After riding 80 miles the first day and trying to do another 160 miles, I started day 2 afraid to put my butt against the seat. We came to this shop on closed hours but the owner readjusted my seat and I was able to ride out the miles. Wouldn’t have been able to without the help.

Friendliest owner ever. We had our noses pressed in the window peeking inside off hours and he opened up the store just for us. Solid inventory with everything you need. They also fix bicycles.

Cute store! Had everything we needed after popping some tubes on the GAP. The owners warned us about the construction on the Paw Paw tunnel which was super helpful as we would have had to walk an hour over the mountain.

Confluence Cyclery has everything you could possibly need for touring the gap, riding around town, or doing a stubborn bike problem. The owner, Brad, was very kind and helped my team and me with everything we could need. I highly recommend this shop to any cyclist.

This has to be one of the best stocked, most helpful, most knowledgeable bike shop and owner I've ever met. We were on the GAP on a Sunday morning and I busted a spoke on my rear wheel with a full bikepack. So, I really couldn't continue with a broken spoke; I would have eventually broken other spokes. We stopped in to Confluence Cyclery and he was able to replace the spoke, true the wheel, fill the tire and put the wheel back on the bike in no time. He had exactly what I needed and knew exactly what had to be done. He was super helpful, had great advice, and tons of bike supplies in his shop. If you're in Confluence, or even near Confluence, stop in. One of the best bike shops and most helpful and knowledgeable owner you'll ever see. Absolutely amazing.

My bike started squealing a few miles from Confluence. The owner wasn't busy so was agreeable to looking into the problem while we went to Mitch's for lunch. It turns out that I should have put a thin layer of grease on the jockey wheels when I cleaned them (now I know). I asked him to give the bike a once-over while we ate. He ended up adjusting the bottom bracket and tightened the steering bracket. He charged me $20 and we were on our way. There was a short period of time when I considered buying one of the bikes in the shop (very nice selection) and turning in the 1987 Fuji Sagres but nostalgia won me over. My butt was not too happy about the decision.

We were riding the GAP and had a flat tire just outside of Confluence. We decided to have a bike shop fix it instead of doing it ourselves. Google showed the bike shop was open however when we arrived the lights were out but the owner was inside. The shop was closed on this day and we just by chance caught him there. Without hesitation he took care of the tire and we were on our way. Great job! Super nice.

Today, while biking the GAP trail in the rain, I got a flat tire. I managed to get the bike to Confluence, only to find out that Confluence Cyclery is closed Thursdays. When I got there, they just happened to show up and told me they never leave anyone stranded. They took my bike in and repaired the flat in 20 minutes, for a reasonable price.

Two takeaways:
1. Excellent customer service!
2. This is where you need to buy your bike and accessories.

Highly recommend this shop. I had an issue with the bike and the owner immediately took it in, worked on it, and got it fixed. Very professional and courteous. All of the other shops I called didn’t seem to be interested or couldn’t answer if they actually had people working today (what the heck?) This guy is legit!

This place was great for a small town bike store on the Great Allegheny Passage. We couldn't bring our own bikes on the trip, but we did supply our own helmets. Owner took our reservation over the phone for 3 normal hybrids and 1 tandem for a day of trail riding. The owner is retired military himself, so we got a nice military discount that made the price extremely reasonable.

Day of pickup was hassle free. Bikes were in good shape (especially for rental equipment) and there is plenty of info on the trail both in print and from the lips of the friendly owner and his wife. Highly recommended!

Great, friendly, knowledgeable bike shop along the Great Allegheny Passage. After buying a bicycle computer and a front handlebar bag I've been wanting for years and about an hour of chatting, we left feeling like old friends. We came back 2 days later and Brad made a minor repair and asked only that I contribute to the firemans fund. He and buddy, who had come to help him for the busy July 4th weekend, gave us good advice about bicycles, restaurants and historical sights. The shop has a good supply of equipment and good prices. Stop by on your trip along the GAP.

