This place is great. Was quoted 2300.00 to fix AC at a different mechanic. Was told I needed a whole new system. Did not like that price, so I brought it to Durans. He replaced a fitting and recharged for a way more resonable price. Its blowing cold air again. Thank you. Honest people here

I highly recommend bringing your vehicles to this shop! The owner is incredibly kind, knowledgeable and honest. We have a 2010 Ford F-150 and the air compressor went out. We scheduled an appointment, once he diagnosed the issue he showed us what was going on while the truck was on the rack. He was able to make all the repairs the same day and have us back on the road that evening. We will be bringing all our vehicles here in the future and would definitely recommend this shop to family and friends!

WOW!!! If you have not taken your vehicle here to see Joe, you need to go now!!! My brake system went out Christmas Eve and I’ve been without a vehicle for three days, waiting for this shop to open back up from the Holiday weekend. I read all the reviews and it seems like the place to take a chance on. Not only did Joe agree to fix my vehicle, he fixed it the same day and I was out of there by 4pm. I don’t know how he got all the parts but he pulled off a miracle. We are talking brake pads, rotors, and rear calipers. I’m very thankful he didn’t price gouge me and put in the hard work. Joe has agreed to be my new mechanic. When you are a woman alone with car problems, it’s hard to know who to trust. A simple thank you and paying the bill doesn’t seem enough.

Great communication, I had a last minute smog check and Joe had everything ready the next day. Even as rushed as he was he took time to make me feel valued, especially providing a service that pays him a whopping $3.50. Very professional outfit.

Joe is just the nicest, most honest an experienced mechanic I have found in the Treasure Valley. I am a single female and have been treated honestly each time I have gone. Very nice guy!!

Duran has done so much for us. Any car issue we have Peter has worked on it quickly and at a great price. We have had a rebuilt engine put in my daughter's car and the rear end of my old BMW rebuilt. These were both huge projects for us, I could not have asked for better service.

I had the guys at Duran work on my '93 Camry. They are very professional and also have that experienced home-town mechanic vibe that I find more trustworthy than national chains. They were honest and informative, and- most importantly- did Not treat me like I didn't know what I was talking about. I talked to 3 different guys throughout all of it, and they were each professional and obviously experienced, and customer oriented.

They get 10 gold stars from me for:

1. Having their space overcrowded with vehicles needing worked on when I dropped my car off.
2. Having their their space overcrowded with DIFFERENT vehicles needing worked on when I picked my car up.
3. Giving me an accurate estimate, with possible complicating scenarios and respective changes in cost.
4. The owner calling me with his mechanic's diagnosis before having them start working on the car.
5. Not finding a bigger, more serious problem than what I thought was going on. Not that that was in their control, but let's be honest, it affects how you view the mechanic. They get this star for having good luck :).
6. Calling me to let me know the minute my car was done (despite knowing that I would not be able to pick it up until the next day) and explaining everything they did and saw- you know, the FYIs.
7. Not trying to upsell me on any services (despite the surety that my '93 has a myriad of issues).
8. Being familiar with and having all the tools to work on an older Toyota.
9. Having a clean lobby/office area.
10. Being a local, well-run, hard-working and friendly small business.

I came to this automotive shop by a referral from a friend. Since then, I will never bring my automotive to ANY other place than here. The shop is fantastic, it may appear a little small but the service you receive is top notch!

Joe is a great technician. He knows troubleshooting and most importantly, is honest and very upfront about cost and options. I highly recommend this shop, Joe stands behind his repairs.

I went here yesterday and the staff was awesome. The lady at the front was extremely kind and the guy working on my car was really knowledgeable and down to earth. I would highly recommend these guys!
