the bar opened. The service remained professionally attentive (no chit chat) so our drinks stayed full (and tasty) our order was taken without needing more than a moments pause. The cocktails were creative without being bizarre and were appropriately priced. While we came for dinner, this would be an excellent happy hour spot.
The cocktail menu was paper, but the food menu consisted of a QR code that is a link to their online menu. Only 2 of us has scanned QR codes with our current phones, so we had to pass them around. Also, even optimized for a phone layout, there's a reason e-readers don't fit in your pocket. Also, despite the flexibility a web menu affords for real-time modification, the specials still had to be read by the server. Despite these minor shortcomings at least I didn't have to order through the site, or download a special app!
Anyway, the food itself was phenomenal, only a short step from high-end formal (aka 5-star). The menu boasted a wide range of ethnic influences packaged in familiar gastro-pub comfort-food format (love those shiny buns). We enjoyed an appetizer, entrees, and both dessert specials. Every bite was a taste sensation- delicious all around.
Any piece of the service, taste, and variety is enough to overshadow a potentially clunky menu, and together it's a recipe for regular return visits.

The food is fantastic and the craft drinks, while a bit pricey, are wonderful! I had the Maple Bacon Manhattan, it was yummy goodness and just what I wanted on a cold fall evening. Their French Fries are awesome and the steak poke bowl is sweet & spicy and the steak was very tender.

Kid friendly bar/restaurant. We were out with two of our great friends for dinner. We had our infant along. Kelly brought us a bowl of hot water to warm our infant's bottle. She even offered us the loft above the bar for a much safer, more sanitary, and more spacious spot to change our infant. Just bring your own changing pad.

This was my first time eating here. I got a very berry mojito which was amazing and part of the spring drink menu if I recall correctly. The nightly special was ribeye steak (I think not 100% sure what kind of steak) with a red pepper sauce and roasted baby potatoes and asparagus. Very delicious. Although it is expensive the meal alone was $37. In my opinon though worth it for a very nice night out. Our server was very friendly and checked on us frequently (but not too frequently). We gave him a good tip. There are cheaper menu options but the special sounded so delicious me and my friend just had to try it.

This place should be rated 5 stars. Everything I have eaten there is amazing and they have pretty diverse menu options and specials. The service was amazing and everyone was so friendly and welcoming. I'll have to come back next time to try the drinks, because those looked extremely good too and they had some really unique cocktails.

Delicious alfredo sauce meatballs, tuna taco and the butcher block flank steak is not the only reason i will return, the almond cake made from th chef was outrageously mouth watering

A wonderful, cozy pub located in downtown Williamsport. Nice atmosphere indoors and a airy, cool patio in the warmer months. The mixed drinks are always changing and are interesting and flavorful. We enjoy the small plate selections like the sliders and sushi. Definitely worth a stop if you’re downtown!
