J&D Heating, Cooling, & Water

My furnace went out on the coldest day of the year. I was referred to J&D by a coworker and gave them a call. Despite it being near the end of the working day the owners personally came out for a last minute house call to check things out.

My unit was dead in the water but fortunately I gave the right folks a call. They walked me through all the possible options and were extremely transparent --answering all my questions in detail. We determined the best course of action was to replace my furnace and they were able to get the install started first thing the next morning -- they even provided me space heaters to help get me and my family through the night.

The technicians showed up in the morning exactly when they said they were going to, and they were friendly and professional which is always a plus! I worked from home that day and didn't hardly notice they were there. They were diligent and finished an hour or so before they had thought it would take.

The night without heat was a little rough, and under different circumstances I could see this being a terrible experience. However, I feel like J&D helped make the best out of a not so great situation.

If you want to support a homegrown Idaho company that has been around since the 60s and not displace any more locals, then I definitely recommend J&D.

j&D has always taken great care of me. When my furnace died years ago they brought me space heaters and got me bumped up on the list so I could have heat. That was my first time using them.
Since then they have kept everything running great.

My drain line froze on my furnace. J & D Heating was very prompt in their response in sending out a technician to evaluate the problem. The technician, Kenny, was very kind, he gave me three options for the repair. This company is very informative, helpful, affordable.

Nick A. arrived at my home on time. He was pleasant, professional, knowledgeable, thorough and took time to carefully explain each photo of my two furnaces and explained why he chose the marks on the work sheet. He made me feel very comfortable and reassured that my furnaces are performing as expected and also let me know of upcoming maintenance issues to be dealt with in the future. I will ask for Nick to visit my home again! He deserves at 5 star rating for sure!

What a great experience, from the time that Chris came and helped us understand what we needed to buy and answered all our questions, to the time that Ken and Mikey came and installed the heating and air conditioning unit they were all nothing but professional, friendly, and more than willing to answer any questions I asked. Ken and Mikey even though they were busy working would stop and answer any questions I had pleasantly and with a smile. When the install was finished, they went above and beyond to get everything cleaned up and swept up. Thank you J&D, you have an awesome team working for you! -Very satisfied customer-

Kenny is awesome! I absolutely love J&D, they don’t pressure you or make things feel urgent unless it is! Kenny took the time to explain everything to us and was very clear.

Mr. Winkler came to our home on time. Did his work in a professional and competent manner. He cleaned up after himself too, and then spent time briefing us on his findings concerning our heater. He changed our heater filters too. On a previous visit he told us of a vendor able to do good work on our broken house gable. That vendor came to our home and did his work here well too. Thank you Mr. Winkler for doing good a good job for us today and telling us of other vendors who do good work too. When you hirer J&D Heating, Cooling, & Water, you get real value for your dollar!

Jens installed a new hot water heater, cleaned the furnace blower, and put in new bulb in the air scrubber. He was punctual, did the job as requested, cleaned the area after the install, and is always polite and answers any questions. Great worker.

Jens made it to the house in a fast time. Took only a little time to see what the problem was. Gave us some options on cost and went straight to work. He had a battle with the pressure tank but he won and now everything is top top.

Today Kenny came out to do our routine A/C maintenance. We also had some questions which he addressed by educating us and giving us options. Kenny has done our maintenance for a while now. I appreciate the consistency of having the same tech. He is aware of our history with J & D which is helpful. Kenny is professional, knowledgeable and has good people skills. He's welcome anytime.

I have had multiple J and D heating representatives out to my house and Jens was one of the most professional ones I have had. He performed a routine maintenance on my system, showed me a few things to help the system run better and even offerred to take out my trash. Five stars in my book.

Jens was an answer to prayer for me. He was at a neighbor's house and my a/c wasn't working. He gave me a number to call to get me on the schedule and then was able to come right over, a blessing on a hot day. He quickly found the problem and then we talked about a regular maintenance plan.
