To start off, the parking lot is large, spacious and well designed. The building is beautifully designed. When you walk in to the emergency area, the emergency receptionist is barely friendly, but that’s ok because once you convince her to let you in through those double doors… it’s a different world. Everyone back there is very friendly except for the old guy that does the laundry. If you say hi to him, he will ignore you.
I was visiting someone who was about to have surgery. The nurses were very friendly and the anesthesiologist was kinda nice. The surgeon…was awesome! He was very attentive, friendly, hospitable and assuring. He performed a gall bladder removal about as fast as I can do an oil change! He even offered us a variety of drinks and snacks and showed us the way to the waiting room (after we finish drinking and snacking). The surgeon was a humorous man and a complete gentleman at the same time. If I get his name later, I will mention him here, because he deserves the honor to be in this review.
After the surgery was done, the surgeon went and found us to fill us in on the details and patiently answer any questions. This guy is a pro at what he does.
We went downstairs and walked around. The hospital looked terribly understaffed. A closed gift shop with VERY limited hours and days stood there in front of an empty reception desk. There were a few other reception desks…all empty. Down the hall was the cafeteria. Yes, it was minimally staffed…but the older women who was working the grill was a very kind lady that made me an outstanding fried chicken sandwich with fries at an outstanding price!
Overall, it was a good experience and I would totally go eat at that cafeteria instead of many other restaurants that I usually go to. And if I ever need a surgeon, I would definitely go find that guy too.

Was taken to the ER and very attentive staff at this facility. The Nurse, Doctor and other staff were quick to respond, communicate and gave follow up instructions. Everything was very clean.

Tuesday, December 26, 2023, my son Nicholas Glandon had knee surgery at the Nampa St. Als Hospital. His recover RN Greg provided some exceptional service that was above and beyond. RN Greg stayed with my son until 6:30pm to make sure that he had fully recovered and was able to return home to his rescue dog Loki, which was extremely important to Nick. I cannot thank RN Greg enough for his concern and sincere consideration for Nick. God Bless St. Als and the professional and personal people that they employee. Thank you RN Greg.

This review is for the cafeteria only!

I highly recommend for a good, quick, cheap meal. You don't have to register or sign, you can just walk in off the street and grab lunch.

The special is only $4.75 and that includes fries and a drink.

I successfully paid with Samsung pay on my GearS3 watch.

Now the important part: the food is super fresh. They didn't start cooking my fish or fries until I ordered. I went right at noon and the line was super short. I waited less than five minutes for my food. Fry sauce is on point. And to top it off, they have bendy straws.

The best lunch you can buy around Garrity for $5.

Great staff and great doctors. Only thing i would advise is to get the correct information from patient after being there for a little while. The 2nd dr who was female spent alot of time getting my whole story and in doing so found something that noone even knew was wrong before. The hospital was spotless and super clean. The worst thing there was the food.

I just wanted to share our experience with the Hospital of St. Alphonsus Medical Center. My mom was admitted for about 14 days in the ICU with many complications with Covid related complications. The nurses from a regular room up to the ICU were absolutely wonderful. I wanted to give a shout out to Lori & Layne. Layne is a student nurse and his bedside manners and professionalism are very awesome. As well as the same for Lori. Unfortunately, my mom passed away, but in her final hours both nurses. And all of the stuff that came in to help were wonderful. Thank you for your caring and concern for our family.

From the guy checking you in, to the receptionist, to the nurses, specialists and doctors - every single one of them was kind, helpful, compassionate, and understanding. When we left, they all wished us the best! Our baby was very sick and they went above and beyond! They got me a breast pump, bottles, a charger to charge my phone, dimmed the lights so our baby could sleep and checked on us regularly to make sure our needs were met. I feel we hardly waited! They went above and beyond and the CT scan nurse even embraced me since I was under a lot of stress and worry! Really meant a lot. I highly recommend this hospital and their quality, timely care! So grateful for St. alphonsus!

Absolutely everyone in the ER was kind, compassionate and professional. My situation was very scary. The entire team, from the admitting nurse to the doctor to the RNs to the imaging department went above and beyond to check everything and make me feel as comfortable as possible. I know it will be an expensive visit, but the care and the compassion I received was phenomenal. I will always recommend St Al’s over any other hospital.

