I’ve known about this place for awhile, but have not had the time to visit until now. The website and photos make it appear to be tiny. While it is small compared to other military museums, it has multiple buildings and multiple floors of history. They do their best to keep all artifacts authentic and non-replicant.

One important note, NO photos are allowed in their Holocaust exhibit; in respect to the victims.

AN ABSOLUTE MUST SEE! I'll write a longer review later when I have more time, but I'm so impressed and can't wait to go back!
The museum, staff, exhibits, information, and local history are the best of the best!
It's worth the time and drive.
BRING CASH for the shop and to leave a donation to the free museum. I left a $20 for 2 people and don't feel like I left enough because it was so amazing. Coffee mug was like $12 or $14 and a hat was $20. They are very high quality and I'll get another hat next time.

I cannot even come close to say how amazing this museum is ! We were SO IMPRESSED! This place is HUGE inside , many levels .. so many different rooms… the displays are so impressive we were totally in awe! Just beautiful… amazing. Our guide Steve was extremely knowledgeable… and our tour with him was an amazing experience! My husband is a vet and WWll buff … and he learned things he didn’t even know ..Steve’s stories, knowledge and passion for war history was just beautiful. At times we laughed , and at times we had tears in our eyes…. We will definitely be returning ! I believe EVERYBODY should experience this place.. He told us they receive new items very often and change up displays. We were just thrilled and so surprised at how wonderful it is here . What a GEM!!! And such a GIFT. We DEFINITELY RECOMMEND IT!!

This a grand WWII museum. The director has such passion in his historical knowledge of WWII and willing to tell you and share to the younger folks. The staff are generous with their knowledge and will help make sure you see everything in the museum. It's worth the trip.

Probably cannot say enough about how fantastic this museum was. Would like to definitely go back sometime. Can't believe they're such a collection from all over the world of uniforms and stories and just the rich history of world war II, the Holocaust Pearl harbor and of course Normandy. The volunteers were fantastic. I appreciate the stories they shared. The museum is donation based.

Remarkable memorabilia here. The caretakers are most friendly and have the best WWII stories filled with fact and personal experience. A must see experience that will last a life time. You'll want to keep coming back.

Wow; this little town museum is done better than most museums that I have ever visited. This team does an outstanding job at telling the human stories behind almost all their artifacts. Stories of local vets and families on both sides of the war and their memories. The guy running this place is fantastic at doing his job and absolutely loves when he is doing to bring all this history to today's visitors. I would highly recommend this to everyone near this community. And the place is stuffed with items and write ups about them. Allow plenty of time; this is not a place for a one hour stop. Too much to see and learn!!!

I had no idea this place existed until our patriotic organization scheduled a day trip here. I thought it was one little building but it's HUGE. The best way to do this is to get a group & schedule a tour. You'll learn so much. They have displays and memorabilia and videos and donated items. Have grandpa's WWII letters, photos, etc and don't know what to do with them? They'll gladly take them to enrich our nation's story and preserve all the stories of our everyday heroes and heroines. I want to go back as the 2 hours we were there wasn't enough. Eldred, PA has something really special here.

Awesome museum!!!! Had a great time talking to the staff especially the gentleman who was Army Special Forces. Staff was great and knowledgeable. If my elderly mother didn’t tire so easily I would of easily spent hours on end there reading all the info of every single exhibit. The exhibits were great and I loved how they honored the local heroes as well. Must see if in the area for sure!

This place is amazing. For this type of a rural area, to have this quality of a museum, is wonderful for the community.

This was one of the best WW2 Museum we have visited. Tge outside is decieving as to how big the place is. Steve Appleby was working and shared even more incredible stories which made it very exciting. A must see for families, allowing the youth of today to understand what it means to be a Hero.
