LVPG Obstetrics and Gynecology-Red Horse Road

I went in as a new patient for a routine exam, and had a surprisingly pleasant visit.

Every single staff member made it a relaxing and comfortable experience.
Barb, the nurse practioner was professional, friendly, and proficient.

I really like Barb.. she made me feel relaxed and less nervous about my visit

They’re an amazing OBGYN/Gyno! Whenever I have/had an issue they either get me in right away or tell me to get to the ER to get checked or if I need a lab done they will order one right away.

Very nice and clean place and all of the staff is pretty friendly over all. The biggest issue I’ve had my entire pregnancy is the long appointment wait times. Multiple times I’m in there for an hour and a half or more. I understand being busy, but I would also like to be in and out.

My fiance and I are expecting. This is my first child. I am so excited!

She has three children from a previous relationship. (Ages are five years and under.) Today we arrived at her next appointment at LVPG Obstetrics & Gynecology.

I am always trying to be as supportive as I can. I have been with her for every appointment, building memories as we go. We did not have anyone to watch the children, so we brought them with.

When we arrived, we were informed that only one person would be allowed back. We were also told we would have to leave as we would not be permitted to wait in the waiting room. The children were not being rowdy or otherwise misbehaving. They were even wearing their masks.

Now I understand there is concern surrounding COVID-19. I have a previous medical background, so I am not uneducated to the issue. However, we are all family. So I brought the children out to the parking lot, and waited for my fiance to return.

Latter my fiance informed me that the staff indicated she would have not been permitted to continue with her appointment if I had not been there to take care of the children.

Funny that this establishment is literally in the business of making families, while making an issue out of a family they helped create. Babysitters are not always an option. Especially right now.

This is frustrating. This is my first child. I am trying to do what is right. I am fearful that when my son arrives, these inconsiderate policies will prevent me from furthermore supporting his mother, missing the birth.

This is my first pregnancy and I'm still a teen :'))... So it isn't easy...
All I have for an ID is my passport, which I use for everything.... Getting a job, doctor visits, EVERYTHING.
When checking in they said my passport wasn't a real ID... And I should do better and get my state ID.. I don't get it... It works everywhere else...
And thank God I had my insurance card on me this time because they wouldn't allow me to show them a picture of it..
I just think the lady was being very rude and lazy because she couldn't scan my info into the system and had to manually do it...
