A wonderful place for extra supportive veterinary needs. Pleasant, welcoming and loving. We used the reproduction services for a very special breeding. We are expecting at least 8 puppies. Huge THANK YOU to the team. They really are a team.

Idaho Veterinary Hospital is outstanding! Friendly, professional, caring, they really do their best to take care of our pets. We appreciate everything they do for us, and our furbabies.

The staff was very friendly and made sure I was helped. Everyone was so nice to and concerned about my cat Mollie. She was handled with such care to ensure she was not scared or hurt. I highly recommend Idaho Veterinary Hospital! Thank you for caring so much and providing excellent treatment to my cat!

Idaho Veterinary Hospital is amazing! All the people that work there are extremely caring and loving towards their patients. Our dog is very scared of going, but knows that she will get a special treat from the doctor. I love how honest this vet is too! Would definitely recommend!

Once you establish your pet there they get you in quickly if need for pet emergency (and I believe for pet appointment). My kitty usually gets over her sneezing in a few days but a few weeks ago she was still sneezing 3-4 days later so I called and the vet received her in the same day. The vet doctors did a thorough check on my kitty. They are thorough and caring. My kitty is fine... we just had to wait it out with a virus so no antibiotics needed.

The staff are absolute sweethearts, they took amazing care of my hyper puppy and knew how to handle it. Definitely plan on taking my others animals here. And it’s super affordable!! Best vet experience I’ve had. (And I’ve had a lot I own 6 cats and 4 dogs)

What an amazing veterinarian! Avian vets are VERY rare in the TV; this is the only one that actually specializes in avian medicine - the others are small/exotic animal vets. It’s a good sign when they actually have rescue parrots that live on the premises as resident greeters. The vet tech who assisted us also has parrots = these people know and love birds.

I will continue to visit this place - even if it’s a drive from Boise.

I have an urban farm and I'm one of those crazy rescue ladies. I have 6 ankle biters (chihuahuas and poms) and chickens and ducks and a goat. IDAHO VETERINARIAN HOSPITAL has been amazing! My now 15 year old pom, none of us thought would make it they help me give her a comfortable end of life/ old age. She is still kicking and although her time may be short she is living her best life. They have also help me put my chicken that was suffering to sleep. This may sound crazy, but i love all my animals and the doctors are so nice here. I think Dr Ann Mueller and Dr Jennifer Hacker are the ones that I see most often. SO kind. I've taken most of my dogs here, and a chicken, and I think a few of the stray cats that decide I'm their mom. I highly recommend this place. I had a local LONG time vet in Nampa not care about my favorite dog and it died of dehydration after surgery, this wouldn't have happened here. I've had lots of NOT great experiences at about 10 different veterinarians. This one by far is the BEST. RECOMMEND!!!!!! I trust these guys with my animals-I haven't trusted any other around here.

The most caring and thorough vet I’ve ever been to. My 3 month old puppy broke her knee and they got her in quickly for a procedure and kept me informed every step of the way. Dr. Calhoun was her surgeon and he was thorough and really cared. He even let my son get out a bird to hold and was there to answer any questions and concerns for our puppy.

They were amazing with my bunny who was sick! They saw him quickly, were so great with him even though he was scared, and didn't try to push a bunch of exorbitant tests and treatments! I will for sure be taking my pets here in the future!

Update: I have been taking my pups here for a couple years now and every time, they treat my babies like they are precious and are never judgemental or stuck up! They are honest about which tests need run and are always taking fantastic care of my little babies! My pups are super anxious with new people, but love their staff and are always taken great care of! ❤

I have been taking my fur-babies to the IVH since the late 1990s.
It started with taking my lil 2 yr old Min Pin, Draco, in due to muscle atrophy & Dr Calhoun helped him live pain-free for 7 more years.
Bruce Lee, my lil Chihuahua, was their latest client.
Bruce never let anything keep him from enjoying the things he loved.
Bruce lived his 15 yrs doing all the things he loved with my husband & me, right up til he crossed his Rainbow Bridge Feb 17, 2024.
I cannot thank IVH enough for how well they cared for Draco & Bruce.
I plan to continue to use them with all my future fur-babies.

We had to put our sweet dog down. It was Saturday morning and we did not have an appointment. They were wonderful, kind and accommodating from the beginning. Sorry, I don't remember any names. The lady at the desk assured me they could help and would get us seen ASAP. She wasn't kidding and before we knew it we were taken to a nice room with a couch and some blankets on the ground. It felt more like a room in a home than a hospital room. The doctor did a quality of life assessment and that helped us with our decision. She and her assistant were so gentle with us as our emotions were high. They explained everything to us before and during the quick and peaceful process. They made a lovely print of our dog's paw and provided a nice cardboard casket. They offer cremation services also.
They helped our family through this very difficult time with the perfect combination of compassion and professionalism. Thank you Idaho Veternary Hospital!!

I love how much Dr Hacker AND everyone else at Idaho Veterinary Hospital care about animals. I have trusted them for years. I will continue to go here because they are so awesome. Love it. Thank you guys!

This place is amazing! The friendliest staff! Willing to help even if you have yet to get your animals in! So glad we take are dogs here!

They do a good job for our two cockatoos. We had some questions about Joey and they were able to get him on and see him. And, a week later he's doing great and back to his old self. Thank you!

Super nice staff and very caring and loving towards our little Tucker dog

Went in on a Thursday evening carrying in my dog with on wound on his leg. Ended up being a compound fracture. They were very kind and caring, as soon as they saw blood dripping from (under my make shift bandage) They took him back and got me into a room. They made sure I was ok before going back upfront. They kept me updated and asked ever time they needed to do something besides what we had already talked about. They gave me time to make phone calls and process everything. They made sure I understood all the options and was informed. They gave me high and low estimates.

I ended up having to leave my dog over night, and they texted me letting me know how he was doing the next morning. He was scheduled for surgery that morning. They had some emergency surgery come in and kept me updated on his turn. Since it got pushed back and he was on IV pain meds they had made him a nice little bed one of the back offices with one of the Gal's so he wasn't alone. I was even aloud to go lay with him. That really calmed me down. As I was feeling like I failed my dog somehow. They kept reassuring me he would be fine and it wasn't my fault and I wasn't a crazy person for wanting to lay on the floor, instead of in the chair.

They really care about not just the animals but the people also. They keep you updated on everything. I would definitely recommend them for any issue big or small. I would think about making them your primary vet if you don't have one. They are open later than most other vets and on Saturday.

Big thanks to all the staff. You made this Momma more than just happy but comfortable leaving my baby in you care.

100% Love this place! Idaho Vet Hospital has amazing staff! They also treat your pet like a king or queen. I have included photos of my new pup copper. They took care of him and am super satisfied

Very kind staff. You can tell the vets really love animals. They did our surgeries and checked in multiple times after! We’ve had some traumatizing vet experiences in the valley and they make us feel at ease.

They really care about my fur baby. The staff is very thoughtful of your feelings, I would recommend them to anyone who loves their fur babies.