While doing the Washington DC to Pittsburgh ride I had a problem with my bike just outside of Confluence PA. Contacted Confluence Cyclery (“Brad Smith”) and he not only stayed open on a Sunday until we got to the shop but arranged for someone to meet us at the trail head. Brad not only owns a great bike shop but rides himself and services his customers above and beyond. To highly recommend just does not seems to saying enough.
Thanks again Brad!

I can't say enough good things about this place. Rode the GAP trail for the first time (Cumberland to Pittsburgh) two weeks ago during the offseason. Had multiple equipment failures (two failed tubes and a broken pump) that caused me to have to ride extended miles on my rim. Called multiple places that were either closed or couldn't help. I contacted Confluence Cyclery which was closed but I left a message. Brad called me back promptly and even though he couldn't be there himself he had his friend Larry come meet me personally and opened the shop so I could get the equipment needed to continue the trip. If not for them I wouldn't have made it to Pittsburgh. Huge thanks to Brad and Larry! You guys saved my trip.

My son and I recently biked the GAP and C&O trail from Pittsburgh to DC. On our 2nd day (a Sunday), my son’s seat mount bolt sheared off soon after we left Confluence from a nice lunch. With no seat, we rode back into Confluence where we found the Confluence Cyclery closed (owner had sign on the door indicating that he was away). We rode through the town and came upon the River’s Edge Café and B&B where my son went inside to seek suggestions on where we might find some help with his seat. After explaining to her that the Bike Shop was closed, the owner – Anna Marie Yakubisin – walked us to her maintenance shop where she invited us to use whatever hardware and tools she had available. She also called her offsite property maintenance person to come in to see if he could help as well. Unfortunately, there were no obvious parts that we could use to fix the problem. She then called the owner of the Confluence Cyclery (Brad Smith who was out of town) herself explaining the situation. The Bike shop owner then called a friend of his to meet us at the Confluence Cyclery to let us into the shop to see if we could repair the seat in his absence. We met Brad Smith’s friend (I don’t recall his name) at the shop who let us in. After searching for a correct replacement part and unable to find one (he was not sure where the owner kept all of his parts), Mr. Smith’s friend called another friend of his who lived nearby and who had a well equipped workshop in the hopes that a proper part or repair could be made there. After riding to his friend’s home, we were ultimately able to find a bolt that allowed my son to use his bike for 2 days until we got to Cumberland where we were able to visit the bike shop there for a permanent repair. While this was a very untimely and potentially very problematic situation for us, I cannot express enough praise for the graciousness, kindness, and help provided by Anna Marie Yakubisin and her staff at the River’s Edge Café and Bed and Breakfast, Mr. Brad Smith of Confluence Cyclery, and the other folks in Confluence (I wish I knew or could recall their names) who went out of their way to try to help us on a Sunday afternoon. I would encourage anyone reading this to visit Confluence PA to experience the hospitality we did and to patronize the River’s Edge Café and Bed & Breakfast and the Confluence Cyclery. I know I will.

Very friendly, helpful and knowledgable staff, in a surprisingly well stocked store. While riding the GAP Trail he repaired one ebike controller, replaced a leaky tire and topped up everyone's tire pressure and discussed local history, all before we got back on the trail. There's even an art gallery in the back!

Met the owners at a trail town conference and was very impressed with their commitment to the Great Allegheny Passage as well as the communities along the rail to trail system. They are thoughtful and friendly, stop by to rent or buy a new bike. We must all support small business and entrepreneurship in this country. Keep on biking!

I was biking on the GAP and my chain came off and jammed in the hub. I was fortunately in confluence so I walked my bike to Confluene Cyclery. While I had lunch they fixed my bike for $15.00. Such a deal and done correctly,
so much better than my bike shop in Pittsburgh.

I have highly recommend this bike shop.

Brad and his wife are the most gracious of hosts. We stayed in their house on the Gap trail and would recommend it highly. in addition we rented bikes and talked bikes with Brad who's extremely knowledgeable and helpful and most importantly kind. If you want to stay in Confluence Pennsylvania contact Brad.