Wonderful care. I was brought in for a bad drug reaction. Everyone was kind. The ER was calm and well run. And SPOTLESS. Thank you for being kind during a scary experience.

We went through the death of a close family member last week. We were escorted to the hospital by the police who told us of his death. There was the coroner and Chaplin waiting for us. The staff and Chaplin and Coroner were amazing! They let us go at our pace. They walked us through steps. When we asked they helped us with body donations. We were not rushed! We were allowed to visit as long as we wanted. They answered our questions and helped us find answers if they didn't know something. Most of all the compassion we felt, was comforting.
Thsnk you for having great, caring, professional staff.

I was seen in the ER. Everyone I encounter was above and beyond amazing! They made a stressful situation a bit easier with their kind smiles and words. Small details mean so much when your sick like the x ray tech taking a min to straighten my blanket before I got back into bed to the corny jokes of the RN and the so friendly guy at the reception desk. I am usually faithful to the other hospital in the valley and only went to this one because it was close. But with a family of 6 odds are we will be utilizing hospital services again and we will use St. Al's.

All my concerns were met in a friendly manner. The entire staff was efficient. The tests came back quickly so the doctor had all information when he came into my room. My son is a doctor and the emergency doctor offered to tell my son of my status. He talked on my cell phone for several minutes. He was most helpful and went above and beyond. Nurses, X-ray techs, EMT personnel, EKG tech, blood bank personnel, admitting were all kind and responsive to my needs and anxiety. There were a total of five emergencies that came in at the same time I did and yet I had a positive experience. They were proactive in starting an IV so all my blood draws and meds administered were taken from the IV. That saved me from getting multiple punctures.

This St. Als facility is top notch. I will begin with ER. Even during COVID (which was NOT the issue), they could triage in the ER and get my husband set up for admission into ER suites which was only a 20 minute wait. Once in ER things happened with effeciency and compassion as his pain level was a 10+. Their team communicated with each other and checked and doubled check information and my husband's condition, which involved admission to the hospital and a 10 day stay with surgery.
The nursing staff on 5th floor was amazing. They explained everything that was happening...CT scans; IV's and their purposes; etc. They are familiar with surgeons and are VERY CONSCIOUS of patient's rights and their ability to ask for 2nd opinions, which we did. They even contact additional surgeons for us to interview.
Food was very good. This was our 4th visit in 13 months. We will not go anywhere else...hoping we will not need to.

I've had 3 surgeries here (back fusion, gall bladder removal, emergency appendectomy) and I was in the emergency for cardiac issues. All of the experiences I had with this hospital have been most excellent. The nursing staff even HAND wrote me a card and sent it to me after I left. Again... MOST EXCELLENT!

One of the best experience as far as service from the nurses at that this location. Bobby and Jessica where awesome very attentive and helpful! The main reason for my 5 stars. The other nurses where Ok or a lil better then average. but those 2 nurses really made it a great experience there on the delivery side.

I went to the ER in intense pain from a Kidney Stone. Each person we met was kind, courteous and caring. We received prompt and gentle care. The care was excellent. I recommend Saint Alphonsus Emergency Room Services.

My wife, Sonja, went to the ER last October in extreme pain from what we found out was a perforated small intestine. Dr. Matthew Macha did emergency surgery and literally saved her life. We can't say enough about the great care we received from Dr. Macha and all the St. Alphonsus nursing staff. During the extreme stress of the Covid-19 situation with overcrowding, problems with staffing, etc. St. Al's provided excellent care and we are so grateful!

I took my sister to the ER this morning around 3:30. She had slipped on the stairs in our apartment and had a dislocated finger, a nasty gash between two fingers, a bump on the head, and had broken her other arm. The nurse, Chaucy, was amazing and patient. Dr Brandon Wilding was wonderful, explained everything, and answered all our questions. The guy who did the X-rays was funny and easygoing. They made it as good as it possibly could have been for my sister. I know we won't be thrilled about the bill, but the employees that worked with us were all very nice.

I came in with the flu. I was so sick. I had a hard time breathing. Dr. Riss was my doctor, Cheri was my nurse. They were both SO nice to me. So were the ppl out front!! I was diagnosed with influenza A and COPD. My wait out front was no more than five minutes. In the room, I had no wait. Someone was doing something to me the whole time. I have been too this hospital three times I love these ppl. I have no complaints!!
