One of the nicest places in Allegheny National Forest PA. Handsome lake trail is great for a hike and campground is on amazing position with great view and never busy. Please make sure to not leave any trash after and respect nature.

Cool boat to or hike in campground. About a mile paddle in from Roper Hollow Boat launch. $12 pay yourself fee per night. Sites are a little bit small. Don't expect to fit more than 2 tents per site. There are 2 nice vault toilets. No drinking water available.

Beautiful spot in the Allegheny National Forest along the shore of the Kinzua Reservoir. This campground is rustic and only accessible by boat or foot via the North Country Trail.

The campground is very neat and orderly and anyone wishing to camp at a rustic location this is ideal. I was there not for the campground but for the challenging backpacking that the whole area offers. Hikers wishing for a full body workout will not be disappointed backpacking in this area.

Great sites, hike in from parking lot 18 is more uphill than you’d expect, but extremely well marked and maintained trail. The water pump in photos is gone, but the stream along the end of the trail is good clean spring water for filtered drinking.

Very nice camp. Access to reservoir and latrine. The camp has great views and is great for fishing and boating.

Beautiful campsites at water's edge. Some good tent and lots of excellent hammock hanging spots. Bring your own water supply or filter/purification system.

5 mile or so hike to the campground. There is drinkable water from a water pump and a great view of the reservoir. Roughly 1000 feet down and 1000 feet back up on the way back. More than half of the trail is next to a running creek.

This is a very nice secluded camp ground. We got there from the Tracy Ridge Trail system. There is a $12 fee. The vault bathroom was better than elected.

Amazing views !! What a great way to spend the weekend ! Buddy and I paddled about a mile from roper hollow boat ramp, it was well worth it ! Cant wait to go back again !
