The Nutty Pear

First time eating here and LOVED it. Atmosphere, food, service, the whole 9 yards was 10/10. I love unique places like this - not cookie cutter chain restaurants. It did take awhile for our food and drinks but I didn’t mind it one bit - I like being able to enjoy our drinks and company for awhile before food comes out. It seems that restaurants these days have everything come out so quick - appetizers come 5 min after drinks and 5 min after that the meal comes. It’s all so quick to fully enjoy. The Nutty Pear experience is exactly what a dining out experience should be - enough time to ENJOY and relax. Not in and out in 1 hour. That being said, just keep that in mind when you go. Don’t expect to be in and out in 1 hour. Expect to relax and enjoy it all! Pictured is the chicken carbonara I ate - delicious!

Drove past many times, finally made a reservation and I'm sorry I waited so long. If you enjoy a different menu selection, not the usual and ordinary, I highly recommend. The food was simply excellent, service stellar, and atmosphere perfect. We tried brushetta, brie, bisque, and potstickers. We all agreed that everything was cooked to prefection and the presentation impeccable. Entrees were shrimp stir fry, Mediterranean shrimp, and blackened chicken. Again, cooked perfectly and beautiful presentation but let me say, the shrimp were some of the best I've ever had, quality ingredients and a love for good food are a prioirty here and quite obvious from the preparation to presentation.

Wonderful service and food always cooked to perfection. Always curious to see what amazing Specials are on the menu. Best fine dining in the County.

Comfortable atmosphere and we all enjoyed our dinners. The vegan dishes are incredibly creative and very much appreciated!

It was the first time at this restaurant and the dinner was vegetables with spinach ravioli. All scratch made food which was by far the best I've ever had. A quaint little place just a bit off the beaten path. The service was excellent also. I will definitely be visiting there again and again.

Excellent place eat. Just happened to stumble across it driving on a back road while visiting a friend. The French onion soup is the best I’ve ever had. My friend got the wings and let me try one, they were crispy and cooked perfect. I got the steak for my main course and it had blue cheese on top, never had a steak like but it was great. The staff is friendly and attentive. If you’re from the are or just visiting it would be well worth your time to stop in and have a meal.

I recently took my wife here for her birthday dinner and it was fantastic. The place is small but cozy which allows for a more intimate dinner experience. I found the service to be attentive and timely but at the same time at a slower pace which allowed us to enjoy conversation, drinks and appetizers and our meal without feeling rushed so that they could seat the next table. It's what I would expect from more of a fine dining establishment rather than the typical restaurant. The food was delicious, cooked perfectly and the wine was a great compliment to the steak I ordered. We had been wanting to try this place out for a while and were so glad we did. We'll definitely be back.

Loved everything about this place during our travels, especially the hidden location in the woods and the oldest parts of the building. Food and portions were great for the price and our server was lovely !

First let me say make sure you make a reservation. We decided to give this place a try as we heard a lot of good things. We weren't let down. The food and service was amazing! Really enjoyed the place and will definitely eat here again. Highly recommend trying this place.

My all time favorite restaurant!! Excellent customer service and fantastic dinners. Homemade guacamole is to die for ( if it’s not listed as an appetizer you can always ask and if she has everything that’s needed she will gladly make it for you ). Also, the stuffed salmon is a must!! Hidden gem in Schuylkill county ❤

We had reservation for outdoor seating, but it was to hot so we asked if we where able to sit indoors, and they were more than happy to comply to our needs, also the staff was phenomenal, the food was fantastic, also the drinks, and the bread was fresh and baked at you're beaking call. Yes we will visit again. Thanks to the staff.

My wife and I are regulars at the Nutty Pear for good reason...the food is consistently excellent and the service is personal. Patti will always honor adjustments to entrees (a feature especially important to vegetarians...there are several vegetarian entrees already on board) Timeliness is a little slow, but consistent with the food quality. With regard to phone shoppers, this is a small restaurant with no hostess. Don't expect a chatty employee when a place like this is busy.

My favorite place to eat. All fresh made food right down to the blue cheese. Nothing from a box, can or jar here. Slow paced, so sit back, have a drink and enjoy! This is a great place for a group. Call for reservations!! Friendly staff. I can’t say enough about the Nutty Pear!

Delicious, fresh food in a cozy ambiance. Great place to take out of town guests, celebrate with friends, or just treat yourself to a lovely meal.

Absolutely delicious! Such a romantic setting. Our waitress was very nice and helpful. We are making this a weekly tradition.
